  1. https://www.nexusmods.com/pillarsofeternity2/mods/804 This should fix the bug described here: https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/pc/227477-pillars-of-eternity-ii-deadfire/faqs/76599/bugs-and-oddities As I've understood it, this has been a pain point ever since patch 5.0 for many Credit to @ShadyDax for nudging me to check this bug out Note that this does not fix potions added by mods (I'm gonna have to patch Potion of Enlightenment later ) Going to sleep now

  3. Although I don't play them anymore due to my wrist injuries, I always thought this was the way to go with singleplayer shooters. A player that can be killed easily but who can also kill everyone else easily (especially if they're consistently playing intelligently and making sure to out-position and out-gun everyone else) has always seemed so much more satisfying than both player and enemies just being damage sponges. Well, really, I kind of prefer it in all types of games, but especially shooters.

  4. Follow Boeroer's advices, after then in act 2 with Defiance Bay, Endless Path, Dyrford Crossing encounters and mercants a world opens to you In early game you can also give some normal weapons slaying enchantments (i.e. slaying kiths); it is +5 acc and +25% base damage, it helps in some encounters and you don't waste enchantments points on unique ones

  5. I enjoy Rockstar games, but the more they try to push "realism", the more out of place the combat feels. Rdr2 was the worst for this. Feed yourself, feed your horse, clean your horse, also drink an elixir while you are getting shot in the head repeatedly to heal. It always felt like they could just make your health considerably lower and drop 90% of the enemies you fight and the combat could atleast kind of match the rest of the game.... but I guess people like to feel like Rambo all the time in every game

  6. It's so weird. I see that trailer and I'm thinking.. damn, this looks so good. But then I imagine R* gameplay on top of it, where in every single job you end up headshoting 100s of bad guys and I'm like.. meh.

  7. Hello, I am trying to fix some translation mistakes in french, and one of them is the effect description of an enchantment: Champion's Relic from Kapana Taga weapon. As seen on the picture below, it should be +3% instead of 0% I know how to change abilities description but not enchantment description from a weapon. Which text file should I use ? Abilities (probably not) gui file or statuseffects file ? Should I write the ID of the enchantment and then the description of the effects ? I tried something like that but it did not work <Entry> <ID>Champions_relic</ID> <DefaultText>+3% aux dégâts de corps à corps pour chaque cible engagée, Ennemis engagés +2</DefaultText> <FemaleText /> </Entry> But it did not work, should I have a number value for the ID instead of the Champions_relic ? Thanks

  8. Hello everyone ! First time posting in the forum. I've managed to achieve something that really intriguided me, and wanted to know if this can be reproduce and if so how. In my save game, while playing the with march ll DLC and infiltrating the Iron Flail camp. I entered with my Devil of Caroc through the West Gate at first in stealth. When I ended up getting caught, a fight insued where my Devil of Caroc was out of position so ended up using shadowing beyond to reposition. After the fight however, I found that my Devil of caroc is permantly with the effect of shadowing beyond. I even ended clearing the north part of the camp to sneak in the commanders tent only with her and people would not react to her attack. Even after loading inside the tent the effect is still present and she is still stealthed. I wanted to know if this a common bug and if it can reproduced in any way in other areas ?

  9. I liked shooters like Ghost Recon where you could die in 1 or 2 hits

  10. I wouldn't mind a few less games, maybe in the 56-65 range, but I don't think that's very likely to happen. We have a joke that during the last few minutes of the game it switches from RTWP to turn-based mode. But like I said, I'm loving the playoffs in general this year even if I find the Nuggets somewhat painful to watch at times. My heart stops every time Westbrick has the ball and they play so lazy and sloppy sometimes.

  11. I think the constant penalties and free throws are even worse than the TV timeouts. But yeah, people generally only watch the playoffs, and sometimes not even then. Watching the regular season makes sense if your team has been in the gutter for forever and suddenly start to have a good season and/or if your team gets a breakout star player, but besides that, there are way too many games and they happen every single day of the week. I prefer the NFL's approach to having the majority of games all take place on Sunday (and I generally hate having to tune into the solitary Monday Night Football and Thursday Night Football games, so I usually don't unless it's my own team). Also, two years later, and it's very clear the Bucks' gambit in rebuilding the team around Giannis and Lillard has not worked out in their favor. The team is worse in every way than it was before that trade, and now Lillard blew out his achilles at age 36. I wouldn't be surprised if Giannis ends up leaving this off-season or the next, the state of the team under this GM and Doc Rivers has become rather deplorable.

