It is not the first time they are doing this, but before that it was "just" DLC for the older AC games. I would strongly prefer the publishers to be legally encouraged to respect their customers purchases. If the publishers in their wisdom, made the DRM in a single-player game to rely on the servers, surely they can spend work-hours on untangling the dependency. The smaller developers are usually nice enough not to try doing this.
  3. Steam keys (from HumbleBundle): Axiom Verge Death's Gambit (already own on Steam; it was a rather enjoyable Souls-like Metroidvania) The Knight Witch

  5. There is no Light I suppose, the sexism is to indicate that they are safe to kill. I think, the setting is post-apocalyptic. The protagonist has a rather interesting manner of holding swords. It is nice that the story and the gameplay fit well together. The first boss. Aspire: Ina's Tale Islets The final island: Did the timed challenge. Sheepo (The screenshots cover the full game). Kidnapping the eggs of local population on the behalf of an intergalactic organisation. Most locals don't care, the relatives of the eggs, do, though. Late-game bosses and ending. Fallout 4 Far Harbor, ending: Xanadu Next
  6. Finished Islets. In general, very nice mechanically, the story is not exactly deep, but nice. Review: Then purchased and completed the developer's previous game, Sheepo. Not as good as Islets, but generally fine. Review: Tried VtM - Swansong. It did not run on the main PC, judging by the error message, the issue is with the OS. On Steam Deck, the poorly-made saving system is significantly harder to mitigate, so probably will play on the spare PC some time later. Tried Xanadu Next. Refunded - between the screen flickering (resolved by running in the window mode), crashes (resolved by deleting the intro movie), the mouse-only movement (not resolved, and the boring combat (not resolved), it did not seem to be worth the time. Finished Fallout 4: Far Harbor. It was generally fine. The body-hiding part of the assassination was a bit ridiculous - with some luck, I could have disintegrated the body during combat. Tried Brain Marmalade, a platformer. Got stuck in 5 minutes. The controls are not rebindable, the resolution cannot be adjusted in-game. The art is fine, stylised like pen sketches. Started Aspire: Ina's Tale. After Islets and Sheepo, mind-numbingly boring. Looks lovely, but so, so shallow. The story follows a priestess who is trying to escape a sci-fi-esque tower. There are some light environmental puzzles, but they are not exactly challenging or engaging. Continued There is no Light. The protagonist is blissfully silent. Got repeatedly punched in the opening cut-scenes and I still don't quite get the logic, but the visual design is nice and controls are very comfortable and rebindable.
  7. I'm sure that there is no other active ability involved, like the rapier modal for example (I love how detailed is the combat log by the way), and I've make different test with various small shield (with Xoti alone). I've no idea why it doesn't work but I probably missed something. Not a big deal, it's not exactly game breaking ! Thanks for your answer and your great mod.
  8. After played both PoE and Deadfire for many years and come back to review two games, I also prefer PoE's class feature + generic talent pool system than Deadfire's no generic talent pool. With it all classes feels more flexible and can cover more roles. You can build a tank Rogue, a dps Paladin in PoE. In Deadfire this is more restricted because developers moved only a few generic talents to each classes and you have to choose among these. Otherwise you have to multiclass to get access to more talents.
  9. Lots of reports of fighting along the Ukrainian/ Russian border in Kharkov and Sumy oblasts. Actual progress or lack thereof is rumours* but the fighting is genuine without seeming particularly significant, yet. Always likely to be the problem with the Ukrainian raids, if Russia stations troops there Ukraine has to as well so there's very little benefit, and it gives Russia the ability to launch raids as well plus obfuscate any larger scale operations. *varying from the al Sahhaf-esque 'not a metre has been lost' to the entire RDK running away leaving a massive gap in Ukrainian lines.
  10. We are aware of the Location Obstructed building bug in Grounded. The team is currently working on a solution for this issue and we'll update players as soon as we have more information to share. Please note that the issue seems to occur with bases built around or on large objects such as the oak tree, wood pile, picnic table or other large in-game landmarks. If you run into any other issues during your time with Grounded please feel free to submit a support ticket. Obsidian Support Thanks
  11. I am getting the same issue. Items that can be freely placed rather than snapped are often getting this bug.

  13. BPM changes to Binding block are limited to value tweaking. So it's not that. And suppressing the file so it is a second reason for not being related to this particular file. Another BPM change could cause this effect. But please be aware that Binding block is an active ability (modal stacks as active) so maybe it got suppressed by something else. Maybe another active ability buffing accuracy that was tweaked by BPM could suppress it ? Even in this case, it won't be technically a bug.
