dude.. I did the quest but he won't become a friggen MONK! Better even: I failed the freaking Diplomacy check in front of Bonegnashers'(that is what it was) lair even though my Diplomacy is 19. What the heck gives?

I haven't watched any of the animes, just played around with a model my friend has(Sword Impulse or something), so I really don't have any expetations. Heck, even the Transformers movie license game looks great. Colour me...reasonably reserved.

How do you measure that?

Jade Empire is definetly a good effort.

I remember liking one track in the original NWN, the battle theme that played when you fought the Forest Spirit in Neverwinter Wood.

Commandos 2 is surely the pinnacle of 2d design. So intricate, so realistic without being ponderous. Another very beautiful 2d game is King of Dragon Pass. Just google it. I've always liked the 3d design of Clive Barker's Undying, but "best grafix"? Probably Conker's Bad Fur Day for Xbox. It is crazily detailed, especially materials like fur and wood. Same goes for Oddworld: Stranger and perhaps Panzer Dragoon: Orta.

I'm on to Headgnashers'(or similar) lair in NWN 2. I don't have enough influence to start Khelgar's vision quest. Bummer. Well, I guess that is for the next playthrough, or the one after that, should I play a rogue.

Personally, I'd prefer anything but Washingtonian post-apoc. Rather, it would be nice if the devs could go with a characteristic areal theme, like good old American Mid-West, and introduce the post-apocalyptic, call it a "mutator", into the mix.

The Longest Journey had a memorable score, so did Dreamfall, but the most prominent one in my mind is the soundtrack of Rune. I don't give a crap about epicness and bombast, but that soundtrack could make your blood pound(Siege on Thorstadt, Ragnar's Theme, Melancholy Victory) and also had some creepily awesome ambient tracks(Entering Hel, Skuld). Even when my brain eventually rots away, I'll always hear the distinct thoooom of the chant over a medieval gibfest. Another one that has given shivers is the sountrack for WH40K: Chaos Gate, especially the Ultramarines' Chant, which is probably the most familiar one to you. It's even in youtube. To step out of war for a time, almost everything Eric Brosius touches, turns to gold and when he makes something himself, it is pure freaking platinum. Thief 3 OST is out there, released by a dev, for free. Give the thing a listen. Eric is a golden-eared genius. Deus Ex, nuff said. I also have an old, now rekindled with Blood Money, love with the aural ambrosia made by the Danish maestro Jesper Kyd. Hitman 2 and Freedom Fighters were both blasts aurally, but his work really shines with the unconventional approaches he took in Blood Money. Pure bliss right there. Honorable mention goes to Kai Rosenkratz, I hope he keeps it up.

I saw a Transformers trailer when I went to See PotC 3 and it looked fecking awesome. I haven't cared for Transformers since second grade, but that was some badass robot design.

Winter Assault is seriously fun. I don't think I've ever faced a more desperate battle than the 3rd Order mission against the unrelenting "Green Tide". I must have killed some 2000 orks upon that gateway ground, the whole yard was probably pockmarked with hellgun and plasma fire, pawmarks and treadgrinds after it was over. That had to be the best DoW mission I have played, after the Dark Crusade Thur'Abis battle. ****ing ace, I love desperate last stands like that.
