So wait, Call of Duty Black Ops includes Zork? I might just have to buy my first Call of Honor game since the third one.

But is it longer than 5 hours? ;)

Yes! It is 6 hours! :) (Seriously, it took me six and a half hours to beat on normal yesterday!)

Yeah... CoD is still a short game... so if your only interest is in the single player you might want to either just rent it for a great weekend or wait till the price comes down.

The MP has a few new features, one of which that I really like is the ability to play against bots. It is seperate from playing with people, so you can't level up and then go play against people. Its great for folks like me who are mediocre/suck at CoD multiplayer and just want to explore the maps and get used to things.

Some UK retailers are threatening a boycott of games that use Steam.

Was wondering how long it would be until this started. Considering how US game shops have started minimizing PC game exposure as it is (presumably due to inability to do second hand sales), I don't see this threat having too sharp of teeth should it be tried here.

Edit: I linked Slashdot because that's where I got it from and like reading comments. Here's the original link. http://www.mcvuk.com/news/41746/Retail-threatens-Steam-ban

They're a little late to the party, it would seem.

If US prices drop from $60 to $40, Aussie retailers will probably drop it from $120 to .....$110.

Nah, they'll make some BS quote about exchange rates and move it to 140. :)

You're a cheery wee bugger, Nep. Have I ever said that?

THQ boss saying that he may drop the price of their games by 20 bucks brand new and make up the lost amount in DLC (mainly from what they saw with MX vs ATV)

What he is saying is, from now on we'll let you buy 1/3 of the game for 2/3 of the cost. To actually get the full experience you will need to fork out over $100 per game.

In my always optimistic nature, I hope it will be more like what Extra Credits from The Escapist talked about some time ago.

In that case, I'd pay for the core and then get the dlc's reloaded.

I have read rumors that Two Worlds II Ps3 might get cancelled altogether, **** if that is true. I want my damned game, and I will not buy it on PC becuase it is six years old and couldn't even play NWN2 properly.

selling your ps3 and upgrading your PC would be the next logical step

A PC upgrade will have to wait 'til next summer. And there are too many PS3 exclusives I have yet to play. Maybe I have to investigate the Xbox 360 version. If I could enjoy Risen on Xbox 360, Two Worlds II should be no problem.