  14. ¡No puedo cambiar nada de lugar o colocar cosas en mi base! Cualquier cosa nueva que quiera poner o cosa antigua que quiera mover de lugar me dice que el lugar está obstruido aunque está vacío, ayuda como puedo arreglar eso?
  15. I've had issues as well, I can place walls and such in a new place but not able to add things to my existing base. I can even destroy a wall but it won't let me build the same thing in it's place. I have a large "paved" space outside my house using pebble foundations with no lights or chests nearby and can't build a wall on it (of any variation).
  16. I also used to have many of the old tabletop boardgame wargames and strategy games back in the '80s and '90s, but now have just four left: Gulf Strike; NATO: The Next War in Europe; Civilization (the old AH boardgame); and, Axis & Allies. Apparently, "Gulf Strike" is the game SGS is going to be making as a video game next, after they're done with updates for "NATO's Nightmare", which is their most recent release. Used to play these games with a hardcore group of wargamers I was friends with in college. We also did a lot of TT miniatures wargaming. I used to have the rulebooks and a TON of miniatures for the Challenger 2000 system for modern land warfare. I had entire armored/mechanized/motor rifle battalions for Cold War US and Soviet armies. Nowadays I don't get to play TT anything anymore as I don't have anyone nearby with those interests. For video games I only have "The Operational Art of War IV," but unfortunately its developer, Matrix Games, has not been good at all in providing any updates or new scenarios since its initial release, leaving it up to modders to do that work. The problem for me with most existing "TOAW 4" scenarios, as with many other video game wargames, is that some 90% are WW2, and especially Eastern Front games. And the scope of those games, where you're running literally thousands of units, just feel way too overwhelming for me. I like my wargames at the operational level (so, regiments/brigades and higher), but with only a small number of units per side. But apparently, that's exactly the opposite of what most other gamers like to play, it would seem.
  17. Replaying Allen Wake on the Xbox. This thing is still fun.
  18. I've had multiple occasions where I am trying to build on grass floors with large areas and getting location obstructed. I am in a Multiplayer world but was hosting, tried quitting and coming back in multiple times but ended up having to completely move the grass to a slightly different area and then it worked. This has happened in a few different areas in a few different scenarios for me so I'm guessing it's something wrong with the mechanics?
  19. Hello Elric, I want to report a bug with the small shield ability " Binding block" who doesn't seem to work with your mod (only the 25% of time recover with weapons is applied, no bonus !). When I desactivate the balance polishing mod buff it works fine with the +15 accuracy bonus granted by a missed ennemy melee attack. I try to suppress the file related to this ability in the gamedata but it doesn't change anything. Thanks !
  20. @Gorth, the game "Flat Top" was specifically mentioned by the SGS guy in a Steam froum post as a game he'd love to work on in the future. But he also mentions that the game "Carrier Battles", which is currently available on Steam, is a very close replication of Flat Top. I'll post on the board games I still have later today when I get back home. Am posting this from work.
  21. When the IDF piles up dead civilians, at least they have the out of saying they had to use inaccurate weapons because the US was mean.
  22. I used to have more board games, but as mentioned before, moving often and long distances makes it hard to build up a circle of like minded friends. I used to do the old Play by Mail too with "War in Russia". We had a floppy with the game. We would take turns, save the game, mailing the floppy to the opponent once a week. Spent a lot of stamps and envelopes on that (a game turn in the game was one week, so we never finished it, stopping before 6 years had passed) We did take quite a few turns when we visited each other though, skipping the mailing part and just hot seating it... Gary Grigsby, Sid Meier, those were "the good old days"
  23. The gold cards are no longer required for 100% completion. Gold Cards are now only for additional Collection Bragging Rights.
  24. HBO/Max - Tokyo Vice: white guy wants to be a news (print) reporter in 90's Japan. Gets involved in seedy underworld plots and stuff. I love Ken Watanabe, I'll try it. Episode 1: Ken is on-screen for about 10 seconds. The rest is largely setup/chr. building for the youthful main character. I found it well shot/done but kinda slow/boring. Main chr. initially not super likable/a tad annoying but earnest. It's just that most of the supporting/side chrs. come off as more interesting. >.> Episode 2: Ken is on-screen a little longer but not by much. >.> Still kinda boring, but the Yakuza turf war stuff may get more interesting. I don't mean in action way, it's not that kind of series. I think. I think Ken is supposed to become more important in the series/with the main chr, so going to watch more and hopefully Eps. 3 will be the one.
