  1. "This is the worst part...the calm before the battle." ―Soldier "And then the battle's not so bad?" ―Fry "Oh, right, I forgot about the battle. [Whimpers]" ―Soldier
  2. That's where you're more hopeful than I am. I feel this was a calculated decision through and through. In any case it should be standard practice that backers get everything possible first. A simple clause that says that backers get to play it as soon as possible. It's not asap when you make calculated decisions based on marketing before letting your backers(who already paid) play the game.
  3. Because it's not about understanding anything else than "money". Every argument against mine that you can make ends up being "money" and you know this perfectly well.
  4. It's simple really. You let the backers play first or at least at the same time as the streamers or youtubers or wtf ever. They won't be lost revenue, they paid already, years ago. Any other concern is up to the publisher or Obsidian themselves but your first priority should be to honor your backers with something other than nice cheap words. Yes, I'm serious.
  5. Imagine Obsidian as Darth and Kickstarter backers as Lando in this one.
  6. Seems the game is cancelled. Aww jeez. Oh well, they gave it their best shot.
  7. 319 guys right now wishing they were streamers.
  8. You know any 14 year old streamer that's not really into RPGs and has 20 followers on a good day? Try asking him for a key. I hear he has plenty. I kid, I kid.
  9. Tried Empire:Total War upon release. I barely survived the experience. That's like the next level kind of unfinished / buggy state. Obsidian ain't there yet, they're amateurs compared to that.
  10. I'm sure there are actual bakers waiting to play as well.
  11. Any info on this day one patch I've been hearing about? Non spoilerish info that is.
  12. I feel that more options is not always a good thing. I've had this discussion before on forums such as Q23 but my argument is the same; I want a "designed" experience. A vision fulfilled by writers and designers that let's me play in their world but this world has a theme and a path and comes with rules that you must follow for the story to work. Outside of a difficulty setting and UI customisation I don't want a "create your own game", "emergent gameplay" experience with this title. I want to take part in the story primarily on their terms, not my own. Choices matter little if they can be undone when deemed inconvenient. You still have the option to restart the game after 10 minutes and test out all the different characters and builds, but when you do commit, the story has begun, there are no backsies and that's how it should be.
  13. R.E.S.P.E.C....C.. find out what it means to me.
