  1. My wishlist: More fancy dresses. And miniskirts. +1 Miniskirts that gives bonuses to cipher charm. Yes, even if the cipher is a man.
  2. Win 7+ really shouldn't allow applications to do this without crashing first, in a perfect world this should 100% be related to hardware / driver configuration / overclocking / overheating, all of which can break Win 7+ easily. Of course, it's not a perfect world.
  3. I just saved the game with your old save on the off chance it makes any difference for you: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/3208/34a1558af3324d98acb5af33ca3cf38f%208075122%20TempleofEothas.savegame
  4. I just picked one of them and I guess it was an old one, I'm sure they all work fine for me.
  5. Afaik they are only on your list to hire or no, but if you hire them they start standing around outside or in the main hall of the keep. Of course, I didn't exactly search for them, maybe they're in the barracks with all the other lazy bums who refuse to lift a finger during attacks unless they're added to the party...
  6. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lu37VpwaVAA Pretty much.
  7. Yup, I have the same but not with skeletons, it's those blights for me. Here he is being invisible and following me around, just trolling. (pre-patch) Here is an example of him just standing in a map. Still trolling, but not invisible or following me around anymore.
  8. That dude would have totally joined you! You missed the boat, captain.
  9. Hi, yeah I only checked OP for links. In any case it's loading just fine for me. I renamed the file to "Forums-TempleofEothas.savegame", copied it and your profile name showed up under saves with only this save in it. At least your progress is not gone, even if you can't load it right now :/
  10. Hi, try uploading a few saves unto dropbox and share a link. Also, did you try re-installing Steam? Steam is watching that folder and syncing it, could be screwing with it. Also, if you have one good save-game you want to continue from, try copying it somewhere safe and disable Steam cloud sync, copy it back and see if it loads.
  11. He keeps going on about it. Im only on A3 so I took him to Kurren. I didnt like that answer, was hoping to find a better, stronger cipher - saw that someone found another one in the A3 town but the answer is the same as Kurren so I think it continues past 'oh well' You mean you "don't" think it does right? I don't think it does anyway. I used him from start till finish and nothing more came of it.
  12. Wait, what? I must have missed this, pretty sure I would have remembered this. I was hoarding skins the entire game as well, but meh, didn't need the money at all.
  13. I had Grieving Mother do it on the spot if I recall correctly. Also, that ended his quest line with "oh well, guess we'll never know. Let's get drunk!"
  14. I don't get how that is so bad? You're not supposed to go hunting for named items, you're not even supposed to know they even exist, right? Only reason you know is not in the game, it's because you're replaying or you looked it up somewhere.
  15. In any case I like how they're called Orimanth, Zylthain, Damondrad and Willthorm....and then there's a guy named Tobi.
  16. ... Hoooooooooooooooooow? Seriously, ACT I is over in Caerd Noa, there's absolutely no way at all to gain lvl 10 already before going there simply by lack of content, around 10 or less maps. So I somehow doubt this. I don't think it's possible for a group but what if you solo it? It should be possible then right?
  17. D:OS is indeed a great game, the mechanics are much more interesting when it comes to crafting / item stats. I feel that a combination of their mechanics (and YES, turn based combat) with Obsidians writing prowess and quest design could potentially create a black hole of RPG goodness that would consume the earth. So it's probably a good thing that they're separate games, warts and all. 8/10 feels right for POE.
  18. I sided with the dozens too but did at least one quest for the knights before they didn't want me helping them anymore. I had no problem getting the smith to reforge it. It wasn't even a skill check iirc.
  19. It's true that they might not be objectively worse or better than each other but I find that the word "exceptional" is a lot stronger. If it's a machine producing magic items, that particular item was an EXCEPTION to what the machine usually produces. An anomaly, it wasn't supposed to be that good, the machine was only supposed to be producing "superb" quality items. Or imagine going to an in-game shopkeeper selling a mix of good and great magic items. If you pass a skill check you can access his "exceptional" stash, which is of course much better than the "fine" and even "superb" items that he normally sells because, you know, they're exceptions.
  20. I agree, it's basically combat XP with a cap on it. Grind monster type X until full proceed to grind monster type Y. It didn't bother me at all though, I think it works just fine.
