The issue appears to be resolved on my 7800X3D/5090 rig. I can't be sure if it's the latest NV GR 581.42 or it was the 0.2 Update. Either way, was able to play two quick sessions yesterday and today without experiencing any GPU Crash dump errors.

My brain went to the Minority Report "surgically change your eyeballs" stuff, but same difference. Tech grew faster than I expected for my single lifetime, but at least I'm still pretty sure I'll be dead before walking down a street/in a park = Minority Report levels of digital/commercial recognition bombardment. Right? Right.

Portland, those Hegseth/Trump speeches, the US gov. shutdown, Trump being a mentally doddering bully wanna-be despot (seriously, his Twitter posts are childish bully rants). Hey America, are we great again, yet? -

*reads about some Xbox price hike, both physical goods and now GamePass, stuff* Even considering tariff's re: hardware, I wonder if Xbox/MS has decided if you can't afford them, you won't make them any money anyway. I don't think it's only the price of the Gamepass hike alone - companies really need to realize there is such a thing as subscription/constant fees exhaustion. I mean, from fridges/dishwashers to cars to game/entertainment services. Enough already. Just gimmie a product, not a "service", already. -

Yeah, it was cute, just like the dog. I think one issue for me is that Gunn gave a certain flavor to Guardians of the G that worked, but some of his humor style didn't mesh well with this Superman, imo. I mean, Superman II back when definitely had a lot of silly humor bits too - I love that film but it was mostly because of Terrance Stamp, it had a lot of flaws - but I dunno. Outside of animals and occasional humor re: Supes, it felt a little try-hard. And yes I agree re: too many chrs, in single films. The "universes." It starts to feel like every movie is just an ad for the next movie. Probably a reason my fave Marvel is still Iron Man. >.> I saw that on YT yesterday. I admit I laughed. I actually thought the first film was passable disaster entertainment. Nothing to write home about but the flavor of late 90's/early 2000's disaster films maybe. But it definitely didn't merit a sequel. -
The slot for the LAN card is forcing my GPU's PCIe slot to be x8, so now my GPU backplate is an additional cooler for my LAN as I had to move it one slot down which means there is a millimeter of space between the LAN card heatsink and the GPU backplate... I need to get another cooler for my CPU and free up the first PCIe slot... edit: no improvements in fps from it though, Control on 1440p Ultra with RT (ultra) is giving me around 60fps on x8 and x16. I have PCIe 3.0.

So since the patch update the following bugs have occurred regularly. Sadly they were all random so screenshots were not available nor do I record every game session . First- Buggys disappear after being knocked out, not sent to nest, not back to any particular location, they disappear completely from being able to be called, not in roster nothing, they die off completely. Second- Buggys dont fight, they act as if they are paralyzed while enemies destroy either my base or attack me, the red soldier ant is worse of the two though as it just sits and makes strange noises. Super Jumping Wolf spider. On more than one occasion while building my base I will see a shadow suddenly appear and while looking around will see a super aggro wolf spider jump toward my location from what I assume is over 100m away and kill me in either one or two shots with maxed snail armor. Disappearing items- I have lost trinkets on more than one occasion. I ended collecting the mintodent (pardon the typo) twice from t2 mints and both times after logging out and logging in later those trinkets disappeared. those werent the only items, I had to remake a few weapons and armor pieces because they too disappeared after logging out. Durability. Unsure if anyone else is having the same issue but no matter what I fight I have to repair all items at least every other day in game, the durability seems to have been greatly reduced. Damage- again not sure if I missed it but I noticed both the character and buggy take a lot more damage, my soldier ant used to be able to take on a larva solo and not worry, now it actually gets knocked out a lot more often. Spider buggy- MY buggy for some reason if it does decide to fight shoots its web at me and I will get stuck during a battle and killed most times. it will also randomly start roaming the map ( at one point it was over 200 m away from my location and was knocked out). regrowth and damage to base- I know a fix for grass growing through base was supposed to be fixed and it has not. If nothing there is more growing through my base even with me having cut the grass and its stem it growing much faster and in one of my two bases MORE is growing and regrows a lot faster. Secondly for some reason both bases structures take a lot of damage without being raided and its to the point I spend more time repairing than I am building. Chests and inventory. My second base has chests centrally located so I can build or craft without having to move around too much but for some strange reason when I try to do so I am shown I do not have the resources but I do and in a few cases the chests are literally next to a crafting station ( work station , cooker etc). Infinite spawn bug. Near the head of burgle is a known spawn location for a Norther Scorpion ( not jr). However, when one is defeated 1-2 will immediately respawn and attack. In one instance they spawned while still in battle. Smoothies. I didnt see this in the notes but I noticed the buff timer of smoothies was reduced. I used the antivenom smoothie for the scorpion and it lasted only 15 seconds. Hunger and Thirst. this is stupid. even with cooked meals from the cooker I noticed my character gets hungry much much faster and at times has become hard to keep up even with the orb staff and trinket. Same with thirst- today was a perfect example, in only half a day in game I had to drink water 4 times. With two dew collectors and a holder it lasted me barely more than a day in game. NOW for fixes- I am very familiar with game fixes, solutions resolutions game files etc I have done a confirm game files restarted updated and so forth and none of these has fixed the issue.

