"Cuius testiculos habeas, habeas cardia et cerebellum."

Olivia Newton-John. I've only ever heard a few songs she sang, but she did sing the intro song, Take Me Home Country Roads, for my favorite animated film of all time...which I know is a cover, but it matters not to me. RIP.

Apparently, she'd been fighting breast cancer on and off for 30 years, and it's what got her in the end.

Spoiler

Yes, I did have to upload this myself - all the uploads already on YouTube were either of horrible quality or some version that had really bad mixing where her voice was weirdly muted and muddled. This one's...a little sharp for my tastes, but it's much better at least.

How I have existed fills me with horror. For I have failed in everything - spelling, arithmetic, riding, tennis, golf; dancing, singing, acting; wife, mistress, whore, friend. Even cooking. And I do not excuse myself with the usual escape of 'not trying'. I tried with all my heart.

In my dreams, I am not crippled. In my dreams, I dance.

I only remember two songs... both from a very long time ago

Those are absolutely timeless though. My 15-year old daughter knew both of them.

'(Let's Get) Physical' is the first song I can actively remember being #1 in the charts here.

The video certainly can be interpreted a little differently when you're older than 5.

Air Force One is a classic ?

I'd say Das Boot and Neverending Story qualify as classics. I don't know about the rest of that list.

Since there's no concrete definition of what makes a "classic movie" you could (technically?) say many of his movies are, if one uses the broadest of a film simply of high reknown that holds up (or even becomes rated higher than at initial release) after repeated viewings/many years.

I probably like In the Line of Fire more then Air Force One but neither are even close to the league of Das Boat. At any rate, RIP.

As well as, Olivia Newton John ... yeah, Grease will always have a place in my heart.

Remember: Argue the point, not the person. Remain polite and constructive. Friendly forums have friendly debate. There's no shame in being wrong. If you don't have something to add, don't post for the sake of it. And don't be afraid to post thoughts you are uncertain about, that's what discussion is for.

I think I read his DM of the Rings D&D/LotR parody many, many years ago. RIP.

Peter Straub had passed. I remember reading The Talisman and enjoying it when I was a kid.
