  1. They turned on hostile on me too but I did not complete, or steal, the Theorems of Pandgram. I just stole other stuff in there and left the place no problem, they definitely were not hostile then. Only when I returned for the Parable of Wael quest after having buried the scroll, do I find out they are all hostile. And Autosave. So I can't complete Theorems or Parable. I can kill them all but its a massive hit with Defiance Bay rep, even though they attack me first.
  2. This happened to me too. Worst of all, because Autosave writes AFTER a transition and not before, I am boned unless I want to lose hours of gameplay and go back to a previous save...which I don't. Also, I did not steal the Theorem scroll. I did steal other stuff but I didn't get caught. So to have the whole place go hostile after the fact, with no feedback, is jacked. Finally, they are hostile and they attack me. Why do I lose major defiance bay rep for defending myself?
  3. I noticed this as well and wondered if it was not just a typo from a forum post that continues to propagate.
  4. CON definitely needs something more than the current End/Health/FORT bonuses to make it a more attractive attribute. It is the worst of the 6 by far.
  5. Yeah I bought these as well and they do not work as I expected, which was that the consecrated ground spell effect would be applied to whoever was wearing the boots, all the time in combat. This does not happen.
  6. I'll second this. If that disables achievements, you can always grab the mod here which allows you change stats and not disable achievements. http://www.nexusmods.com/pillarsofeternity/mods/1/? I would like to change my pre 1.03 saves to the new Companion Attributes but do not want to disable the Steam achievements. I looked at the mod page and the instructions here http://rien-ici.com/iemod/ How does using the mod to change attribute scores not disable achievements? It looks like you do it the same way, having to enter iroll20s to unlock cheats (which, allegedly, disables achievements...) Thanks edit: OK it looks like you do not need to enter 'Iroll20s' to use some commands with the IE mod. It seems like some characters have a different name in the console though? Durance, for example...is GGP? Was testing on him initially and it was not working... edit2: Man the way the game handles numbers seems really obtuse. I am editing Eder and have unequipped all his gear and made sure there were/are no buffs on him...despite that, when I set his Resolve to 13, it shows as 15 in his character sheet. Why? Hiravias, similar issue setting his Con. No matter what value I enter he has +1 from that on his Character Sheet.
  7. I like Eder and Sagani the most. Eder is extremely well written, hats off to whoever did him because almost everything he 'says' fits him perfectly. Sagani talks a lot less but I like the concept/background of the character a lot.
  8. They will leave it in. Now, if it was a transgender child they would probably edit it.
  9. I think the companions were serviceable before the changes, on Hard. Especially before the Mindblades nerf, Grieving Mother's terrible Attribute spends aside, she was my companion MVP. I am surprised that the stat changes are not retroactive in existing games though. Seems like they could have done something about that.
  10. How many people have seen The Hangover 2. In that movie, Andy from The Office has sex with a trans. And is upset about it after the fact. The HORROR! Is that 'transphobic'? I say no, but If so, should the film be censored because of that? I say **** NO! The limerick that got censored here is more nebulous than that and yet it was cut because a small minority were offended. Sad. The offended have a choice. Don't play. Don't watch. Don't listen. Spend your money elsewhere. I do not have problem with the criticism, I have a problem with Obsidian's knee jerk reaction to it.
  11. Fair enough but why are fast patches and patch notes mutually exclusive?
  12. I love this game. To me it is BG3, a game I have been waiting for since 2001's Throne of Bhaal. That said, the combat, for me, is a weakness. No scripts/AI means you have to pause non stop to be successful, at least on Hard. I prefer turn based combat systems in general and I think, especially in the absence of party AI, that a turn based combat system would actually flow more smoothly than the existing system. Indoor combat where there is a choke point is especially painful. The pathfinding is abysmal and even if you place your tanks at what appears to be a choke point on the map, there is no guarantee that actually works out.
  13. Yeah I don't understand this. Prior to the change, its a bad 1 talent investment, a decent 2 talent investment. Now? Bad 1 talent investment, worse 2 talent investment. And Kana starts with it and probably picks the 2nd half of it up on his own if you don't recruit him early enough.
  14. And this thing went from bad to worse... Oh boy. Well - I'm grateful I never backed this with more than the minimum required for the basegame. I feel so bad for the people who spent hundreds or more, only to be shat on. Maybe you should check to see if the backer agreed to the change before you go off the deep end? If the backer is ok with it, good for him. Its still not ok with me. What happened here was that Obsidian allowed a tiny number of twitter losers to edit content in their game. In *my* game. This is unacceptable. This is a big game with a lot of 'mature' themes and a wide range of potentially offensive actions available to the player. Some people will be offended by one or more of these themes and the actions the player can take, or the actions of others in the story. So what? Offended people have a choice. Buy the game or don't. Consume the content or don't. Obsidian is letting the offended make that choice for everyone, and that is wrong. And ****ing stupid. Yes, but here's the thing. If the backer requested it to be changed then Obsidian is basically obligated to comply, regardless of the devs' political leanings or views on censorship. He/she paid for the tier and gets to decide what he/she wants to do with it. Yes, it sucks that random people on the internet can sway people's opinions, but from a business perspective Obsidian needs to listen to their backers, and if that's what happened then that's what they did. Well, first of all. I am 99.9% sure the guy that wrote the memorial did not approach Obsidian about changing it. It was a ****ing joke. He wrote it, he obviously was not offended by it. But even if that is the way it happened I don't think that "...Obsidian is basically obligated to comply...". You think that if any of the other 386 Backers at this tier decided, after the game was released, that their memorial needed to be changed, that Obsidian would change it? Of course not. This was changed because of Twitter whiners. I do agree with you that Obsidian should listen to their backers and I would bet good money that if they polled all of their backers with this question: If someone on Twitter is offended by something in our game should we change it? Yes or No. the answer would be overwhelmingly in favor of NO.

  16. How chicken ****. Very disappointed. What about murdered kids? Do you think that might offend people? Because I guarantee you it does. Lets go ahead and remove some quests and edit the story because some people might post about it on twitter. Where does this end? Answer: It does not.
  17. Yeah...I guess there was some kind of problem making it retroactive. I assumed it would be.
