6 months after DA: I release I know, but I still believe Witcher 3 pretty much killed any longevity that game had. Personally, I find those games very similar in just about every aspect, except for W3 actually being ... Well, good.

I just grabbed all the DLC on sale a few weeks back and am on my second playthrough of DAI. I quite enjoyed it. It did feel like two different games though. The MMO-ish grinding and world exploration, then the Bioware style cinematic RPG stuff. They didn't blend it very well, but its an enjoyable game... if you have a gamepad.

I feel that if Bioware had done something closer to the ME2 style for Inquisition instead of the MMO quests and open areas it would've been better, or if they actually decided if their combat was supposed to be action or tactical.

It still wouldn't have been a masterpiece, mind you, but something relatively fun if you have free time (in other words, the RPG equivalent of a Marvel movie). The way it ended up the ok parts were diluted in elements that seemed to exist just to fill a checklist, just like so many quests that were nothing but checklists.

Not a lot of new stuff here (I guess the dev working in a unicorn mask is pretty funny) but so it goes.

Heh. Looks pretty okay. Pretty cringeworthy to hear everyone wanking themselves to how "unique" it all is. I guess lying is part of marketing though.

Will check it out once they've addressed the 50 crashes and 3000 spell bugs.

I hate Unity.

Sure is.

Also the hell is up with the soundtrack? is there really only one track for combat? I'm tired of it and I haven't even played Tyranny yet. Seriously hope it's not another Pillars where I'm gonna spend 80 hours hearing the same track on a loop every time I engage in combat.

I'm currently watching the stream and during the spell making bit I kept thinking: "It would be cool if there was no-friendly-fire accent." I know there is no friendly fire in the game, but it just seemed like a perfect place to where to put it.

I wish there was an option to have no combat music. I don't hate it, but I can see myself getting sick of it after 5 hours.

Pretty sure there is a music slider. There's one in PoE.

I hate Unity.

'Fore God Allmighty I hope they have a seperate control for party member taunts, the Roostergirl is trying far too hard, exceptionally irritating.

Quite an experience to live in misery isn't it? That's what it is to be married with children.

I've seen things you people can't even imagine. Pearly Kings glittering on the Elephant and Castle, Morris Men dancing 'til the last light of midsummer. I watched Druid fires burning in the ruins of Stonehenge, and Yorkshiremen gurning for prizes. All these things will be lost in time, like alopecia on a skinhead. Time for tiffin.

Quite a lot happens when paint dries. The color may darken slightly, the sheen is reduced, and a membrane forms over the surface.

I'm liking Verse's attitude, saying things I say to monsters in my head anyway.

So far the development/lore of this game gives me a better impression than what PoE left me with. This video is encouraging in that it seems they are making an earnest attempt at a magic system that isn't totally awful. This looks far more promising than I expected.
