Because everything is connected. And flooding every discussion with cries of censorship does function as a distraction from the other things.

Don't want this thread to turn political? Maybe get the cute comments crying about censorship every other post to back off. Then this won't be about politics.

Or have them do it in an honest way. Because you know very well, censorship is not new or woke.

ehm, when did post last time anything about censorship? One would assume, if I put some emoticons at the end of my statements, that people in here would assume, that I am trying to poke a fun at something 😢 I think, I have clearly expressed myself on this board, as one of "dem woke libtards" already, but I still think people should be allowed to have fun with about anything... Even in the Ukraine thread, when people are joking, there is less "outrage" generated, than when making fun out of some stuff, which I consider over the top, even if it is done by group of people, which have similar political view than I do... :shrugz:

@melkathi

Melkie  I really think  you are exaggerating. We definitely dont talk about SJW and censorship all the time.  People joke sometimes as well, not everything has to be so serious 8)

We need to get you a show on the History Channel.

Edit: Some context for our non-American forumites: The History Channel is a TV channel whose content is largely comprised of shows talking about crackpot conspiracy theories. I'm not gonna lie, I find some of those shows highly entertaining, but I watch them with a shipping container full of grains of salt.

I always thought Robocop was cheesy as hell.

It will be interesting if they manage to incorporate the satirical nature of the original Robocop. At first it looked like a pretty bland shoot 'em up, but the CEO stuff was spot on. Considering Spec Ops: The Line is the only shooter I've bothered with in the last couple decades, I'm slightly intrigued if they can make it more than a murder simulator.

Cheesy satire at its finest.

This looks kinda awful. At the rate they're making these Middle Earth games I can't wait to play as Tom Bombadilo in a harem visual novel in 2030. "I remember the first acorn," is probably his go-to pickup line.

A pre-EarlyAccess footage of a new game from Prison Architect folks. Gosh, such a strong nostalgia with this update. Looks like FTL on steroids.

visual are very fancy

gameplay sounds very boring

I like the idea of Pirate themed games, I havent played too many but Risen comes to mind and I enjoyed the concept of sailing around, trading and exploring islands

This game has potential but it has limited SP so Im not sure how keen I am?

EDIT But the MP component looks fun, you can SP but you cant avoid other players attacking you. It reminds me of RDR2 online which was fine, you sometimes get attacked but generally other players leave you alone unless you want to PVP

Speaking of Skull & Bones...

Zero gameplay, but a cool cinematic trailer nonetheless. I'm a big fan of Assassin's Creed: Black Flag and Rogue (which might as well be called Black Flag 2) and ever since Black Flag came out there has been this thought: What if Ubisoft dispensed with the stupid and convoluted Assassins & Templars storyline and just went whole hog on the pirate adventure we all want? Is this it? Also, going by that trailer, I can make an Asian lady skallywag, to which I say "yes, please". My question is "can I sail a junk?"

The lack of a solo campaign is a bummer, but not necessarily a deal breaker. It depends on what you can do out there besides battle other players. Sid Meier's Pirates didn't have a real campaign and that game was amazing.

This looks pretty good. Just watching 20 mins of the video made me want to play it myself.

I'm surprised pirate settings aren't more popular really.  I was going to say "they should make a pirate CRPG" then I remembered deadfire

Now I want to play deadfire

Just to be 100% sure, that you are aware of it, even though you have mentioned it in your comment. It is an UBISOFT GAME with no SOLO CAMPAIGN!!! Last Ubisoft game with the same premise was dead at the end of the same month it was released 😛😛😛
