Judge Hades Posted July 13, 2006 Posted July 13, 2006 KotOR 3 has not been announced so no one knows what systems it will be on. Speculation is useless.
Haitoku Posted July 13, 2006 Posted July 13, 2006 especially with sony going into "la la land" I'm with you on that. I have yet to see a single game that justifies... well, anything really (MGS4 won't do it at this point).
kumquatq3 Posted July 13, 2006 Posted July 13, 2006 wow, I'm slipping. I forgot a few games didn't I? - Mass Effect - Dead Rising - Gears of War - RE5 - Alan Wake - Alone in the Dark - Bioshock 3 more and it's a definate done deal.... especially with sony going into "la la land" <{POST_SNAPBACK}> If only any of their hyped games turned out to be worth the hype. If only. Also, Bioshock, Alan Wake, RE5, and I suspect 1 or 2 more of those games arn't 360 only. Which means they might be good.
Judge Hades Posted July 13, 2006 Posted July 13, 2006 You know, I am not particular impressed withthe next gen consoles.
Meshugger Posted July 13, 2006 Posted July 13, 2006 You know, I am not particular impressed withthe next gen consoles. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That has alot to with the fact that they're aren't next-generation. alanschu Posted July 13, 2006 Posted July 13, 2006 As I look at the lists, it seems as though most games that interest me also have a PC version. Meh.
Bokishi Posted July 13, 2006 Posted July 13, 2006 I have a 360, but I still get PC versions of it's games, if I can. Current 3DMark
SteveThaiBinh Posted July 13, 2006 Posted July 13, 2006 This looks a lot like Kotor3 to me. I mean, obviously it isn't, but it looks and feels, in this video, like a straight successor to Kotor1 - which is reasonable enough, considering how successful that game was. I shall look forward to the probable PC port . It sounded like they'd made some progress on the voice acting, but you still feel, even in those examples, you're hearing someone reading a script alone in a booth rather than someone physically present, with others, in the situation. It also doesn't look like they've gone the route of motion capture either, which I think is a shame. The opening music made me think of Frederick Pohl's Gateway. "An electric puddle is not what I need right now." (Nina Kalenkov)
Craigboy2 Posted July 13, 2006 Posted July 13, 2006 Best game ever. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Looks nice but the voice acting and the npc's expressions don't seem to fit. kirottu Posted July 13, 2006 Posted July 13, 2006 I wonder can you make anything else more unorginal than scifi with evil robots? This post is not to be enjoyed, discussed, or referenced on company time.

Epiphany Posted July 13, 2006 Author Posted July 13, 2006 That has alot to with the fact that they're aren't next-generation. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> How so?
Meshugger Posted July 13, 2006 Posted July 13, 2006 I wonder can you make anything else more unorginal than scifi with evil robots? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I challange Bioware to do a story a la Neon Genesis Evangelion (including the movie), where the player can choose between the angels or mankind. Pidesco Posted July 13, 2006 Posted July 13, 2006 You know, considering everyone predicts the demise of PC gaming at the drop of a hat, it would be nice if someone were to predict the death of console gaming because the next generation of consoles appears to suck. :D "My hovercraft is full of eels!" - Hungarian touristI am Dan Quayle of the Romans.I want to tattoo a map of the Netherlands on my nether lands.Heja Sverige!!Everyone should cuffawkle more. The wrench is your friend.

I was a pretty hardcore sony fan... now I'm not sure I'd touch the PS3 with a ten foot pole.
Musopticon? Three of the twenty I can reasonably say I've watched. No, not that unoriginal. Blue hair on the other hand... How much more off-topic can we go? :D Anyways, is this supposed to be a trilogy? kirottu said: I was raised by polar bears. Pidesco Posted July 13, 2006 Posted July 13, 2006 I don't know, this doesn't seem that impressive, so far. They haven't revealed a whole lot of info, and the little they have revealed is about the graphics, and from this video they don't seem that good, in fact I think the animations are a bit wooden. Everyone that was at E3 disagrees with you on graphics, as does everyone that's posted on the subject that viewed in via the marketplace. The clue is in words like "seem" or "think". These indicate I'm voicing a biased opinion (note that I use redundancy for effect). Gromnir Posted July 13, 2006 Posted July 13, 2006 (edited) how on earth does you people manage to find so many causes to praise or slam a game from a trailer such as the one linked. is beyond our comprehension... though it seems some of you simply sees bio label and draws conclusions... neg or pos. no shock there we s'pose. HA! Good Fun! Volourn Posted July 13, 2006 Posted July 13, 2006 FANBOY ALERT! FANBOY ALERT! - I like the graphics, music, and voice overs. Someone mentioned the voice of the bartender was too 'teenagerish'; I say; perhaps the race sound slike that plus it sure didn't sound like aq typical teenager, anyways. - I'm iffy about the atcual dialogue tree; but the dialogue itself was good though the lipsychning obviously needs some work still - I chuckled when I saw the young lady who was sitting in the older gentleman's lap - combat looks pretty quick in real time - I really can't eait to drive around in that land rover; looks like lots of fun - the samller details really spruce stuff up; my exmaple of the old man + young woman shows this Some misconceptions in this thread (some of which has been squashed already): 1. There is pretty much a full character creation. The only things 'set in stone' are the character's last name, the race (human), and you are a commander. You can choose class, skills, gender, and even background. 2. Yes, stats *do* matter in combat. You can also pause during combat to switch characters and target an enemy if you so wish. If the story works out, and the actual rules are decent; this game will be easily better than either overrated KOTOR. DWARVES IN PROJECT ETERNITY = VOLOURN HAS PLEDGED $250.
