I'd love a Science Fiction setting that's not a space opera or cyberpunk. But the chances of seeing that are slim.

Heck, I'd be happy just for Space Opera without any magic. Alas.

So... safe to say you wouldn't want a Star Wars CRPG?

Also I am so unbelievably tired of Star Wars.

On that note, if Obsidian were to make a Star Trek RPG, I think I would die from awesomness poisoning.

Obsidian's hallmarks are complex morality, and the dark aspects of authority, and sin.

How exactly does that dovetail with the Star Trek universe?

Apply even 1% of Obsidian's cynicism and the Federation would fall apart like gin-soaked cake.

Probably this would never happen, but I say this again on this board:

I would love to see TB RPG based on Pathfinder Ruleset made by Obsidian...

Preferably in more eastern based part of Golarion.

A WildCards RPG would be boss.

I would throw too much money at that.

I don't see that happening, if for no other reason that PE is already a fantasy game and that Obsidian probably wants to do a different genre for their next KS.

Would be nice to see someone competent do it though.

My first choice would be horror and then science fiction.  But, horror wasn't an option.

My grandson saw the list and said it should be a space-post-apocalyptic game. Wonder how that would work.

What's the difference between "there", "their" and "they're"?   Apparently, none.

Something like Andromeda I would think. You have a benevolent system spanning cooperative taken down by inside or outside forces, and the remnants strugglig to survive in the aftermath.

The area between the balls and the butt is a hotbed of terrorist activity.

I'm failing to see a problem with this scenario.

But they could just set it in the mirror universe. Still not happening anyway, unfortunately.

Original IP(They are creative enough to create their own setting)

Cyberpunk/Alternate Timeline(Something in the veins of Akira, Cowboy Bebop, Blade Runner...)

Turn Based(Personal preference)

Cowboy Bebop? Super not-cyberpunk. Maybe you're thinking of Ghost in the Shell.

Heck, I'd be happy just for Space Opera without any magic. Alas.

I smell Mess Effect.

I wouldn't mind a Japan-style RPG coming from Obsidian, since some Obsidian staffs did express their fondness of Chrono Trigger.
I mean, an FF7 with less existential angst, dragged plot, and forced dramas would totally awesome.

Other than that, ALTERNATE HISTORY please! Like, what happened if Hitler won or something.

A game set during or immediately prior to World War I, focusing on the Great Game and giving the player the ability to influence events and create an alternate timeline where eg. the German Empire never loses the war or the October Revolution never takes place.

That's a severely underrepresented period and could benefit from Obsidian's steady hand.

While I won't buy "anything" that Obsidian makes, I'll certainly give them the benefit of the doubt. Personally, I would love to see something Cyberpunk by them, as it would seem to fit their writing approach quite well, but I feal Cdprojekt has ruined Cyberpunk for quite a while now... Even it it's not like the field is crowded, Deus Ex... Syndicate... vs. all the fantasy garbage.

You're a cheery wee bugger, Nep. Have I ever said that?

I'm fine with whatever they'll decide to do but I'd prefer if they went for either a game focused more on dungeon crawling(not gonna happen,I know)or,at least, balanced between that and quests/C&C/story like PoE/BG.

I'm fine with most setting, though I'd prefer settings like Ravenloft or Dark Sun.

From a selfish perspective, a horror game is basically the only scenario where I wouldn't pledge for the game (well, I might as a 'charity' thing, but certainly not out of interest). That said, my definition of horror is pretty loose - no problems with Bloodlines for example. But if it's what they want to do, then I respect that. Not for the first time anyway, the Aliens game was something I had zero interest in.
