You'd give it a look though as a Multiplayer game, not because of the ip

Correct. To be honest, I don't much care about the IP in the case of Swansong either. I mean, I have nothing against World of Darkness, but my main motivating factor is the developer, on account of how much I liked their previous game.

The IP turned 30 this month incidentally. The 1st edition of the pen and paper RPG was published July 1991.

Was there any reason for the "witchercon" right now? I thought that season 2 would run soon, but at the end of the trailer they announced it for december .. which is still months away. So why all this stuff now?

The art and objective of effective Marketing is you can never prepare people and gather interest in something that is impending sooner enough :sorcerer:

I'll be trying this when I get home to see if it's true, I might actually pick it up again.

Pirate propaganda, no doubt.

It does stutter quite a bit at Castle [Romanian name that I can't be bothered to look up how to spell].  Figured it was just bad programming as the Japanamese aren't known for their fondness of PC but this theory also makes sense.

When the vast majority of their games sell on console, I mean why worry if a small % of the PC base may pirate a copy?  Eurojank RPG's only being released on PC in the 00's and early 10's may have a point but this could be going a leetle bit too far, conservative suits are still alive and well in the West it seems.

Playable pre-alpha demo available as well, though folks are having problems getting it downloaded at the moment due to traffic.

“Political philosophers have often pointed out that in wartime, the citizen, the male citizen at least, loses one of his most basic rights, his right to life; and this has been true ever since the French Revolution and the invention of conscription, now an almost universally accepted principle. But these same philosophers have rarely noted that the citizen in question simultaneously loses another right, one just as basic and perhaps even more vital for his conception of himself as a civilized human being: the right not to kill.”

"The chancellor, the late chancellor, was only partly correct. He was obsolete. But so is the State, the entity he worshipped. Any state, entity, or ideology becomes obsolete when it stockpiles the wrong weapons: when it captures territories, but not minds; when it enslaves millions, but convinces nobody. When it is naked, yet puts on armor and calls it faith, while in the Eyes of God it has no faith at all. Any state, any entity, any ideology that fails to recognize the worth, the dignity, the rights of Man...that state is obsolete."

I know I keep saying this but this game looks excellent...but I am not  crazy about the voice overs in the game so far. A game like this must have someone speaking English who is Russian or East European and has an accent like in Metro

It makes it realistic and believable, I use to love Artyom's ( metro protagonist )  reflections on his life and journey

I am not trying to sound petty and captious but I really dont want to play a game set in Russia with American or UK English accents

Well, with that I can totally agree with you. Red Alert 2 would be worse game, without the "Rubber Shoes in Motion" in proper Russian accent :)

Are you one of those gamers who loads the " killing children allowed " mod in RPG 🚸

I generally never kill children unless they possessed or evil, I dont mind annoying game children running around repeating things like in Fable Anniversary ...I just ignore them