  14. It took them forever to finish The Empire Strikes Back - IIRC, the film prints they had available for it were all badly damaged and it took combining several of them to construct a whole film...plus all the necessary editing and re-grading to make them approximately match. The Empire Strikes Back is, of course, the only Star Wars film I particularly like. The result is...mixed. I think their A New Hope looks generally better than Harmy's Despecialized, I think their Return of the Jedi trades blows with Harmy's - both kind of have their pros and cons, I don't think you're wrong for going with either. But their The Empire Strikes Back has a rougher appearance to it, and I feel like Harmy's generally wins. Though both of them kind of try to accomplish different things - Harmy's is a cleaner and more traditional digital blu-ray experience, while TN1's efforts are more like what you'd have experienced if you'd watched these movies in theaters way back when. Even with that said, I like to see clarity of detail, correct color grading, and not having the brights or darks blown out, and I think the Empire Strikes Back reels they had just have too many problems - problems like the above LotR screenshots that are simply impossible to correct in post. I think I read that they actually found a new reel that's better than the previous sources they used and they plan on making a 2.0 at some point using it, but that might still be years off at this point. While the neutral color tones are interesting, The Fellowship of the Ring is my favorite of the LotR movies and has the widest range of deliberately chosen color tones/themes due to its more varied locations than the later two movies, and seeing it all get neutralized ends up being rather undesirable to me. The over-sharpening and DNR (dynamic noise reduction) employed to eliminate grain and make the movie look more digital (they were shot on film!) is also terrible, it gives the whole thing a certain uncanny look. It's bad enough when it's done to just cartoons, but I cannot abide it at all when it's done to real human faces.

  15. Yeah, that's a good tip: creating some anti-kith, -wilder, -vessel weapons from regular fine, exceptional or even superb ones is not a bad idea. Sometimes you find some exceptional stuff early (for example if you take on Crägholt Bluffs way too early but manage to kill two or three enemies there before having to retreat) but don't want to replace your dear unique weapon. Then it's nice to turn it into an exceptional special weapon against <insert enemy type> for relatively cheap and combine it with the testing bonus from survival to great effect against certain encounters. One example: the Dweller bounty is pretty tough, but with a survival bonus vs. primordial and fitting weapons it becomes def. easier.

