Katphood Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 (edited) Yup, Far Cry 3 is defenitely GotY worthy. The story and characters have been really awesome so far. Funny, the shooters released this year(Spec Ops, The Darkness II, Far Cry 3) had more compelling stories compared to RPGs released this year(the ones I have played at least). Edited December 2, 2012 by Astiaks There used to be a signature here, a really cool one...and now it's gone.
LadyCrimson Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 I've been playing Pharaoh on and off over the past couple of months and it's good, but then all those style of games are pretty much of a muchness. If you like one there's a very large chance you'll like the others. I really wanted an Akhenaten scenario for Pharaoh though. They change details/gameplay options a little bit, but yup, pretty similar. Except Casear3 didn't have roadblocks or any way to deal with the crazy market ladies (except by using stand-alone gatehouses everywhere). What started to annoy me tho was the pastel colors of the later ones like Zeus and even to a degree CoTN. Shallow of me, but yeah.... “Things are as they are. Deadly_Nightshade Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 I've been playing through Modern Warfare 3 to kill time and it's not nearly as bad as I expected. "Geez. It's like we lost some sort of bet and ended up saddled with a bunch of terrible new posters on this forum." -Hurlshot
entrerix Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 finished dishonored, a very solid game, not perfect by any means, but well worth playing, it will be in my top ten of the year for sure Killing is kind of like playin' a basketball game. I am there. and the other player is there. and it's just the two of us. and I put the other player's body in my van. and I am the winner. - Nice Pete.
Tale Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 Played Modern Warfare 2. Now this one I would actually say was good. Not fantastic, I'm not feeling an urge to play it again any time soon, but worth the $9.99 I paid. 1 "Show me a man who "plays fair" and I'll show you a very talented cheater."
entrerix Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 i actually prefer modern warfare 2 to modern warfare 1, i think its because in MW2 there is no infinite enemy spawns... 1 Killing is kind of like playin' a basketball game. Oner Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 i actually prefer modern warfare 2 to modern warfare 1, i think its because in MW2 there is no infinite enemy spawns... There are. I tried it out once and gave up at a place that had enemies respawning behind, before and above you. In a back alley. BruceVC Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 I am actively playing Sleeping Dogs with my Xbox Controller and the game rocks. The Controller is a huge improvement to the Keyboard in this type of game. Sleeping Dogs reminds me of GTA 4 but with an Asian influence and the hand to hand fighting element makes an exciting change to using weapons. So I highly recommend it "Abashed the devil stood and felt how awful goodness is and saw Virtue in her shape how lovely: and pined his loss” John Milton "We don't stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing.” - George Bernard Shaw "What counts in life is not the mere fact that we have lived. Labadal Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 Still playing Planescape: Torment, Tales of Graces f and Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth. All some type of rpg, but at the same time, so very different. I've put my Storm of Zerir playthrough on hold until I'm done with these games.

Drowsy Emperor Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 Zelda Ocarina of Time, for the first time. Quite impressed with the game. Practically every game that came out afterwards took something or other from it. I'm struck by how far ahead of its time this game was. I remember in 1998 PC gamers were playing Tomb Raider and the like and thinking it was the ****, but its a joke compared to Zelda. 1 И погибе Српски кнез Лазаре,И његова сва изгибе војска, Седамдесет и седам иљада;Све је свето и честито билоИ миломе Богу приступачно.

Orogun01 Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 On related news Lara Croft has; since her latest installment, joined the **** Walk asking people to tell her "she was asking for it" I'd say the answer to that question is kind of like the answer to "who's the sucker in this poker game?"* *If you can't tell, it's you.
Morgoth Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 (edited) Somebody playing Miasmata? It looks intriguing but can't quite determine what to expect. How is it? Edited December 2, 2012 by Morgoth Rain makes everything better.

LadyCrimson had played it, check the link below on this thread. AwesomeOcelot Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 The original Tomb Raider is one of the best 3D platformers to this day, only bested by Sands of Time and Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, the level design and puzzles haven't gotten surpassed since. Beyond Good and Evil had some great platforming segments, very reminiscent of Tomb Raider. What the **** is a Zelda?

Oner Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 Played the demo of Primordia, a pretty post-apocalyptic adventure game. The protagonist is Horatio-Made Version 5, a wanderer Humanitarian (Man is the perfect machine, robots are the creations of it's creations, tasked to tend to the planet), who's ship's power core is stolen in the intro and he sets out to Metropolis, the City of Glass and Lights to find it. The puzzles are a bit weird at times (or just a bit buggy, or I'm really unlucky). They are logical, but your exact objectives are somewhat fuzzy at times. Still, I suck at adventure games and I could complete it, so it's not too hard. The art style is gorgeous and the world/story is interesting. LadyCrimson Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 Somebody playing Miasmata? It looks intriguing but can't quite determine what to expect. How is it? I like it. It's fairly simplistic and doesn't have a ton of story (imo), if you're into that, but it builds a nice atmosphere of dread, curiosity, and exploration/discovery. You have to drink water quite often (or die) and make medicine occasionally. The nights are really really dark on my monitor, tho, and torches don't last very long before you have to find another stick on the ground. Limitations like only being able to carry one of each type of plant in your left hand at a time (3 total) are a bit annoying. But I'm having a fun time with it. “Things are as they are. HoonDing Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 What the **** is a Zelda? It's Super Mario, only with pansy Elves. The ending of the words is ALMSIVI.
