  1. https://pillarsofeternity.fandom.com/wiki/Something_Secret You have to end the quest returning to Gordy and lying to him - a kind of "I'll give you the dagger if you tell me..." or something like this IIRC. I suggest to save before confronting Gordy and then try all options I have used the dagger in question, one of the best due to speed enchantment.

  3. Watched Eggers' Nosferatu, less a remake as an attempt to craft a story that follows beats from the original film (an unauthorized adaption of the Dracula stage play), from the Dracula novel and from European folklore traditions. I described it afterwords as a story crafted in a way to make sense of the major Vampire elements. The mix is a gloomy horror film that is permeated by a feeling of doom and an almost cosmic horror approach to normal people wrestling with the unnatural evil the nosferatu represents as love, sex and death entwine them all. Not as weird as The Lighthouse (albeit sharing similar ideas of encountering a vast and unknowable something) it feels more of a companion piece to The VVitch.

  4. You can think about the possibility to add the split screen from the same console or pc to play the adventures of the Grounded. I think it would be an interesting feature to add and not just the possibility to play online with our friends. What do you think about this idea? Greetings.

  5. Imo the best "power gamer" option is to go single class Druid. This way Tekehu just gets the best selection of spells, including the foe-only bonus spells he gets on level-up and also Great Maelstrom (which is incredibly powerful). The most potent item choice (from Power Level 8 on, but it's aƶso great before PL8) is to use the Great Sword Effort, enchant it with "Hemorrhaging" and use it to attach Avenging Storm procs to all your spell crits. Here is an encouter where I cast only Tangelfood + Avenging Storm: And here I cast Avenging Storm + Great Maelstrom: If you want a detailed explanation why/how this works you can read it here: Another good option is to use Lord Darryn's Voulge as a "casting stick". It gives you nice power level bonuses to all storm spells.

  6. Yes, you can be kind of rude to him/trick him. The quest will be solved nonetheless and the quest item dagger turns into an equippable one. But you can also solve the quest normally (giving Gordy the dagger, quest successfully finished) and then kill Gordy afterwards (no reputation loss whatsoever) and loot the dagger - aka "Whoops, that was an accident! But now that the dagger lies there I might as well take it..." - this is the "murderhobo solution" that usually works. But you have to give the dagger to Gory first and then (without reloading or leaving the map) kill him right afterwards.

  7. Played The Forgotten City, neat little game. rather short - 5-6 hours or so. Creative game, playing with the time looping was fun. As a review I read said, it's not a great detective game as everything's pretty linear. Got all the endings, the involved one where you debate an alien and convince him his experiment is pointless is the obvious one they want you to take as that one gives you a nice happy epilogue.

  8. Whenever people start talking about "biological women" I feel bummed out because I'm expecting to see a non-biological woman, by which I mean a lady robot, and that's never the case. If only the AI people put in work for that instead of an aggregated plagiarism generator that does everything bad and wrong then maybe we could be dealing with robots instead of whatever has the brain wormed mad this week. Would be refreshing.

  9. Ok fine, it was on moderate sale. Certainly cute graphics. Controller feels clunky/awkward tho, especially within the menus. But ... very cute art style.

  10. Just started playing BG 3; I'm up to 5th level and heading into the Underdark. Playstyle-wise it's awfully similar to D:OS 1 & 2, with a D&D ruleset pasted on top. At least the characters have realistic-looking stats, unlike in D:OS. The amount of cut scene cinematics is impressive, and the facial/gesture animation work is top notch. But levelling up is definitely a slog, and too many battles are time-wasting do-overs. I had more fun with the Solasta tactical combat system; at least they felt winnable, up until they weren't. I definitely miss the Dodge action in BG 3.

  11. It is a technical term. In both senses: it is, for example, used as the basis of the IAAF transgender policy and biological sex is also a recognised scientific concept. Often the people using it pejoratively actually mean 'genetic sex' instead, but biological sex is a technical term. The problem comes about because there's a whole lot of non biological stuff associated with being a person which we don't apply to other creatures. Nobody cares if you describe an albino mouse as a 'mutant', a lot of people care if you describe a human albino as a mutant- but there's no scientific difference, and the term remains a real technical term. The difference is entirely that people see being called a 'mutant' as dehumanising when it's applied to a human. Which is fair enough, and if you wander around randomly calling albinos 'mutants' you're probably a bit of a knob outside of the scientific context. But it doesn't mean the term 'mutant' is not a technical term either.

  12. I'm a very manly man, does that count for anything? It has led to some funny situations and friendly jibes in my closest friend circle (which are mostly people in LGBT circles). From transgender over bisexual to my militant lesbian dentist friend (who already had a stockpile of face masks in 2020, because she had planned to fight the police in the streets, joining the fight against the then Morrison government). Said friends have regularly dragged me to places and events most people miss out on (their loss). Like queer gamer groups (the place where I truly learned to appreciate Cards against Humanity type games), theater plays where Juliette drops Romeo and runs away with her girlfriend, you name it. At some point, they wanted me to try a phone app that morphs you into either more feminine or more masculine features. The feminine appearance was sort of Okish (i'll never feature as a centerfold, that's for sure), but when trying the masculine morphs, they thought the app had broken (apparently my appearance could not be changed into something more masculine by the app, so it simply did nothing) Needless to say, I wouldn't swap those friends for anything in the world really. As for the subject of transgender sports and the fairness/unfairness of it?.... I've often thought about it and probably still am, without getting any closer to making my mind up what I could see as the best approach edit: they once teased me in the theatre, asking me if I didn't feel like the odd one out? Me, looking at the three girls just stated the obvious, because I'm the only guy here? To which the reply from the girls was I was the only straight person in the theatre
