  1. At least we know the command to get rid of the fog of war now :D And I'm of the same opinion as Gfted1. I'll of course try to get through the game by normal means (learning the mechanics, lowering difficulty level etc.). But if I can't progress because the combat is too hard or something like that, then I'll resort to cheats or trainers (especially if I like the game/story and would like to see it to the end!). Can't wait for the game to come out =)
  2. Okay, thanks! While the normal edition's price is okay (I guess), I think people feel it's way too much "only" for a digital version, when in other cases one would be paying so much for a physical Collector's edition. And it would be cool to have goodies packages on GOG, it's just that you can never please the people since some would like to have the map and the soundtrack and other the guide and the artbook or something.
  3. New meme for the win. I only heard those f.. noises when I tuned in later.
  4. GOG hands down. Support the DRM free revolution! :D With Galaxy coming, patches will be updated more quickly too (hopefully). And the real support (in case of problems with the game) is way better than Steam anyway
  5. Thanks for the answer! It's like I thought then, should make things less complicated! =) Can't wait for my GOG key
  6. That price though So, on the GOG editions. My Slacker Backer would probably get me the normal Hero Edition, but what about some of the bonuses I backed separately (like the guide), will those be downloadable from the backer portal? Or are you upgrading me to the Champion Edition?
  7. If you want to stay positive, never go to the Codex forums. Never ever. Especially if you like Bioware games :D Also looks like they really don't like Josh over there. Ah well, as I mentioned in the other thread, I'm in mainly for the story. I know there is lots of combat in the game, but I hope the storyline and sidequests are engaging enough. I'll figure out my way through the fights somehow (I take it easy/normal should be easy enough, no? Will there be any console btw?).
  8. I didn't even expect for it to ship totally bug-free, but this doesn't sound good xD Around March sounds good. And what about the expansion? Will they work on it/release it no matter the game's success? Cause I've backed it =)
  9. To clarify Sensuki's answer, yes, there will be no more zones added to the backer beta. There will be more zones to test on the official release day! And that will be when? Do we now more about the release day than just "Early 2015"? And if not, what do you guys think? You've been on this for a long time, I guess what the game still needs is polish and bug killing, no? Or are there other important systems yet to be implemented?
  10. I agree with the OP to a certain degree. The other side of things is, like Sensuki said, that people have to/are asked to give feedback. Now, what kind of feedback it is and how the majority thinks of it is another question. What's essential is that the developers can pick out and differentiate what truly would improve the game, while keeping their own concepts in mind. When I'm reading forums (this one, or the Codex forum - with way crazier people :D) I'm sometimes amazed how much people can argue about issues that seem trivial or not really that important - but that's of course from my point of view. I'm just looking after a good story. The rest of the mechanics should just facilitate coming to the juicy party - if they make it more enjoyable, it's of course even better
  11. The way you're saying that makes me worry a bit, but probably because I just got more paranoid because of everyone else Hope those will be your future plans as well, GOG/DRM rules =)
  12. People sure are quick to panick! :D But at least it shows we're invested! Sounds like you guys thought this through and you (should) know what's best for everybody!! We haven't had an in depth discussion, but what we offer to the backers is most likely what we will offer to non-backers. Though regarding the above, I can only hope PoE will be available on GOG for non-backers as well!!
  13. I also find it interesting how you can research new spell you've seen other Wizards use! And of course, the once-per-day/encounter limits disappear the higher your level is (for the weakest spells, but still!!). The Druid also sounds good, of course. We'll have to do at least 11 playthroughs to experience all those characters first hand :D
  14. Loved this update! Both classes sound great, especially the Wizard! But I'll still roll a Cypher first, me thinks... This especially makes my day ♥ And how about some crazy level 9 spells animation? (forgot if they said something about this, but I doubt they'd include something like this). I was suprised by that as well, but why are you sad? This is what i meant by almost. I cant pin point detail, not sure what or why, but this doesnt sit well with me. Moment I saw it. Just a silly feeling. I must have carried different idea or expectation how those forces work. For some reason being wiz and personally shape the magic felt like certain definition of wiz to me. Oh well, I guess Tauron will be exception to the rule Anyway, great update, carry on guys! Think of it that the Druids and Priests have powers sent directly through them by their deities or what have you, whereas the Wizard is using his skills, knowledge, grimoires and rituals, incantations etc. to harness and manipulate the magical forces around him; a conductor so to speak. At least, that's what i shall do... Also something I kinda stumbled upon, but what cornishr says actually makes sense!
  15. Sadly, I haven't played BG yet, so I don't know what to expect. But if the "easy" difficulty doesn't cut it, I'll just cheat my way through the game =D
  16. Name: He Who Would Not Die Inscription: A single life was not enough, But a single grave Is all he got. Haha, wanted to contribute with something to this thread, too Anyway, thanks for giving people who are interested the opportunity to contribute to the game (even more than they already did, I mean).
  17. - A "good" RPG doesn't have to have overly difficult combat just so "hardcore players" can feel good. I want to enjoy a good story, not spend 8 months on a boss battle. You have dungeon crawlers for that. - I liked ME3 and its endings (with EC). Well, at least I didn't hate them - Oh, and I dig romances - Also, high five to the guy who said he liked The Witcher romance cards. I'm playing the game at the moment, and you know..."Gotta catch 'em all" :D
  18. Since when do you need an excuse to go at it with your MC's sister in a video game?
  19. To be honest, I didn't really have the option for handicapping my character in the games I've played till now and I don't think I would really do it if I had the choice. It might be more RPG-y to do it and I don't have anything against having a choice, but I want my hero to be a hero. Of course, you can have a flawed character who can still be a hero inspite/despite those flaws, so it's a very interesting concept as well. Especially if the game recognizes that. So, bottom line, it's really interesting, but I personally can do without =)
  20. No stretch-goals? That surprised me a bit, but you guys must know what you're doing! The game coming out in Winter 2014 is great, though!! Also, what about adding add-ons to our current pledges? I'd really like to have that expansion, already :D
  21. Let the modding begin!! :D I do like romances in my RPGs, but I don't think I'll mind them not being in th game too much...
  22. Take your time, but don't overstretch the budget. I know that's one of the biggest problems when devs "are taking their time". The game must be finished at some point, but I trust that you guys know how to find the right balance!
