Gfted1 Posted August 1, 2022 Posted August 1, 2022 Pat Carroll Carroll is perhaps best known for playing Ariel's half-octupus/half-human nemesis in the 1989 hit Disney movie -- and for all the show-stopping numbers she pulled off on her own, doing all of the singing for the film by herself ... and reprising the role throughout the years. 2 "I'm your biggest fan, Ill follow you until you love me, Papa"
Bartimaeus Posted August 8, 2022 Posted August 8, 2022 (edited) Olivia Newton-John. I've only ever heard a few songs she sang, but she did sing the intro song, Take Me Home Country Roads, for my favorite animated film of all time...which I know is a cover, but it matters not to me. RIP. Apparently, she'd been fighting breast cancer on and off for 30 years, and it's what got her in the end. Spoiler Yes, I did have to upload this myself - all the uploads already on YouTube were either of horrible quality or some version that had really bad mixing where her voice was weirdly muted and muddled. This one's...a little sharp for my tastes, but it's much better at least. Edited August 8, 2022 by Bartimaeus 4 Quote How I have existed fills me with horror. Zoraptor Posted August 9, 2022 Posted August 9, 2022 '(Let's Get) Physical' is the first song I can actively remember being #1 in the charts here. The video certainly can be interpreted a little differently when you're older than 5. 2

LadyCrimson Posted August 17, 2022 Posted August 17, 2022 Since there's no concrete definition of what makes a "classic movie" you could (technically?) say many of his movies are, if one uses the broadest of a film simply of high reknown that holds up (or even becomes rated higher than at initial release) after repeated viewings/many years. I probably like In the Line of Fire more then Air Force One but neither are even close to the league of Das Boat. At any rate, RIP.
