  1. I hope not, I've got a bet running that we'll see fusion before Star Citizen.

  2. Hi, has anyone else experienced their POE save file being deleted entirely after the recent POE update? I know some people had a similar issue, but could see the save file in the directory and, supposedly, report it (I couldn't actually find an option to report/raise a ticket despite Obsidian's post on Steam). Am I right in thinking there isn't a fix to do and will just have to tolerate the blunder?

  3. Amazing write up! Thanks so much! I ended up on 15/10/16/16/18/15 on my stat spread and started with a dagger and shield. The bashing shield idea is definitely something I'll try out, thanks!

  5. I believe what was meant with "stronger than ever" is that russia will have (probably) learned from their mistakes and train different / with more modern hardware, thus naturally will be stronger than in the beginning of the Ukraine war where they failed in literally every category.

  6. About 20 hours into Drova and I have some negative things to say. Not having a minimap, highlights or fast movement makes this game an utter chore to play. I can relate to the idea of not guiding the player too much, but when every other quest is "talk to X, then to Y, then to Z", and I have no idea who and where this people are, it practically means I have to go through the whole town every time. The "not guiding" part only works if there's not a specific order you need to do things in. The lack of a minimap also comes into play in exploration, because the game uses elevation levels to block movement. Quite often I can see where I want to go, but I have to spend a while finding the right path there, because for no obvious reason you can just walk right up to it. Lack of fast movement comes into play because there's lots of occasion where you need to travel through places you've already been to, and hence where there's nothing interesting going on anymore. The game isn't that big though, so it's just barely below my annoyance threshold. Out of the 20 hours, I'd say about 5 is running through town searching for NPCs, running through already cleared maps, and pathfinding because everything needs to be a maze. The game does some neat things though, like the map, or the investigation mode, and the combat is pretty nicely designed, although I'm utterly hopeless at it.

  7. In a party I usually value single class wizards, priests and druids more than their multiclasses. Ciphers and chanters I prefer to multiclass. The main reason is that Cipher's and Chanter's PL 8 and 9 spells aren't very exciting to me. Speaking of Cipher and Chanter: Psion/Troubadour has nice synergy for a caster multiclass imo. Not that one side boosts the spells of the other - but in terms of resouce generation and action economy it's a great fit. Also you can combine two of the most impactful things in one character: summons and mind control. Also works with Beguiler if you concentrate on the cheaper AoE deception spells (mostly Phantom Foes and Secret Horrors). Since you spend resources (and not spell slots) with those two classes you don't have the same situation as with wizards/priests/druids: you'd need to wait for new resources to fill up anyway. Instead of waiting or doing something suboptimal like attacking with a weapon, you just cast with the resource of the second class. Some caster multiclasses (which focus on casting) where I see synergies that can be worth multiclassing: Psion/Troubadour (or Beckoner or Bellower) Tactician/Wizard, -/Priest or -/Druid because of Brilliant I still like Steel Garrote/Bloodmage with Whispers of the Endless Paths because Blood Sacrifice gets automatically fueled by Offensive Parry. The weapon is basically a tool for more casting, not for melee attacks. You trade PL 8 and 9 for more tankyness and an action-economy-friendly spell refill. Helwalker with any caster because of the increased MIG (+15), INT(+10) and PEN (+2) as well as accuracy (+12). The summons are also good to have. But imo best with Cipher or Chanter because losing PL 8 and 9 doesn't hurt as much. Assassin/Wizard with Arkemyr's Brilliant Departure as you said Berserker/Priest just because of confused Withdraw (it's an autohit on enemies, too) which is really useful and is accessible so early. Cat Livegiver/Bloodmage because Wall of Draining prolongs Spiritshift + Cat Flurry (and the +5PL powerful healings) - the combo makes casting superfast and lets you use Blood Sacrifice without risk Troubadour/Druid where you use Brisk Recitation with the "Thick Grew their Tongues" chant anf Their Champion invocation as well as all pulsing spells (especially the ones with multiple rolls such as Venombloom) in combination with the Great Sword Effort and its enchantment Hemorrhaging as well as Hylea's Talos in order to generate countless crits with your spells and chant which will all interrupt. A walking interrupt machine.

  8. I found the sollution. The lines appear to be correct, but for some reason they do not work if you wright the companion name yourself, you need to make it appear with the tab key. So copy the line: LevelUpSoulbind Companion Then use tab key untill the name of the concerned companion name appears (it should show the ones in the party). then add the item name you can copy it from the wiki on internet, for exemple: LAX02_Plate_Armor_Soulbound_Guardians_Plate The final line is indeed: LevelUpSoulbind Companion_Pallegina(clone) LAX02_Plate_Armor_Soulbound_Guardians_Plate But the "Pallegina(clone)" has to be chosen with tab and not entered by yourself. I don't explain that... Also you can copy the entire line this time, and paste it and directly use it for the next upgrades, no need for tab anymore this time it will work.

  9. Playing Drova as well. Fun so far. Never played Gothic so not sure how much it's similar to that, but the introduction gave me Ultima vibes. Difficulty is not scaling as far as I can tell, which can lead to dying a lot in an open world game. And weird situations. I was in a fight where I had a bunch of NPCs on my side, all who treated me as a big hero, despite me being the weakest of the bunch.

  10. The teaser to Drova - Forsaken Kin -- a heavily Gothic inspired pixel-art game. That is, Gothic, the game. Not Gothic, Robert Smith's hairdo. According to the devs, that teaser (still available on ich.io) is still from the early stages ("Proof of conept"). Plays quite nice though. Is missing some of the features though that got me intrigued from reviews, such as NPC schedules, people reacting to you walking into their houses at night, drawing weapons, theft, etc. And, of course, this: Our Inspirations Games like “Morrowind” or “Gothic” inspired us to make a game like this ourselves. We think there’s a lack of games that take players seriously and an overload of games that tell players what to do at all times. That's such a valuable promise that this winter only Warhorse seem to be aiming to fulfill with KCD II. Again.

  13. The most likely reason to deploy DPRK soldiers now, is neither manpower shortage, nor improving attack capabilities, as 12k soldiers will prolong the war by approx 10 days, with current RU casualties, but both RU and DPRK expect to get a response from US, which would give Trump new “ammo” to his campaign. The thing, that no one speaks about DPRK soldiers outside of UA and ROK, makes this argument more plausible. Everyone else is waiting for US elections.

  14. Tails of Iron I cannot tell whether the story is meant to be taken at the face value (a young monarch saving his land from very evil invaders) or not. The first death. The bard was barding. End-/post-game.
