  1. I would say the unbalanced combat was the most fun thing about it.

  3. Hi, this tool is so cool, I've been able to fix up a few of the mods I've made through simple text file editing to have more robust solutions and it's really great. But I've been trying to make a mod that sets it so that the last stage of Xoti's quest - when she asks you to take the souls to a Luminous Adra pillar - doesn't trigger until after you've completed Magran's teeth, but I'm having some trouble. I tried setting the relevant conversation nodes to check for that as a conditional, but that hasn't seemed to do anything. So my next thought was modifying the quest stages, but it's a little unclear to me where I find the stuff I need. I can't quite tell where the game triggers quest event progressions from - they aren't in the conversation nodes I'd expect them to be, and the actual quest flowchart hasn't been a lot of help. Any help on where I should start?

  4. https://www.nexusmods.com/pillarsofeternity2/mods/804 This should fix the bug described here: https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/pc/227477-pillars-of-eternity-ii-deadfire/faqs/76599/bugs-and-oddities As I've understood it, this has been a pain point ever since patch 5.0 for many Credit to @ShadyDax for nudging me to check this bug out Note that this does not fix potions added by mods (I'm gonna have to patch Potion of Enlightenment later ) Going to sleep now

  5. No, there just weren't enough, at least not in the state the game launched in. With the combat bugs mostly fixed I can't see myself replaying the game. Looking for ways to break the combat more and more was fun. Playing those encounters in the way they were intended?

  6. I remember ranting to a friend who had played through each game on Path of the Damned about how frustrating this bug was. Expecting him to know what I was talking about. His response "I never saw that". Turns out the mad man didn't use any AI behaviours and just micro manages every attack his party makes...

  7. Hey @Larena27, I've looked at somethings around Xoti's quest before. Did you try adding the condition on Conversation Tigger node "403" of "companion_cv_xoti_main"? That's what seemed to start the conversation that leads into the final parts of the quest when I was looking into it. Though maybe there is another place it can trigger like after a rest? If that's the case it could be tricky to alter as, just like Conversation Tigger nodes, scripts will ignore any condition on whatever node it points at by design.

  8. Shame! All the best to Carrie and thank you for her work at Obsidian. Sagani was one of my favourites of PoE1 cast (and that's a pretty stacked companion cast). I can't say I expect DLC for Avowed, but lately they tend to be lead by a different creative lead team anyway (so was true of PoE2 DLCs and Outer Worlds DLCs, I think).

  9. Very un-exciting leveling up. Very unbalanced combat.

  13. https://www.pcgamer.com/gaming-industry/avowed-director-carrie-patel-leaves-obsidian-after-12-years-to-join-the-netflix-studio-behind-oxenfree/ Interesting decision, Carrie Patel is leaving Obsidian to take a prominent position at a Netflix studio I didnt even know existed People take new jobs all the time and its relatively common but I assume her creativity will be missed " As for Patel, she's had a long and seemingly enviable career at Obsidian: Prior to serving as director and narrative designer on the very well-received Avowed, she worked as narrative designer on Pillars of Eternity and The Outer Worlds, and narrative design lead (along with Obsidian stalwart Josh Sawyer) on Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire. Given all that, it might seem a bit odd that Patel would want to make the move from one to the other, and for now we're left to speculate: Netflix has the resources to put a lot of money on the table to attract big-name talent, sure, but it's just as likely that Patel simply wants to get creative with a smaller team. Patel herself hasn't said any more about her reasons for making the move or what she'll be getting up to at Night School, and Netflix confirmed that Patel has joined Night School as a game director but declined to comment further. 14. Started on WoRT yesterday and I have so far just defeated Hosilla at the end of the Maze so its prologue chapter, very early days I feel its going to be an excellent game, so far some things I like I am going to completely customize my party, after playing P:K I am comfortable now with the rules to not use the auto-configuration when companions advance I have enabled the Crusader quests, I made a "mistake " by auto managing Kingdom advancement in P:K and I want to participate in all components in WoTR So far I like the overall main narrative, I am looking forward to meeting some hot Succubi I see there is an obvious good vs evil path you can choose and that is represented in different ways like which companions you can choose, as usual I will choose good and the Angel Mythic Path They have added some new mechanics like the way you disable traps and more advanced camera options. These seem to be improvements on P:K

  15. Finished original Kingdom Come: Deliverance. Pretty cool, but flawed game. I really enjoyed the setting and an immersive nature of the game. I also liked characters, though felts fairly bored by the plot, especially by the end. In general, I enjoyed it more when the game allowed me to roam free and offered a more freeform way of solving objectives. I really liked the early and mid game, but I felt the game overstayed its welcome. The nature of leveling system means that about halfway through the game, I was an unstoppable force of violence and charisma. Not having to specialize always dampers my enjoyment of an RPG. Also, I also felt that the better my character got the worst the game became. There was something appealing about vagueness of the early game, and once I understand how the game works I was far less invested - gameplay wise, those are not exactly great systems. Still, looking forward to the sequel, though I will take a break from the IP for now. Modded my arcade stick a bit - put in larger actuator and a mid tension spring. I am still getting used to it, and while it didn't solve my most common input fumbles, it made double tapping for dashing and certain specials much much easier due to shorter stick travel distance. Very helpful in SF6. My hand is getting tired again, though, after longer play session.

  16. Yes, thank you, @Azdeus. And @Mamoulian War, I'm with you. I was already pretty angry with Owlcat over their throwing us RTwP fans under the bus, and how they've treated their KS backers who had paid for physical goods. But this is over the top.