I can't help but laugh every time I see or hear the term "warfighter". Language is completely arbitrary, I know, but somehow that one in particular seems too absurd for me. -

It's OUT. And it's not 100% what you think it is (another typical Boomer Shooter / Blood clone). What sold chapter 1 to me back then was the end of the demo, where suddenly the music stopped, you were crawling through a tight space with but your lighter showing the way. And the thing opened up into a genuine survival horror-ish setpiece... Apparently chapter 2 goes even more into that direction. -

You mean for the Monk class or in general? Depends on what you want, where the "power" should go and on which difficulty you play and also on the party composition. All in all the Priest is the most impactful class in the game because it has the most influence on your party's performance. The exact build doesn't matter much, it's the (buffing) spells which make the Priest so good, but until you get Spell Mastery those spells are all per rest. But Priests also have Inspiring Radiance (+10 accuracy to the party, stacks with everything) and (Painful) Interdiction per encounter which are both very useful. And they can get to a Fighter's accuracy level with a weapon of their god (for example Priest of Berath: Great Sword or Mace) - which can make them decent weapon users, too. Many players don't like to main a Priest though because it's "only" doing support and that's no fun to them (although it's very powerful). So if you are looking for a build with more "self-contained" power, all things considered I would probably recommend a Spiritshifting Druid (Cat or Boar form). It is highly versatile (can do single target and AoE dmg and CC, healing and support), doesn't rely on per rest abilities in normal encounters because it has tremendous melee dps output while shifted - but if needed can cast powerful spells, too. Once you get your Spell Mastery picks (each time you pick a per-rest spell that turns into 1/encounter) you will only need your per-rest spells in long, tough fights after which you will need to rest anyways (because of the loss of health). Imo this is the build that usually feels the most powerful because it drops foes so quickly in melee without any per-rest resources - while it then can also do very good spells suchs as Relentless Storm which can decide fights by themselves.

Not really sure where to put this, but the BBC have recreated a lost radio programme by Nigel Kneale (The Quatermass Experiment, The Stone Tape) from his copy of the script the original used.

I hope this is not seen as just a compliant, but as a rational feedback from a member of the Grounded fan community. If I start with the short story of the experience with Grounded 2, I'll say I'm glad to know there are so many other games to look forward to while I wait on this trickle of disappointment so far and am not to optimistic of the long wait for full complete launch of Grounded 2. What happened? Did you guys forget how to make this game or did some of you lose your passion or imagination for it? the reason I ask this, are as follows. So much hype was put out there to influence the expectation that the sequel will be better or at least live up to the first Grounded that I fell that's what you guys are riding on instead of developing up to that. It is a fact that early access to the first Grounded had way more than what we now have for Grounded 2. The first update to early access of the first Grounded gave more as well. With the Hairy and Scary update as well as the limitations and the missed growth from the great potential it is nowhere even close to building onto, from, or surpassing Grounded. I thought you people were "bringing it" since the success of grounded that you not only were going to expand on it but also open up to the community to expand on the Grounded universe even more. At first glance the Hairy Scary update is more bug fixes than it is content. For example Facing Axl is pretty much redundant it's like you trying to get people to just choose to skip it. There's nothing more than the new oversized bow and arrows for defeating him the rest of the stuff you can build or create with his drops is so blah silly and pointless. Leaving me ask why even spend the long amount of time to engage with this giant? There's no tying him into the park other than his knocked over tank, there's nothing tying him into the story there's nothing really beneficial to him at all to waste resources or time on him. This was not the case in Grounded, there we got to see more of the yard, 2 new bug bosses and way more content that said more than "See that areas over there you passed like a million times over there? Yeah!?, Well now there's a big axx spider over there now if you wanna go check it out. Whats that? what do you get? Pfft nothing much besides just a big bug to fight for a lengthy amount of time." It's like you call them drops because they are nowhere near what can be considered rewards. There not even any achievements for beating him. So plain and empty that is. Looking at what we can see so far there no build to better than Grounded even in the roadmap it falls short. All I can see that we're going to have in the end is the same old Grounded just in a park now i see a couple of new materials but even after discovering them their uses are so limited and "ugggh, really, that's it!?" Where's this "BETTER" and "IMPROVED" you hyped up? Take the buggies for example. Great addition so much potential and the idea that the different buggies will take you to new areas with their unique qualities fantastic but where do we get to take that? chomp some roots and go a few feet for some raw science? Or the orb weaver, web crawl up the side of the snack shack to the top of this A/C unit for a snail, another orb-weaver and 2 gum nodes really I grinded to get to this orb-weaver buggy to just get this? Wheres the discovery and adventure of the JR Indiana Jones' you turned us into in Grounded? Where's the Achievement/Reward we got in Grounded? So let me get this straight right, You guys teamed up with another great studio and have been working on this for three years and this is all you guys got? Really!? C'mon man wheres the game you want to make and we want to play? Really, I'm not bashing you, I love the work you did and do. I love Grounded but right now I'm just like are these body snatchers or impostors? wait their joking right there's gonna be more they said there was gonna be more. I do not expect an answer in words I am a Fan I'm waiting to be blown away like you did the first time so that means you and I both know its more than possible. Like seriously they brought me into Honey I shrunk the kids but said No this ain't that honey I shrunk the kids this is your honey I shrunk the kids on milk molers fully yolked. Thank you for your understanding and consideration. I hope you see in here many way that can help improve and build on for all of us even you to have the Grounded 2 we wanted.
