Keyrock
1979 Revolutuon: Black Friday Interesting concept for a game. Kind of an ambitious goal though: $395,000. I'm definitely very interested, I like the idea. I like it a lot. I don't have anything iOS, nor do I plan to in the future, so I wouldn't back this as it stands, but were they to make an Android, Linux, or Windows version, I'd definitely consider it. Jhonrock
After Reset Ripping off Fallout and being greedy. I'd want this to succeed, but even though it's early, it doesn't look very promising. Very promising fallout wannabe. Awesome intro. Bester
GOD DAMN it. Got me super excited with that description and then the video, and then I see some foreigner in a garage, talking some nonsense with a giant accent. He's got no studio, nothing. Sigh..... Bester
That video where one model is running around ONE level, it takes around 50-60 minutes to make FROM SCRATCH in unity. That part where one model is gesticulating and then his model waves hands,... models in unity are sold with basic movements like these or you can buy a pack with lots of movements for 50 bucks. This whole thing is clearly a fake. The guy has done nothing game-wise, he only made a video and a few arts to get money and run. If indeed he intends to make a game, then he hasn't even started yet. Then why this kickstarter then? It's a scam... Edited November 15, 2013 by Bester IE Mod for Pillars of Eternity: link

BruceVC
A game about Iran!!! Finally, somebody noticed us! Prince of Persia wasn't enough for you? No. I have high expectations just like any other Persian. You do realize that Hurlshot is just joking Astiaks? We all know that a game like Prince of Persia doesn't accurately reflect Persian\Iranian culture "Abashed the devil stood and felt how awful goodness is and saw Virtue in her shape how lovely: and pined his loss” John Milton "We don't stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing.” - George Bernard Shaw "What counts in life is not the mere fact that we have lived. TSBasilisk
Somebody needs to let them know that they're going to get lawyered on by The Unwritten if they use just "Unwritten" as the main game title. Keyrock
I think Unwritten was on Kickstarter before and failed to get written. Looks like they're trying to get it written again. TSBasilisk
You would be right. A quick relaunch is not a good indicator. They should have spent more time putting things together and improving their pitch, rather than just two weeks. Undecaf
And they're still not going ot make it (if they started at 30 days and have 17k up from 9 days). I wonder if they're desperate enough to try for a third time with yet again halved goal. babaganoosh13
I just got an email saying that the Hero-U demo just came out. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1878147873/hero-u-rogue-to-redemption/posts/665859 The only trouble is, that's a backer-only update. ShadySands
I just got an email saying that the Hero-U demo just came out. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1878147873/hero-u-rogue-to-redemption/posts/665859 The only trouble is, that's a backer-only update. There is something magical about experiencing a new game for the first time. We still have a long way to go on Hero-U: Rogue to Redemption, but we are excited to share a little of the Hero-U game play for the first time. Please check out the first Hero-U demo at http://www.hero-u.net/demo/HeroUDemo. This is a Web build that should run in any browser. As a Hero-U backer, you are getting this link before anyone else. Feel free to share it with your friends and family. We will post the demo publicly in a few weeks as part of a makeover of the www.hero-u.net web site, so it's ok if it "leaks" a little early. The user interface is very straightforward: Left-click to move Shawn, Right-click to interact with an object or other character. Most right-click interactions show a menu of options at the bottom of the screen. Left-click on an option to select it. Once you use an option, it usually disappears from the menu unless it has new behavior or is necessary for a puzzle solution. You may bypass some of the text or the opening cinematic by pressing the Space Bar. We Want You to Be Hoppy We Want You to Be Hoppy Tell Us What You Think If you haven't already registered on our forums at http://www.hero-u.net/forum/index.php, this is a good time to join the discussions. I've created two sections under the "Specific Game Discussion" section for discussing the demo – Demo Discussion and Bug Reports. Keeping to these categories will make it easier for us to fix bugs for future updates. The demo will be one of the first scenes in the actual game, although we will be making changes after we get your feedback. We are also in the process of a major upgrade to Shawn's appearance and animation. We will have many more pleasant surprises for you! Physical Goods update: TeeLaunch is fulfilling our t-shirt, meep toy, and baseball cap backer rewards. They had a delay unrelated to our project, but expect to be able to ship the rewards soon. Everyone who requested these rewards and filled out their survey should get them in time for Christmas. Kickstarter Konnections The Bolt Riley: A Reggae Adventure Game project (http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/soundguy/bolt-riley-a-reggae-adventure-game) also has a new demo for you to play. You can find that one at http://bolt-riley.com/game. There is just one week to go in the Bolt Riley campaign, and it has reached just under one-third of its $110,000 goal. This game is make-or-break for the Adventure Mob company, so please support it if you want to see them make more adventure games. Lori and I designed some content for "chapter 2" of Bolt Riley. They need to get chapter 1 funded before our part can appear. Jamaican Me Crazy Jamaican Me Crazy Lori and I are also supporting Ever, Jane: The Virtual World of Jane Austen at http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/30564009/ever-jane-the-virtual-world-of-jane-austen. This is a unique concept – an online world in which you are a character in the Regency period of England. The emphasis is on social interaction rather than combat. If you like books by Jane Austen or Georgette Heyer, you will probably enjoy this game. It is currently at just over 50% of its goal with two weeks to go. One of our backers recommended Deathfire: Ruins of Nevermore RPG (http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/g3studios/deathfire-ruins-of-nethermore/) describes itself as, "A single-player party-based CRPG with dungeons, deep character interaction, solid storytelling & turn-based combat for PC, Mac & Linux." The project leader (Guido Henkel) and his team are award-winning German RPG developers who have also worked on such projects as Planescape: Torment, Fallout 2, Neverwinter Nights, Heroes of Might & Magic, and League of Legends. I suspect they know how to make a good game. J Deathfire is at slightly under 20% of its $390,000 goal with 19 days left. Another suggested Dwarven Delve – An Action Puzzle Crawl With a Twist (http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/205899120/dwarven-delve-an-action-dungeon-crawl-with-a-twist) looks like a quirky and fun "twist" on a Diablo-style RPG. Players have the power to twist sections of the dungeon to enter new areas, avoid monsters, or get the monsters into trouble. Dwarven Delve is at 45% of its modest $30,000 goal with 11 days to go. Stasis – 2D Isometric SciFi Horror Adventure game (http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/bischoff/stasis-2d-isometric-scifi-horror-adventure-game) is being led by artist Chris Bischoff. It features an SF story and dark, moody environments reminiscent of Alien. The project is already over 65% of the way towards its $100,000 goal with 19 days to go. The team members have already developed part of the game to Alpha level. They are looking for funding to add content and polish the game. Night In the Woods (http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1307515311/night-in-the-woods) is a 2D adventure/exploration game. It looks quirky and unique, and the developers are going out of their way to build a community with the backers. Night In the Woods has just four days to go and has more than tripled its goal thanks to over 6,000 backers so far. If you are a science fiction fan (as we are), you might also consider heading over to Indiegogo to support opening a preview version of a Museum of Science Fiction in Washington, DC. The campaign is at http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/museum-of-science-fiction-preview-location and we are backing it 1 Free games updated 3/4/
Keyrock
You won't believe this, but there's another Kickstarter for a point & click adventure game. It's crazy, I know. Here I was thinking to myself "if only there were more kickstarter campaigns for point & click adventure games", and bam, one just pops up. Anyway, it's all rather British and stuff and is about exploring the galaxy to expand the British Empire. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1236117571/her-majestys-spiffing If nothing else, the pitch video is pretty well done. 1 RFK Jr 2024 "Any organization created out of fear must create fear to survive." - Bill Hicks