  17. If you are using offensive chants with Kana, a large shield is not such a good idea bc. the -8 accuracy hurts the already not very high base accuracy of offensive chants. Interestingly enough (only with offensive chants) you can use a one handed single weapon which grants +12 accuracy for weapon attacks but also for offensive chants. I give Kana plate armor and a single hatchet and only switch to hatchet + small shield when he's under duress. Your Kind Wayfarer should focus on heavy hitting one handers to maximize the potential of his FoD strikes. You only have 2 per encounter, so it's best to squeeze the most dmg out of that - also in regards to Strange Mercy (heal on kill). The mechanic of lashes (have to overcome 1/4th DR separately, no MIN damage, DR bypass does not apply) makes it so that higher base damage (heavier one handers) are much better with FoD than the light ones. Not so great: flails, daggers, fists, stilettos, hatchets, clubs, rapiers Better: sabres, spears, hammers, maces, swords, battle axes But of course it's best to use the weapons with the highest quality and with the fitting weapon focus first of all. Because if you miss your lashes will miss, too. And if you graze the lashes will have less physical dmg to be based on. Unique enchantments don't make a big difference that early in the game (see Gaun's Share). War bow on Cipher is great. There's a unique war bow in Copperlane (merchant) named Borresaine which is good. I would only switch to a gun (arquebus) for alpha strikes against weak enemies at the start of battle if that's what you want. Too much hassle for my taste, but it can give you an edge. For Ranger the best two weapons are Persistence (get it asap, it's rel. early in the Endless Paths, use MIG gear and buffs because wounding scales with MIG) and Stormcaller (White March). Before that Sagani's Massuk Hunting Bow is good because it has dual damage - unlike normal bows. So usually, on average, it will roll better dmg numbers than anything you can get before Persistence because it picks the lower DR to overcome (pierce or crush). You will get the same with Stormcaller (shock/pierce) but way better. A nice thing about Persistance is that it automatically unlocks Predator's Sense of the Animal Companion. And in PoE the Animal Companion's base(!) damage scales with level. This means the bites of the fox will reach pretty high dmg per attack (albeit slow) which works very well with the +50% dmg bonus of Predator's Sense. Never forget the Animal Companion. I personally love to give Durance the best arquebus I can find, Weapon Focus Soldier, Gunner, Marksman and Magran's weapon talent that grants him +10 acc with sword and arquebus. That talent lifts him to the accuracy of fighters alone and makes him a pretty good shot, especially if he opens combat with Inspiring Radiance. Later I even give him Runner's Wounding Shot and Interdiction. The reason is that this lets him contribute really well to fights even without casting one per-rest spell. His RES is already high so his deflection usually isn't the lowest one in the party, meaning he usually doesn't get bothered by enemy rogues/barbs/rangers a lot. So I can afford to give him no shield etc. As backup I use a sword + shield setup (sword also has +10 acc) or Firebrand from Forgemaster Gloves (3/rest,works with any weapon focus and with the magran talent's +10 acc, too). Best enchants on weapons is lashes and quality. If you can get a speed weapon that fits your weapon focus etc.: great. Wounding, too. Marking weapon on a Paladin is great, pick Coordinated Attacks then, too. For example your Kind Wayfarer can wield Shame or Glory + another sword. Most other unique enchantments aren't that important quite frankly. If you plan to pick an elemental booster talent (Scion of Flame etc.) you should put the fitting lash on a weapon. Scion of Flame -> burning lash. The lash on the weapon then gets boosted from 25% to 30% (*1.2). Lashes are a multiplicative dmg bonus, so this is good. For example a Paladin with FoD and Intense Flames (50% burning lash and 25% burning lash) should also pick a 25% burning lash for the weapon itself if he plans to pick Scion of Flame. This would boost his lashes to +60%/+30%/+30% which is great. If you don't want to pick one of those talents you can put whatever lash on the weapon. Sometimes it's good to have some alternative damage and not put everything into one element - just because you might meet resistant foes. --- Btw: a Kind Wayfarer's best setup usually is dual wielding because of White Flames' healing procs. BUT with Strange Mercy (heal on kill) it can be better to use Firebrand (from Forgemaster Gloves and/or Belt of the Royal Deadfire Cannoneer). It's does enormous base damage and gets boosted by Scion of Flame (because it deals burn damage). With FoD and Intense Flames it deals enormous(!) damagee per hit (but only proves one healing with White Flames). You can kill enemies very quickly with Firebrand - and while White Flames' will only proc half as much (2 instead of 4 times) you will have a lot more procs of Strange Mercy.

  23. You open the in-game console (check out the key binding in the game options) and type iRoll20s <enter> (console will close) (reopen console) SetPlayerGender Male <enter> To change it back to female you type SetPlayerGender Female You only have to type the iRoll20s command once to unlock cheat commands such as setPlayerGender. But it will disable achievements! So if you want to keep those and just try it out: don't save after doing this - or save it under a new name. That way your former savegame will not get marked as cheated and you can continue with it after trying out the male heads, achievements intact. But if you want to keep the male head model on a female character I'm afraid you have to accept the loss of achievements - or get a mod that does this for you (it won't disable achievements).

  24. I don't know if it's common knowledge but mortification of the soul has some strange potential: you can save up wounds if do not mind some cheese. How it works: 1. get to 1 health, BDD, SoT (I know). 2. Activate mortification of the soul couple of times -> no immedite affect, as there is no health to reduce. But! 3. The minute you get healed the affect activates -> your freshly gained health turns into wounds instantly. I got 6, so I could activate FF level 9 for +450% damage before the previous stack expired.
