Fix for the High Contrast accessibility option not rendering correctly. 120fps enabled for Xbox Series X. Updated Icon (PS4/5, Switch). Updated Platinum Trophy name ("Historia Tassiae" PS4/5). Updated PS4/5 controller graphics.
  2. I saw a clip with this as uncredited background music, and it took me 20 minutes of mental grinding to remember the group and songname. I used to be really good at picking those things up withing the first few bars, but I guess I haven't really used the skill in ages.
  3. Not really news, but also not playing ... but see, I went to Steam site, saw "New and trending" listing, and did a time-travel feeling double-take. They are the originals (essentially same as GoG's dosboxed I think), no remake/remaster etc. It does makes me idly wonder if EA is considering a PC sequel or remaster for the series (that mobile game doesn't exit, don't even mention it 😛 ), with putting it on Steam as an interest meter check (GoG has had it for ages, I see no reason to rebuy it yet again). Frankly I'm not sure I'd want EA to do so, I'm sure it would be horrid. Nice of them to put it the two originals for those that really want to stick with Steam I guess, tho.
  4. I started playing Solasta and it's given me a proper and good UI/UX for D&D5e. BG3 was a tiresome mess in comparison. Having to rearrange all those icons for every character...
  5. A beef and mushroom ragu with a simple salad and sheet cake for desert. I'm satisfied.
  6. Finished my wife's birthday weekend by making beef Wellington with a bacon and mushroom pate and serving that with fondant potatoes and a simple salad.
  7. Well, I suppose people would want to attend a lecture in IMAX...
  8. I did a perilous trek south from Nivalis in extreme northeastern Morrowind south to Necrom. I was saving frequently along the way because there are some NASTY customers out in that part of the countryside, both in terms of bandits and beasts. The trip got me thinking about how this compares to the Morrowind in TESO, given that the Tamriel Rebuilt project got started before Oblivion released and long before TESO was a thing, so I looked up a map of the current TESO: Turns out the area I went through isn't even in TESO yet, it's the grey part north of Necrom, I cut a line south along the eastern half of that peninsula. That map actually goes a little bit further north, you can't zoom out far enough to show the entirety of what's in the game at once, even in openMW, but that's almost all of it. It's a little hard to see because they don't exactly use contrasting colors on this map, but there is the path I took south to Necrom, more or less along the eastern coast of the continent (I was always close to the shore but rarely on the actual shore itself), plus the parts of Vvardenfell and mainland Morrowind I explored previously. I'm currently in Akamora. I am consistently pleased with the content in the Tamriel Rebuilt mod. I was hoping this was simply more Morrowind and that's exactly what this is. I don't feel that this is a step down in quality compared to the vanilla Morrowind content. There are settlements, caverns, ruins, quest chains, encounters, etc. It's all been overall enjoyable and just feels like a natural extension of Morrowind. As you can see on the map, I have A LOT more to explore, plus there's more coming. There's no ETA AFAIK, but the next update to the mod promises to be the biggest ever and will be adding a big chunk of southern Morrowind. Eventually, I'll be able to go to Narsis.

  10. My google-fu is pretty weak, but I've seen refrences from before that, though I don't know how reliable that stuff is because I don't know how to verify the date that google tells me. Edit; I'm fairly certain I've seen it mentioned before, since I've got Astra Militarum in my pen and paper notes from ~2010. But I don't know if that is because we might have heard it in a novel or such.

I'm not a professional, but from what I've looked at, the flesh is very good, if I find any inaccuracies I'll let you know.
