Damned if one does and damned if one doesn't. I take my chances with discrimination rather than sexual misconduct accusations

I must say that is one way of looking at these issues and its interesting and paradoxical because I can both see problems and real benefits to what you saying if you think of possible  punitive litigation due to sexual harassment  and then the charges by  not following local  hiring policies

I'm glad they are doing weapon rebalancing. The bow was indeed OP as **** and the battle axe garbage because it. Was. So. Sloooooooooooooow and didn't do nearly enough damage or stagger to make up for how excruciatingly slow it was and the fact that you obviously can't use a shield with it.

Crazy that No Man's Sky was able to get out of the crap it started in. Usually games with such a release are dead in the water and will never recover.

Such games are usually published by EA 🤷‍♂️ . Thankfully this is not the case :)

Well, you can always just hire the people with the best qualification for the job you offer. If it ends up all female or all male, it's most likely just an coincidence :shrugz:

Yep. You could also just not hire people that harrass women or discriminate. That is also an option. Professionalism is hard, I guess.

Well, if people could sort out this kind of personality trait just by talking to other people on the job interview, I doubt we would have so many harassment headlines lately :shrugz:Unfortunately, that's almost impossible :(

Hard to know that.  Enforcement is the key.

I dont think enforcement is the key, I think a clear understanding and acceptance of the code of conduct and acceptable behavior in any company is the best and most sustainable solution going forward

Midnight Sun's gameplay.

EDIT: For some reason, I really don't like cards in my games. They just always feel uninappropriate for me in digital setting. Not particularly liked cards in my board games either.

At least there's no gameplay microtransactions?  Honestly, it looks not very good.  Your team members are basically just a load out.  You don't get individual turns, your whole team just gets one turn where you get to take x number of actions (and only 1 movement action for the whole team...).

Also, being a Marvel product, I'm guessing that it will be as close to impossible to mod as they can make it.  So...yeah, I might buy it when I can get it and all the inevitable DLC for $5-$10.

Reforced isn't a word, so I have to assume it's a jab at Blizzard. In any case, the console release means that the main campaign and Soul Harvest will now be using the updated Fallen God engine, delivered as a free update to PC owners. As good an excuse to replay it as any.

I would not keep my hopes up for no MTX... The card mechanic is the most exploited mechanic in conjunction with loot boxes in AAA and F2P games...

This  may seem like a valid point but no one in an interview, if even asked , is going to say " yes I like to discriminate agaisnt xxx " so I am not sure how your idea could be reasonably implemented

But thats why company policies and codes of conduct matter and address these things....you should sign these types of legal documents when you join any private or public sector institution

Then can you please explain to me, why the biggest culprits in the workplace misconduct are the "wokest" companies of them all? Like Ubisoft, Blizzard and now Paradox? This is a serious question... They even have Chief Diversity Officers with 6 digits salaries to take care for that, but it seems to me, they are just rotten to the core, and the CDO position is there only to cover up their ****ups...

,  you right ....their are numerous examples of certain companies being in contravention of their own codes of conduct

But I cannot comment on the gaming industry and why this happens. Because personally I have only worked primarily in listed companies in the financial and software sector and people absolutely do get fired if they discriminate through cases like sexism or racism

Its a clear violation of any company policy I have ever signed  so the culture of discrimination doesnt grow or be practiced because you get fired.....it really can be as simple as that

But Mamie, something else about finding solutions to discrimination

I firmly believe this can be vastly reduced but please.....I beg you in the interests of all things sustainable and effective....we dont need  unions or the idea of unionization in the gaming industry as a solution

This is not a union problem

This is not a union issue, but I do not agree with you, that gaming does not need a unions. I cannot judge how is this in every country, but properly working unions in a Slovak company can guarantee you up to triple monthly income, much safer and healthier working conditions, etc., etc... compared to a Slovak company, if there are no unions 🤷‍♂️

I have very bad SA experiences with unions, very bad

But you clearly have " properly working unions" in Slovakia and we dont. For example our state controlled energy company is running at about 24 Billion Euro loss and has  been for about 5-6 years due to state capture corruption that is now over . Unions at the SOE ( state owned entity ) are demanding double inflation salary  increases and performance bonuses !!! But the institution is running at an incredible loss and is just costing us tax payers money....the unions are also fighting logical and normal structural reforms to address this drain on the SA tax base as we  still have to bailout every year  all our loss making SOE ....and  this issue occurs with almost all our unions. They make outrageous demands in state owned institutions that are funded by taxpayers yet are running at a loss
