This is exactly my professional take as well. Putin knows how the military side of NATO will react. No need for him to test that. It is the political side of NATO that is suspect, and it totally makes sense Putin will want to (and will continue to) test the political will and unity of NATO. And Article 4 provocations are the best way to do so as well, because obviously an Article 5 provocation could very well backfire on him.

Sadly I wasn't home in Brisbane to experience the Riverfire 2025 festival. I hope I'll be there for the 2026 festival though! The airshow is only part of it, the fireworks at night is probably only outdone by the Sydney Harbour New Years fireworks edit: I've seen clips from previous years posted elsewhere and so many self proclaimed know it all are adamant it's fake and AI and nowhere in the world would something like this be allowed. Having been there and experienced it myself many times now, I'm like: Welcome to the real world, when reality literally overwhelms the mental capacity of some edit: a few short clips from above mentioned fireworks

Ok, I love the buggies and they have a lot of function but hear me out, rail cars. It would be great to have a craftable rail car and tracks to transport resources and travel across the map between bases. I already have a system where I will build an elevated grass "Sidewalk" to travel between hot spots or bases. The addition of a speedy little cart that could carry more would make it a lot easier to make the runs. Obviously it would require hunting down the required "special" resources to build but I think it would be endlessly beneficial and ultimately take base building and exploration to the next level. Just a thought, let me know what you think.

The All Things Political Topic - What's Going On...?

I didn't watch it. But I have watched lots of other videos of his debates and seen how he does things most of the time Here is one student telling about her debate with Kirk Point of the debate is to bring up the merits of the point of the view that you are debating for, but if you always pivot to another question or topic when you are challenged then that isn't mark of good debater, but it maybe indication that you can think fast, which may allow you to win over the audience even though you weren't able to actually defend you point Lets say that in doctorial candidate defends their dissertation, when questioned their facts that by questioning questioner about facts of different topic. Would you say they are defending well their dissertation and their research or are they just hoping to distract questioner so that they don't see that they can't defend their research? Also I would point out that people can easily have fun in debates even if everyone involved is absolute garbage in debating, because having fun doing something does not mean that you are good at it. I have fun playing football, but at best I am bit worse than you 7th division player. -

Did you watch the video I posted earlier? You might personally think he was a bad debater but thats clearly not what the young people who use to debate him thought The young lady in the video says after about 8 minutes " Im having so much fun in this debate " I would assume the people who spent time debating Kirk who be the best ones to judge if he was a good debater? -

Yes, it seems like a professional hit. Probably ex-military and he got away cleanly But Kirk had a certain way he engaged, he would debate in the open and outside at Universities in many cases So automatic doors wouldnt have helped in this case -

Ive read the shot came from ~200 yards away. Dang! Thats a good shot. Anywho, I said it before and Ill say it again...automatic blast doors. They need to be installed every hallway and will automatically slam shut upon the first audible gunshot. Then they need to flood the chamber with gas to knock out the perp and resolve the situation. -

Kirk was awulf debater that always pivots to new point when his opponent ask difficult question. It is bad faith debating meant only to market their own points. Sadly that seems to be the style of debating that people like to watch instead of actually trying to find actual merit in the topics. World did not lose anything with him, and he himself agrees with that and to honor his views we should not waste any empathy to him or anyone to close to him, it is what he would want. -

Kirk was a poor debater who constantly pivoted to new points whenever faced with difficult questions. His style was rooted in bad faith, serving only to market his own views rather than engage with the actual substance of the discussion. Unfortunately, this kind of shallow performance is exactly what many people seem to enjoy, rather than seeking genuine merit in the topics themselves. The world lost nothing with his passing. By his own words and attitude, he would not want empathy wasted on him or those close to him—and honoring that wish is the most fitting response. -

He fundamentally believed in the grift and the money that accompanied it. I'm just suggesting that we should treat his death by the same standards he treated others. He also didn't believe in empathy, so the people who are now sad about his death are just betraying the values Kirk stood for. -

Sure but thats the point Im trying to explain He didnt " own the Libs ", thats just the silly reference that people use on SM and thats part of the problem with the nature of this type of debate. People want to align with one side or another and not listen to what the other person is saying or how they make there points If you want to see how he interacted with young people and why they enjoyed engaging with him watch the video, the young women is a liberal and believes in women's rights\feminism in a very normal way and she asks excellent questions and makes good points and clearly is well informed Its only 15 minutes but it will give you a better understanding of Charlie Kirk and why he was popular amongst young people on both sides of the aisle -
Well, of course my skill likely has improved. All the platforming and jumping off of objects helped greatly. But it 100% is also related to boss design. For example, I'm faring *a lot* better with anything that does not have random elements in it. That means, apparent random movement changes (Moorwing hovering lower from one moment to the next, without telegraphing it), or spawning extra mobs which also move randomly. There is more luck involved than skill. Sister Splinter for example felt really easy to me - her movements were super predictable. Yet I still had to repeat it a few times, just because those stupid mobs (that also deal 2 dmg each), felt completely random. The widow took me a bit, but only because phase 2 was so extremely fast and the screen was cluttered with objects which distracted me a lot. Worth to mention: Cogwork dancers was a great boss fight. 100% systemic, even at high speed. Reminded me a lot of the Mantis Lords from HK, which I also liked a lot. tl;dr - the one thing that I struggled the most with was the random in early game. Mid-game so far doesn't have a lot of bosses with random crap, at least as far as I have experienced so far.

I don't want to dismiss all of it as bad stuff of course, but I still refuse to watch it, because I just don't want to give them clicks for their "owning the libs"-type content. This is purely based on my experience with this type of content from a few years back. Maybe it was just lots of bad examples, or just the garbage that went viral. /Edit: Funny thing said by Charlie Kirk:
