Timeslip Posted November 11, 2021 Posted November 11, 2021 Prometheus Wept is still slugging it out on Kickstarter. 78% funded, with 8 days to go. Looks like it's going to be down to the line I've also made a couple of dev playthroughs of the demo, one showing a simultaneous battle between cyberspace and the physical world. Here you encounter a strange entity in an abandoned underground bunker, and must inject your consciousness into the bunker's network to open the blast door. While you're inside, your ally, a sociopath con man with the ability to manipulate people's mind must defend you from a group of marauders. The other playthrough shows the first combat area in the game, where you are dispatched to restore order in a dilapidated fishing village, who residents have become violently insane. If anyone has any questions or feedback about the game, let me know! 3
Hawke64 Posted December 21, 2023 Posted December 21, 2023 https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/earthraiser/earthraiser-total-liberation An adventure (?) game about animal rights. Seems interesting enough. It has been funded and 45 hours to go. 1
LadyCrimson Posted December 21, 2023 Posted December 21, 2023 Quote 2 years later... Looks ok for what it is - I lol'd at Bob the Beaver. That was cute. “Things are as they are. daveyd Posted March 26 Posted March 26 (edited) https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/atomrpg/swordhaven-iron-conspiracy KS just launched for the new cRPG from the team behind Atom RPG. It features both turn-based and RTwP combat modes and there's a demo available on the Steam page. Edited March 26 by daveyd 2
melkathi Posted April 16 Posted April 16 A direct sequel to The Ur-Quan Masters? https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/pistolshrimp/free-stars-children-of-infinity Unobtrusively informing you about my new ebook (which you should feel free to read and shower with praise).

It is funded, and now working towards stretvh goals. I backed it at 50 euro purely because they were considerate enough to include an integral RTwP option. 2
daveyd Posted October 1 Posted October 1 (edited) Pathfinder: The Dragon's Demand (60% funded with 23 days left): "Pathfinder: The Dragon’s Demand is a single-player, turn-based CRPG that takes role-playing back to its roots with miniature-based characters and digital dice to recreate the look and feel of a tabletop RPG. But it opens up a whole new dimension by allowing miniatures to climb walls and trees, fly through the sky, and swim to underwater depths using an innovative three-dimensional grid system that delivers true 3D tactical combat. Developed by Baldur’s Gate and Neverwinter Nights veterans, Pathfinder: The Dragon’s Demand features a comprehensive implementation of the remastered Pathfinder Second Edition rules in a classic CRPG format. Players can create character builds from 7 ancestries, 16 classes, and more than 30 backgrounds, customizable with hundreds of different armors and weapons. They will also encounter a cast of colorful companions who will be on hand to join their party in exploring a wide, interactive world filled with hundreds of unique characters and dozens of rich quests. Based on the Pathfinder module The Dragon’s Demand by fan-favorite adventure designer Mike Shel, this expanded adaptation provides over 30 hours of immersive gameplay, where the world of Golarion is brought to life by cutting edge audio and visual effects, a beautiful musical score, and professional voice acting. Our goal in bringing all of these aspects together is to recreate those feelings of excitement and discovery that make the best tabletop campaigns so memorable." Developer is Ossian studios which members of this forum are probably familiar with as they made NWN2: Mysteries of Westgate and several NWN 1 premium modules as well. Edited October 1 by daveyd 2
ShadySands Posted October 11 Posted October 11 I'm on the fence about the Pathfinder game and the Pirate game from the BattleTech/Shadowrun guy. I'll probably end up backing both and then never playing either, as is my way. Free games updated 3/4/21

I'm significantly less wary of deck-building games after playing Marvel Midnight Suns. They were all a hard no until that one, and now I'm just lukewarm on them. If all of the other pieces look good, it might be worth a try.
ShadySands Posted October 12 Posted October 12 (edited) I skipped Midnight Suns because of the deck building but I may give it a shot eventually. I have it from some Humble bundles but haven't bothered redeeming it yet. The problem for me is that I have so many games that are pretty close to exactly what I want that I don't really feel the need to really experiment with new things or things I'm on the fence about. I have more games than I have time to play them. Edited October 12 by ShadySands Free games updated 3/4/21

Yeah, it's not even followed by the companion buzzword "roguelike". It's not an automatic will-not-play, but it is an automatic will-not-back-on-Kickstarter I guess. Hell, even "deck-building roguelike" is not an automatic will-not-play, it's just that "Slay the Spire but..." is not at all a useful designation for me until I do get around to trying Slay the Spire. As for Midnight Suns, that is a do-not-play for me, but that's because I do not play superhero games, and that's non-negotiable. 1 L I E S T R O N GL I V E W R O N G
ShadySands Posted October 15 Posted October 15 I ended up backing both but at the lowest tier that gets you the game 1 Free games updated 3/4/21
Hawke64 Posted October 16 Posted October 16 https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/frostyforest/dandd-adventure-the-smuggler-the-baker-the-grim-undertaker/description Backed this. So, now I (probably) will have a short D&D compaign.
