What are you playing now?
I always wanted to give that one a try, never got around to it though... Maybe because the local game pusher (EB Games) never had it on the shelves

I can still hear you...
Thanks, I'll see if I can figure out what is in the boxes Unfortunately, I am going to be working overseas for a couple of weeks now, so I won't have time to play with my new "toys"

TSL Restoration Project: The Phantom Deadline, READ FIRST POST BEFORE POSTING.
It sounds like TG owing anybody anything is still a popular misconception though.

I can still hear you...
I gave up trying to get the Thermaltake cooling tower. Went with a Zalman Reserator 2 instead. Fan less of course for maximum silence Now just waiting for already ordered bits and pieces to arrive. I noticed that the ATI4870 has been added to the various online stores product pages, but still nothing in stock. For something that looks like identical cards, there seems to be a bit of a price difference between Sapphire and Gigabyte cards. Anyone know why?

Games you are looking forward to
Had a look at some of all those links mkreku posted. Never heard about most them. Some of them do look interesting though and I might even be able to run them

What D&D character are you?
He must have cast Eagles Splendor on himself before the test!

What D&D character are you?
You Are A: Chaotic Good Human Sorcerer (6th Level) Ability Scores: Strength- 11 Dexterity- 12 Constitution- 15 Intelligence- 20 Wisdom- 17 Charisma- 13 Alignment: Chaotic Good- A chaotic good character acts as his conscience directs him with little regard for what others expect of him. He makes his own way, but he's kind and benevolent. He believes in goodness and right but has little use for laws and regulations. He hates it when people try to intimidate others and tell them what to do. He follows his own moral compass, which, although good, may not agree with that of society. Chaotic good is the best alignment you can be because it combines a good heart with a free spirit. However, chaotic good can be a dangerous alignment because it disrupts the order of society and punishes those who do well for themselves. Race: Humans are the most adaptable of the common races. Short generations and a penchant for migration and conquest have made them physically diverse as well. Humans are often unorthodox in their dress, sporting unusual hairstyles, fanciful clothes, tattoos, and the like. Class: Sorcerers- Sorcerers are arcane spellcasters who manipulate magic energy with imagination and talent rather than studious discipline. They have no books, no mentors, no theories just raw power that they direct at will. Sorcerers know fewer spells than wizards do and acquire them more slowly, but they can cast individual spells more often and have no need to prepare their incantations ahead of time. Also unlike wizards, sorcerers cannot specialize in a school of magic. Since sorcerers gain their powers without undergoing the years of rigorous study that wizards go through, they have more time to learn fighting skills and are proficient with simple weapons. Charisma is very important for sorcerers; the higher their value in this ability, the higher the spell level they can cast. --- Umm, CHA 13 is a rather poor excuse for a sorcerer, isn't it?!? Ever fired guns?
You somehow remind me of Burt from Tremors

What are you playing now?
I am probably going to go through a lot of my old games in short order. Having just installed Vista 64bit, it is time to test all the oldies for compatibility. First game (not an oldie) was NWN2 with MotB and it ran smoothly the 30 minutes that I tried it. One down, 49 to go

How did you get into the gaming industry?
So that is what David Braben is doing these days The split between him an Ian Bell was a sad thing.

Valve Pimps PC Gaming
I thought Amiga gaming lost out to PC gaming because Commodore went bankrupt? For years, Commodore drained their Amiga subsidiary of money to keep their PC division afloat, starving the Amiga for any significant technology advances until PC's actually started catching up, at least on the hardware front. As to whether Windows ever will be a good an operating system as the AmigaOS... I am less convinced. The only thing it lacked was proper memory protection (unsupported at the time by the Motorola cpus).

Anyone playing Fighting Fantasy :P Is this cheating?
Unless you are playing orks... How often do you roll a total of 7 on six dice in a critical situation?!?

Kotor Minis
I don't play SW miniature games, but I like collecting and painting miniatures. Any links or pictures?

Ever fired guns?
Not unless you count water cannons...

I can still hear you...
Partially. I was never too excited about Vista, but I figured it might be a better choice for a brand new machine. I need a new (64bit) OS anyway, since my old 32bit XP pro would be wasted on it (like, using 3 out of 8 gb of ram) Edit: Moot point, bought the full retail version today

I can still hear you...
Thanks I hope to join the "Post your specs" thread some day soon. The price difference is approx. 250$ vs 450$ (australian, about 0.95 USD per Aussie dollar). Same product, same features. One is tied to your motherboard and can not be used on other computers (once activated), should you decide to relocate your system.

Avatar topic
An animated gif that I found many years ago on the web. It's shrunk compared to original size in order to meet size restrictions. I picked it because it sort of matched my member no. (without the way too obvious choice of some little demon/devil/fiend image).

It's my party and I'm required to invite you
Well, a country that has both System Bolaget and official snooping on your emails and mobile calls to see if you are up to no good, why shouldn't that aspect of their lives be regulated too?

What you did today
People sometimes use strange words at work, like "Balance Sheet" and "P&L". I never quite figured out what they are, but the people who run those companies seems to be very excited about them

Movies you have seen lately
The Tuxedo. I wonder what all the negative fuzz on imdb was about, I found it funny.

I can still hear you...
I really should be ashamed of myself, decided to buy the cheapest of the cheap, el cheapo gfx card (the less than 50$ kind, but with passive cooling) and borrowed a core 2 duo plus 2gb of ram from a buddy. just so I could get the thing up and running (and so I could see if what I had bought so far actually worked). An old, rickety LG DVD drive that can only read DVD-R is pretending to be the optical drive. Ordered the QX9650, the Corsair TW3X4G1333C9DHX (two of them), and the Sony BWU200S blu-ray writer. The cooling solution I had in mind is out of stock. Call for details Nevermind, that is a problem for another day. I am not going to bother much with cooling until I get the gfx card(s) that I want. The Sapphire 4870 looks very nice at the moment, if not available quite yet. Now, do I get a Vista Ultimate 64bit OEM or Full Retail?...
