alanschu
For $650 they better be ****ing unbelievable. Like "kill me now I'm in heaven" good. And invincible to boot! Though I think those are still Monsoon speakers :D Their tech support email address (now defunk) was monsoonservice@sonigistix.com. I'd imagine their expensive because they are rare. Pidesco
Umm, if you follow the links, they go to some kind of storage devices. Sorry... Anyway, here is a list of Sonigistix Monsoon speakers. Perhaps you'll have better luck with the specific speaker names, when searching on google. I have to go, good luck. alanschu
It seems as though the Sonigistix speakers came about because some dude came upon a flat (or many flats anyways) of Monsoon speakers after Monsoon was bought out/bankrupted/whatever. After some legal queries, it was determined he could legally sell them. It sounds like we just missed the boat on them actually. Some people on teh internets recently purchased some MM-700s. metadigital
Alas, my gaming rig is gone again. I have three computers in this house and I don't have a game on any of them I feel compelled to play right now. I guess I can get back to work and play TOMBS when I feel like a break. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Space Rangers 2 runs on my lappy at about 130fps, with all the settings at maximum. And the robot battles are real-time (with a pseudo-pause, when building stuff). PS Try rolling back the drivers, if you are having problems ... sometimes a fix in an earlier code release doesn't make it into the input code of a later fix (due to poor management) and this is called a REGRESSION BUG: this means that sometimes a bug can be fixed in an earlier driver and not in a later (until the regression code is patched). Also, even though the FAA mandates a reliability rating for all components of aircraft, for example, so that a pop rivet on a 747's wing has a failure rating of, say, 1 in 10,000,000, they very early on realised that such a system is impossible with software, as every change made to code can create instabilities in unconnected parts of the stream. Conseqeuntly, "updating" software can sometimes result in a poorer performance in a completely unrelated part of the programme. Hassat Hunter
I think Painkiller was better than DOOM 3, FEAR, and HL2, but I liked them all. on the PK aspect. Actually the only of the 4 mentioned that I like... DOOM 3 is the scariest. DOOM 3 is the only one of the bunch that gives me the willies while I'm playing. Orphanage... Asylum? Oh, that sucks. We can only hope that some company decides to make similar speakers for PC. On topic: I'm playing Manic Miner. It's still incredibly hard. Cantousent
Well, my laptop is for work and TOMBS. That's it. However, I was thinking of getting Space Rangers 2 anyhow. Frankly, with a P4 3.0GHz, an ATi Radeon 9800 pro, and 2GB of dual channel memory, my wife's computer can more than handle most games out there right now. Of course, I've been playing Metal of Honor Breakthrough on Cath's computer every now and then.
