BruceVC
Hi All I know this may be a little late but what are your plans for NY? How are you celebrating, if at all, and I am also interested in a post after NY explaining how the night actually went. Normally we go to large events and get home 24 hours later. But this NY I want to do something different and wake up on NY day. So I have bought all the necessary ingredients for a Cheese Fondue and my g-friend and I will be eating at home and then watching the various NY events around the world on different News Channels What are your plans? Nepenthe
Gonna drop by at a friend's NYE party, and then head the couple of blocks to my mom's place for the actual changeover. Since the last girl I took out a couple of times decided I was too white for her, don't have a date for the evening. :D You're a cheery wee bugger, Nep. Have I ever said that? Starwars
Gonna have dinner with my parents, then I haven't decided yet if I'm gonna go to a party at a friend's house. I know it's gonna be one of those blow-out parties that will be discussed for many years to come, with lots of people etc. But, working tomorrow, though I don't have to be up early. So I may just take it easy. Listen to my home-made recordings (some original songs, some not): http://www.youtube.c...low=grid&view=

I don't mean to pry its just interesting I didn't ask her to elaborate, but she appears to have a fetishistic interest in men of a darker complexion. (and yes, for the record, that's exactly what she told me and not my interpretation) Edited December 31, 2012 by Nepenthe You're a cheery wee bugger, Nep. Have I ever said that? Malcador
Hm, probably will go to bed 11-ish or so. Lot of chores to do tomorrow. Why has elegance found so little following? Tale
My thought upon seeing the thread title was "what is New York planning now?" Oh, you're talking about New Years. I'm not much for holidays, but I might pop out some sparkling wine. "Show me a man who "plays fair" and I'll show you a very talented cheater." Hurlshort
I'll hopefully be in bed around 10:30. Staying up until midnight sounds exhausting.
Labadal
Had a quiet Christmas, but will celebrate this day with parents/brothers, grandparents and uncles + cousins. Already had a crazy meal. Had some arak with the meat, it's a godly combination. Not been drinking enough to get drunk, but the chances of that happening in the next few hours are big. Happy New Year. Rosbjerg
Happy New Year guys - I had the most ****ing legendary New Years ever, I wish I could've shared it with you. In bar called Sin City and it really.. really.. lived up to it's name. Let's share some stories here, what is the funniest thing that happened to you either on New Years Eve or in 2012 in general? Malcador
Well failed to get to bed early, ended up playing WoW with my buddy, heh, still find it funny he's the dean of a college at the major university in town. People on TV seemed really excited about Tuesday, though. Why has elegance found so little following? Lexx
Heh, when reading the topic title, I first thought "Hm, did something bad happened in New York? Let's check it out!" Guard Dog
Happy NY everyone. I spne the majority of the last 72 hours watching football. It was a real bummer not having the Winter Classic this year. Damned NHL! Rosbjerg
I am very interested in your night and what happened? Especially why you feel it lived up to its name of Sin City. I wish I could go into details, but seeing as this is a family board I can only give you the PG version.. I had been talking to 2 girls for a few minutes, when one of the confessed she loved poledancing, luckily for me there was a stage and a pole nearby, so I pulled them up there and started dancing with them egging them to dance together and use the pole - 5 minutes later we had a show going. Then this Swedish girl comes up and ask for lessons, so I ask one of my new friends to show her the ropes me and the other girl judge her progress. She was a quick learner, but then again most Swedish girls are.. long story short, I decided to go for the Swede and had a blast of an evening. I ended up going out after all to a large NY celebration, it was good fun.. NY as in New York I assume.. How is that city during New Year? It has to be pretty crazy. 1 Fortune favors the bald. Wow, that did sound fun and completely hedonistic. A worthy New Year No I just meant a New Year celebration and it was in South Africa. We went to a prominent dance club and there were 3 international DJ's. They played excellent minimal and tech-house music. It was really festive, free champagne...but no dance poles 1 "Abashed the devil stood and felt how awful goodness is and saw Virtue in her shape how lovely: and pined his loss” John Milton "We don't stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing.” - George Bernard Shaw "What counts in life is not the mere fact that we have lived. Rosbjerg
Go for the pole dancing party next time, when the girls get drunk they get competitive, it's great fun. But that sounds like a good party you had none the less. Fortune favors the bald.

LadyCrimson
Apparently we did enough nutty partying in our 20's to last a lifetime because we haven't cared to do anything wild and crazy for New Years since. Somewhere we got old and just like to stay at home and maybe drink a drink. I remember as a very young kid watching D. Clark's countdown on TV and that NYC "apple" falling. It was a big deal back then I guess, even to the W. Coast ... people gathering around to watch it, counting down, then running outside of their houses to whoop and holler with the neighbors. Er...at least that's what it was like around my parent's house for some years. “Things are as they are. Blarghagh
I never looked at this thread because I thought it was going to be about New York. Anyway, I drank something that my german friend's brother made - I didn't know what it was and it made me extremely drunk. Don't remember most of New Years and had the worst hangover I've ever had. I forgot the cardinal rule of don't drink something if you don't know what it is.
Azure79
I'm in Korea so I had to attend an ancestor worship ceremony on the morning of 1/1/2013. It usually takes place during Chinese New Year, but my parents wanted to do it on the 1st because my sister and I were both in the country. I had a pleasant night catching up with all my cousins who are all of drinking age now, so we had a few drinks, played a few games and acted cute for my grandparents who were staying over. It was good seeing all the family again. This year end I have to fly out to Sweden and hang out with Rosbjerg. My last girlfriend was an Asian but went to school in Sweden before she moved to the US. I was always impressed with how pretty her friends from Sweden were. No, me ogling her friends wasn't the reason we broke up.
