NWN 2 Rogue Dao Studios interview @ NWN2Worlds
As a wannabe-linguist; that cant news is superbly interesting. Can you elaborate on it a bit? For example, does it demand a lot from your voice actors?

The Black Hound FAQ
This is pretty high on my list. It'd be nice to see this kind of view on a high fantasy world come to fruition.

Warren Spector teams with John Woo on movie-game project
It's what Thief 1 should have been apparently. There never was an expansion for the game, but the Gold edition introduced three new missions, like an expansion pack, for the story and changed some levels(I think there was some extra areas and at least one new enemy). You don't necessarily need Thief Gold for the missions(they've been done as fanmissions for normal Dark Project already and Thief 2 as well), but I'm aiming for completeness. Not to mention, the missions are not afterthoughts, but integrate in to the original campaign and story.

What are you playing now?
Don! Long time no see! Where've you been? I'm currently goin' through various games my friend "loaned" to. Among them probably the best being King of Dragon Pass and Fallout:Tactics. Summer is eating my playing time though. Heh, I'm not bothered.

Best Game Soundtracks
I didn't think PS:T had that exceptional tracks. Some very memorable ones, like Deionarra Theme, the main theme and Burning Carcass(or whatever) Pub theme, but most other were just decent. I can laso remember just one fight theme(played when you fought the Xaosithects at least), I usually remember all the fight songs from games I like. Hell, I fight a lot.

It's The Ashen Age Part 1, byt Sliptip. The Circle has an article about the author if you follow the url in the link. And meh, I prefer Thief 2's gameplay(tap-sneaking, cameras, no apparitions, Life of the Party), but Thief 1 has superior athmosphere and story. Edit: About GoW, the part where they get back from the Caverns and stop over at the Historical Society(you can see these huge flags on a building), there was a definity Hammerite feeling. Otherwise it felt more like playing in a Hive City from WH4Ok society, even the Cogs were more like Ultramarine First Company Tyranid-hunters. The cog symbol though, I can't help but to think of Mechnists all the time. My friend wonders why I always laugh at it. Edit2: I need Thief Gold. I still haven't played it.

Pfft. You could argue that both Thiefs had worse and worse mission design the further you got. And you still would not be right, since both late games have so many bright spots as well. Just like in Thief 2 Casing the Joint and Soulforge were horrible, but Life of the Party the best mission ever, both Undercover and Return to the Haunted Cathedral are awesome while Strange Bedfellows and The Maw were less than stellar in Thief 1. Much less. Usually when it comes to arguing over Thiefs, there's the people who hate supernatural stuff and the ones who can't help but love it. Often people prefer one game over the other based on which one they played first, but since I don't know which one it was for you, I'll go on a limb and say that you played the second one through and never finished the first. Otherwise you wouldn't bother with lies like "better mission design" or "better story". Seriously, you thought the whole rust gas business with Karras made a compelling plot? Heck, I was just following the thing because the missions kept being decent. Truding deep into the City's pagan plots was far more interesting, especially since Garrett actually had a reason for following the plot besides the archaic "let's save the world". I'll grant that the narrative was better in Thief 2, in Dark Project it took longer to get the plot going and any hooks in place(Assassins) and ther weren't many ties to the main plot arch until The Sword/i], while Thief 2 started throwing them to you after Shoalsgate Station and didn't let go. Maybe you just don't like the supernatural elements there. Too bad.
