meh just because it was in 'modern cities" it is not making it any more modern, it's just vampires and to be frank the only vampire i like is the old count dracula a rare powerful being having own domain, but not without flaws. Not some vampire families and gangs made for teenagers.

If it's not WoD related, it's strange, because most of the answers of the test remind me vampiric clan's stereotype (For Toreador, Nosferatu, Ventrue, Brujeh, Gangrel...) from VtM...

So, if it's not any related to WoD, it's a very bad teasing.

VtMB was modern. For that matter the latter parts of VtMR were as well. I suspect most people wanting a WoD game are specifically thinking Bloodlines 2, so also a modern setting. They had fantastical elements but were still modern setting.

To be honest, much as I love AP it was not realistic modern either, and I doubt there could be a proper RPG that was ever realistic modern. You had a power that literally made you invisible, for example.

Yeo, and both AP and Bloodlines are two of the best games released over the past decade. It's as if fresh settings inspire fresh gameplay ideas and vice versa of typical settings reproducing rehashed gameplay. Funny that you have to go so far as to reach for South Park to find an RPG closer to a modern setting than about anything else since AP. SP was good too.

It could just end up being the game that's already been sort of announced, the "Stormlands" game (Project North Carolina) that Microsoft walked away from which Obsidian confirmed last November had been picked up by a different publisher in a "re-purposed" form.

We also know Obsidian has at least two other projects in the works - Project Vermont, an RPG that they've been working on for a while, and Project Louisiana which they began more recently.

Vermont - Possibly a large, open-world, third-person RPG using material developed for the cancelled Stormlands project but now using an existing licensed property. It is confirmed as NOT being Alpha Protocol, so most likely other possibilities are either Star Wars or Pathfinder.

Most probably this. Feargus said they'll announce this in a few months in gi show back in november. Finally they are going to.

I hope it is not another medieval high fantasy...

Tho I am doubtful it being a large open world tps rpg. They said it is changed from its original state and I find it hard to believe Paradox to fund such a project unless its quality level is equal to Risen games. But we'll see...

Since there's already been a Knight Rider game it would have to be a remake or sequel. Like Knight Rider 2008, yes indeed. Or perhaps the latest Crusader Kings 2 dlc.

Both are wrong anyway. Obviously the AP name is trademarked by Sega so that cannot be used but consider: a Knight is a decidedly Alpha individual, and a Rider can be a Protocol attached to a legal document.

Oh good lord!

Well the cat is out of the bag!

We had this cool system where you can level up your car with new software and find new parts similar to Borderlands and guns. Everyone's car looked different. The Hoff started at level 100 of course.

In case it is not obvious and I get quoted somewhere and fired, I'm kidding.  :p

Still a CarPG would be a very cool thing if done right....

You say it like turning invisible isn't realistic.  I have the ability to turn invisible anytime I'm around beautiful women.  I'll be standing right in front of them and it's like they can't even see me!

In the paradox forum there is a new thread about the announcement called Project Knight Rider. Here is the thread: https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/index.php?threads/what-is-this-project-knight-rider.913566/

From what I got reading the press release about the announcement, there is the new Obsidian game they plan to announce, but separately they also mention Paradox demoing several new games for the press including a secret Paradox game. So my interpretation is that TWO new games will be revealed tomorrow, with the second one being an almost-finished Paradox game that does not involve Obsidian.

Seems like "Evil" really is a theme in the game and the Paradox quiz wasn't just random.

Also, I think this is somewhat notable: https://twitter.com/Obsidian/status/709423012693540864

The Obsidian twitter somewhat confirmed this game isn't related to Pathfinder as some of us suspected.

Is that correct? Chrises? I don't think I've ever pluralized Chris before
