The Blood Ward is incredibly powerful because it heals from all sources of damage, DoT ticks included. So if you are a Furyshaper with a big health pool, decent defenses and AR and also resistances (=no hard disables) you can dish out Bleeding Cuts with Battle Axes (or other DoTs like from Saru Sichr) to a lot of enemies and get a constant flow of healing while dealing damage at the same time. Mostly auto-attacks bc. of the limited resources - but if you are in a pinch you can use Dazing Shout which is cheap, has a very big AoE and will daze and shake enemies, deal good dmg and heal you up nicely. And it can put Blood Storm's DoT on enemies in the area, too (more healing). If you have trouble with the ward getting attacked: a scroll of withdraw does help a lot. It will conceal the ward completely but it will still work perfectly well for you. I did all fights with this guy except Megabosses. He just wasn't equipped for those. I did the Crystal Empress - but the rest was so annoying that I skipped them. I guess Dorudugan would be possible (I mean technically I'd just have to poke him with Lover's Embrace) but I didn't try. I used some cheesy tactics, like cancelling Leap in mid air (= no attack roll at the landing site but also no cost: great mobility trick). But I didn't use endless prolonging effects like with Cabalist's Gambeson and so on. The fun part was that one could combine damage dealing with survivability which sped things up. If one concentrates on tankyness usually the fights take forever. That was also the experience with solo Streetfighter/Unbroken. Usually I'd say Trickster would be the better pick. But you are constantly flanked anyway and the damage output of the Streetfighter was very good for a tanky build which made the run less tedious. But also no Megabosses there. In hindsight I should have done Streetfighter/Black Jacket though. It's a lot of micro but the ability to switch between shield setup and offensive setup in an instant is very good when you are solo. You can switch to shield once you see something big incoming, shrug it off and immediately switch back to blender mode. Discipline mostly used for Refreshing Defense and Unbending. Guile mostly for Escape, Smoke Veil and sometimes Gouging Strike.2 points

People who paid for physical items during the KS campaign are still waiting for their orders to be fulfilled. For months and months Owlcat kept issuing monthly promises that the items are "on the way" and that their "small size" was a big part of why they were having trouble getting those shipments done. Then, the monthly promises became perfunctory, literally the same message cut and pasted into a new monthly announcement. And now they have just simply stopped sending out messages altogether after many backers, including some superbackers, called them out and harshly criticized them. Instead of working on four new games, which itself is silly for a mid-level studio, they should drop one of those projects so they can provide basic, decent customer support for their KS backers.1 point

I completed EOB2 after about 35 hours I didnt think it was as good as EOB1 for 2 main reasons and these are also my main criticisms First and main issue is you have an incredibly bad design where you cant complete the game if you dont find a specific item and you not able to go back to find the item because a particular door is closed. For example on Silver Tower level 3 you need to find the Crystal Hammer for access to the Azure Tower level but I didnt even know I had to find the Crystal Hammer and I got to the end of the Silver Tower, defeated the beholders and then got teleported back to Temple but I couldn't go back to Silver Tower L3 because the door on L2 is now closed. I then had to use ASE ( built-in automap) teleport function to get through the Crystal Door but the Steam version of ASE doesn't include ASE teleport so I had to download and configure the normal ASE But you shouldnt have to use a " cheat " just because you missed out on 1 item, any game should allow you to go back and find that item at the very least EOB1 wasnt like that, it allowed to you travel back and retrace your steps and I didnt have to " cheat" once to complete the game But I did enjoy EOB2, I liked several of the dungeon designs and puzzles like the Medusa Maze and the final battle with Dran was fun....I literally used save scumming and spent the entire battle moving from square to square to avoid his spells and then his dragon form fire breath. It was hard but he died at the end EOB2 gets a 58/100 on the globally followed " BruceVC game rate system " Its a fun game but very difficult and sometimes unfairly difficult. I cant imagine anyone completing this game without consulting game guides and getting tips but I suppose its possible I am now playing EOB3, I might as well complete the series. Its okay so far, nothing to write home about1 point

This is probably a topic for a different thread, but can the US really afford it? Not just aid to Ukraine, but the spending in general. That debt ceiling (holding up an asteroid sized debt) may turn all card house on the country. We would have to revise history and call the end of the cold war a delayed draw.1 point

He was a writer. Nothing else is known so far. No nutjob for sure. More like absolute frustration. Smer has destroyed lives of many people. I was expecting to see something like this sooner or later, with the rhetorics of his political party, and with them ruining a lot of people in the past, especially in the construction sector. I am just absolutely surprised, that the guy decided to go so high in the “food chain”. He travelled aprox 80 kms to meet him. Oh and I forgot to mention in my first post, that the PM is alive for now, but in critical condition.1 point

This just in: For anybody hoping that Owlcat would slow down and reverse their "quantity over quality" stance -- well, bad luck. Owlcat may have released three epics (plus DLC) within barely half a decade. Each of those making any BG game look like a dinner snack. But clearly that was not enough. Seems like they aim for the Guinness World records next. company comprises about 500 individuals. they are currently developing 4 games with 4 separate teams. development of two of these games started just recently. games are being created using Unity and Unreal Engine. company's primary focus lies in creating RPGs with rich narratives and complex mechanics. one game being an original IP. next games likely will feature full VO and better cutscenes1 point

Looks like we start to have first partially good news from Kharkiv front. Russian milbloggers are starting to complain about badly trained units on this front, who lack even basic knowledge of proper formations to have a chance to avoid drone strikes. So it looks like, all the experienced and battle-hardened units are at different fronts, or already dead https://t.me/philologist_zov/9651 point

I can confirm. Tested and after destroying/restoring adra pillar, Terms Of Trade triggers and I can finish it and start "A matter of import". Thank you again1 point

i think if you resolve Storms of Poko Kohara, you can resolve Terms of Trae later w/out having explicitly gotten it yet since it's tied up with the resolution of the adra crystal.1 point

What I find especially interesting is that Quiet Riot's versions of both Noize and Mama Weer All Crazee Now are a lot better than the originals. It's not very often that that happens. It has to be said, though, that all the Led Zeppelin songs on their first album that are not originals (i.e. every single track except Good Times Bad Times, no matter what the album credits say) are better than the originals. But that's definitely a major exception.1 point

Hello! 1. Nintendo Switch OLED 2. Single player game 3. Hard level with custom settings, no water, no food, with aggressive bugs. 4. In random places when I used manually saving with empty slot, the game crashes in process of saving. Often it happens in buildings like Labs, especially in the lab under the tree in the first part of the game, but also can be in the outside. I rely on auto-savings, but there is delay 5 min that is not good for me. For example, last time I have got berries close to hedge and click on manual save (it was 6 slots total) and game crashes. 5. Notice that I use airplane mode when I'm playing to save my battery level as well. All online functions were disabled.1 point
