  1. Your face is mundane. Today I'm bullying Krezack, just like any other day! Don't worry, Shryke will be back again No doubt with plenty of stories of booze and girls Too busy working this week. Not much else gets done
  2. As I said, our experiences sometimes colours our perceptions I can only compare the parts of the story that are given with what matches things I've seen.
  3. Yeah, our perceptions are probably coloured by our experiences. I've met parents who lost their babies (still born, not even an accident) that never truly got over it and I've met parents who somehow completely lacked that "bonding" thing between them and their children. They were something used to cash in on welfare benefits (i.e. abusing "the system"). From the available information, it sounds like this was something that happened in the latter category. It wouldn't surprise me if the guy is more concerned about jail time than the fate of the baby he was responsible for.
  4. Qt, there is a world of difference between being concerned about your child and trying your hardest to do what is best for it... and then being concerned about whether or not there is enough beer in the fridge, the child be damned.
  5. Hey, this split thread button actually worked as anticipated!
  6. And death by wisdom teeth is?
  7. Shh... don't give too many secrets away
  8. Never underestimate the power of lobbying. Lobbying is not necessarily related to anything just or ethical, only related to self-interest. Why wouldn't everybody try it?
  9. Thread pruned. Let's try and keep this sober...
  10. What, we were never married. ...and prone to self-denial too Interesting point about not being made to last past 40. A lot of things speaks in favour of that idea. *Cough* (looks at birth certificate)
  11. The water block I ordered is a "full cover" model. Covers both GPU's, RAM, the whteverthebuschipsarecalled etc. with either direct contact or through some little "pillow" thingies you cut out with a scissor and stick to the chips and makes contact with the cooler.
  12. What are your thoughts on the game so far (I've only just started chapter 2, never played it before)? I love the atmosphere of the game. Voice acting is not "BIS/Obsidian/VMBL" quality, but the main characters have a nice, dry way of delivering their lines. If they could just have gotten rid of that "boxed in" feeling of artificial barriers and a one foot high fence that you can't jump over. Environment Gfx are decent and the characters very well made. Sound fx are decent and the ambient music suits the slightly gloomy atmosphere. Combat... well, it's there. The less, the better really. So far, the story has been compelling enough to make for an enjoyable experience. Not having the for crpg's so archetypical glitches of course helps too on the overall impression of a polished game
  13. Guys... this is the spoiler section If you want to beat the dead horse of which Bio game is better/worser/other compared to other bio/non-bio games, I am sure that there is plenty of rooms in other threads.
  14. I suppose people can't be funny all the time. That was indeed a failed attempt.
  15. No, they decided to implement Lute Hero instead. Didn't they already have that in NWN2 with that guy at the Blacklake District? I always ended up cheating and make his life very miserable I think he's talking about . Is that a spoof on the "guitar hero" games? I've heard about them, but never seen any of them.
  16. Good luck! Its a fun game, but completely unpredictable crashes can make even fun games a bit of a chore. AT lest in Oblivion I learned there were certain areas would have a tendency to cause a crash and could pretty much restirct my saving to just before I entered that area. In The WItcher, the crashes can just happen anywhere for no obvious reason. I just finished chapter one in The Witcher EE. Not a single crash so far. I hope that is/was a feature of the non-EE version
  17. Never really had much trust in stock markets. I always felt that I might as well gamble in casino.
  18. Nah, Adelaide, South Australia. The dryest and hottest place in summer Edit: And we have daylight savings too. Queensland hasn't. Hence my comment about sometimes being half an hour after, sometimes half an hour ahead. They are GMT+10, we are GMT+9.5
  19. Now, this may have been your subtle point, but I fail to see how that simplifies it. http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/sarcasm One state wanted to keep it simple, others not. Overall, the total lack of simplicity is greater than the sum of it's parts
  20. No, they decided to implement Lute Hero instead. Didn't they already have that in NWN2 with that guy at the Blacklake District? I always ended up cheating and make his life very miserable
  21. You still had to chose your markets though, by assigning them priorities. When I compete on 20+ markets, you bet I don't pause the game all the time to check if they are all filled up according to my desires. I notice when competing constantly fail in a place, because the number of merchants is constantly low or even dimishing despite me sending merchants there. Then I go check the market to see what has changed and what I am up against. Usually a foreign market where the controller has gained monopoly (and your compete chance is 1% against the monopoly holder). You can then either give it lower priority (make sure your merchants get sent to more profitable areas) or drop it completely from your list of destinations... or conquer the territory and make it domestic market Ok, now I almost owe a screenshot.
  22. To simplify it, some Australian states don't use daylight saving. So those you used to be half an hour behind, you are now half an hour ahead of
  23. And what in the new system prevents you from using strategy in distributing your merchants?
  24. Honestly, vanilla EU3 needed the addition of the "Autosend Merchants" option in Napoleon's Ambition badly. Either that or leave it out completely. The mechanism was not suited for a more than a few markets at best.
  25. I know this thread is derailing pretty fast...
