Pidesco Posted February 25, 2019 Posted February 25, 2019 Well, can't be worse than Crash. Many are calling it just that... Or the worst since Crash. injurai Posted February 26, 2019 Posted February 26, 2019 I wonder if Alita was partially done to get the CGI teams for Avatar primed and ready.
Malcador Posted February 27, 2019 Posted February 27, 2019 And I was led to believe Topher Grace was a dumbass. 1 Why has elegance found so little following? Elegance has the disadvantage that hard work is needed to achieve it and a good education to appreciate it. - Edsger Wybe Dijkstra
LadyCrimson Posted February 28, 2019 Posted February 28, 2019 Between those two pokeman trailers, I no longer have to see the movie. I have all the cute stuff right there in the trailers! ...Ryan Reynold's voice works for me, at least in terms of the films. If only a stuffed doll of pikachu actually looked like the cgi. I'd so buy one to sit on top of my PC. 1 “Things are as they are. Katphood Posted March 1, 2019 Posted March 1, 2019 I am just going to sit down and watch the crap out of Joe with my cats. There used to be a signature here, a really cool one...and now it's gone.
misterjimmy Posted March 1, 2019 Posted March 1, 2019 (edited) Looks better than the first trailer But it's a shame to see Daimio's Were form so small. And also I think those idiots in charge couldn't tell that the blue coloring here wasn't representing actual literal blue lenses. Edited March 1, 2019 by misterjimmy 1
Raithe Posted March 1, 2019 Posted March 1, 2019 Caught Aquaman last night. Enjoyed it, did not have the DC feel to it, but more of that adventure style pulpness. Definitely more humour in the first section of it then you expect in most DC films, but the latter half toned down the yucks for more serious CGI battles. Although it is hard to see Dafoe in that costume without having flashbacks to his Green Goblin. "Cuius testiculos habeas, habeas cardia et cerebellum."
Blarghagh Posted March 2, 2019 Posted March 2, 2019 I thought the costumes in general were pretty bad, with Black Manta's power rangers level outfit being the worst offender. Otherwise really good pulpy fun. I don't normally watch found footage horror, but a friend recommended "Hell House LLC" which managed to seriously creep me out on multiple occassions. Group of people building massive halloween haunted house in old hotel get more than they bargained for. Gets kinda dumb by the end though.

Given how popular and high quality collectibles are these days I’d be surprised if there wasn’t something that looks very much like it was pulled from the movie available. https://www.ebay.co.uk/i/253321649079?chn=ps&ul_ref=https%253A%252F%252Frover.ebay.com%252Frover%252F1%252F710-134428-41853-0%252F2%253Fmpre%253Dhttps%25253A%25252F%25252Fwww.ebay.co.uk%25252Fi%25252F253321649079%25253Fchn%25253Dps%2526itemid%253D253321649079%2526targetid%253D594043180790%2526device%253Dm%2526adtype%253Dpla%2526googleloc%253D20342%2526poi%253D%2526campaignid%253D1700162090%2526adgroupid%253D66994533115%2526rlsatarget%253Dpla-594043180790%2526abcId%253D1140486%2526merchantid%253D113076249%2526gclid%253DEAIaIQobChMIuvbms-jj4AIVzJztCh10-QeZEAQYAyABEgIT4PD_BwE%2526srcrot%253D710-134428-41853-0%2526rvr_id%253D1878779365173%2526rvr_ts%253D3f1d1afa1690a16d0ce2bd27ffff6f8d
Raithe Posted March 3, 2019 Posted March 3, 2019 The Foreigner. Interesting one, Jackie Chan as the small restaurant owner with a slightly fuzzy background whose daughter is killed by a rogue IRA operation in London, and he then ends up going to terrorise some politically correct IRA (headed by Pierce Brosnan) working on the peace process to get names of who killed his daughter. No frantic martial arts or acrobatics, but a nice pace of tension and character overall. A few twists and turns to the politics, the lies, and manipulations going on behind the scenes and then ends on a fairly low key, slightly somber note. Kefka1134 Posted March 5, 2019 Posted March 5, 2019 Now THIS is definitely a thread I can get into... I watched Deep Blue 2 yesterday and honestly way better than the first one and all around impressed on a number of differnet levels... Also I thought the actress is pretty cute... Danielle Savre is her name...
Hiro Protagonist Posted March 6, 2019 Posted March 6, 2019 Not that I liked the Solo movie and I've mostly erased the movie from my mind. However, I came across this and it shows just how bad the colour grading was. Fan project from some random guy. While there is some over saturation in parts, I had forgotten how bad the original movie was. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MNkdfNXV_Lo

I have no idea how ppl make these type of videos, but doesn't your TV have a large play in how it looks, too? I mean I saw it via Netflix and it looked a lot better than in that video. Certainly wasn't washed out and bland. I don't have the blu-ray tho and never will. Edit: also the "after" section, it's not just over-saturation but over-contrast and other things. I wouldn't like either version. On my monitor/TV's anyway. Edited March 6, 2019 by LadyCrimson “Things are as they are.
