  1. Yes. There's a somewhat clear divide between the seasons, which is rather noticable on a rewatch, but probably not so much when you watch the show on a weekly basis for six years with a lot time passing between seasons. Like anyone needs a spoiler warning for an almost 20 year old show, but, warning. Spoilered more to keep the post short than to hide the spoilers. Uh. In the face of this Sailor Moon'eqsue plot, people's problem with the ending was that the characters meet in a church, with Jack's father, who is aptly named Christian Shephard, ushering them into the afterlife after Desmond makes them realize what is important and how to let go.

  2. Haven't seen any yet so far, knock on wood. But there was a month where youtube went aggressive on add blockers and it was a pain in the ass.

  3. In which case they'll be getting neither from me. I also will hold off to get it cheaper later. Nowadays I find myself willing to pay full price only for games I like from small indie developers.

  4. Started Unavowed. Thought I should play the first game before the sequel comes out. Or is it a prequel, I haven't really followed development. https://store.steampowered.com/app/336140/Unavowed/

  5. I'll wait for when I have a new computer. By that time GOG will give it away for free. Or I'll be roaming a wasteland, fighting people for bottle caps and GOG will be a distant memory.

  7. I suggested before that it is Microsoft's way of adding "value" to Gamepass after hiking the price on consoles. "Look how many AAA $70 releases you get". On a sidenotes, it seems the floodgates have been open and games are in general pushing what they can charge.

  8. Great read, its not a surprise that the common thread in most of the blogs is the appreciation and love of the strength of Obsidians story telling and world building Someone might say " but every RPG has to have good story telling " but thats not necessarily true. You can find entertaining RPG that are strong on combat mechanics or quest choices that you enjoy but the overarching narrative is not fantastic A grand and compelling narrative that is truly thought provoking is an art that Obsidian delivers on. And I gauge that on when I literally have to stop the game and think for 15-20 minutes about what choice I need to make and the consequence around that choice Like with PoE2 and with F: NV and who I should support around who ends up controlling NV

  9. Well said. These qualities, the player's agency with branching paths, choices, and their consequences, are what sets Obsidian's work apart and utilises the unique aspects of the interactive medium. Also the strong writing and characters, rich lore, and other engaging and well-designed gameplay systems. I am looking forward to Avowed, even if I am going to wait before purchasing (would like to have it on GOG and complete). There were Eothas and the faction leaders. I found myself quite enjoying cutting down Atsura and Hazanui Karu. They were reasonably grounded and understandable, while having the capacity to be compelling antagonists. The same can be said about the other factions, I suppose. The Vailian Trading Company was the least directly hostile to the party, but they absolutely could (did) murder random civilians. On the other hand, allying with a faction would provide a satisfying ending as well. Though, as it required compromising my ego and losing companions, I greatly appreciated the ability to finish the game without their support.

  10. Conspiracy theory time: They set release price at $70 to drive people into subscribing to Gamepass.

  11. Hey thanks for clicking. I want to bind the "smart camera" to a hotkey I can use in-game without going into the settings menu to on / off that all the time. I've looked around in the .gamedatabundles and also with Apotheosis but I can't find anything myself. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, regards / b

  12. Avowed may be some fun but I never even finished Outer Worlds/didn't play Pillars2, so (for me) I'd wait until it's $40-50 or something. If I remember at that point. It gives me a sense so far, of colorful mediocrity (sorry, Obsidian). At least for my tastes. To be fair, I'm no longer really their target audience I suppose. Edit: nor any AAA's target audience, basically

  13. Took a risk and ordered a PSU via Amazon that wasn't "sold by Amazon." Yesterday it said it was "shipped." Tonight it says "delivered in mail box." But it's not (wouldn't fit in our mailbox anyway). USPS tracking number says it was delivered somewhere in OK state. >.> Amazon says sometimes they get marked as delivered before they are and wait a couple days it might arrive. Maybe OK is where it shipped to first (1 day would be a very short shipped/deliver time for USPS). Good grief. Whatever. We'll see.

  14. An example of rule breaking being? Collecting data? I mean tiktok is operating in EU still even though it's much more strict regarding user data than the US and I don't see it doing anything special compared to other social media app, other then not being owned by a western company. It's a myth that China is somehow special regarding this, the US has engaged multiple time in corporate espionage and stealing of technology, from its allies even and it's not like they are the paragon of respecting other countries rules either. It all boils down to profits and the ability to enforce the rules, there is no "justice" just interests. You would be surprised, people here are fascinated with Trump too.
