What WE want to be Delaware Project
But first you have to make a name for yourself in the markets where the money is. I was tempted to say casual gamers, but thats not quite true. The biggest spending power is teenage girls, we would get the Rpg... But the second largest spender are bored teens with too much pocket money. Once you get a pipeline into that and secure an income (too avoid eviction notices f.x.) you can start dreaming about what you really want to do. Somehow, I trust Obsidian to actually create something, even an old PS:T fan like me would appreciate. According to EGM, they are not spending more time than absolutely necessary on the engine itself (quickslots/hotkeys, yipee), that would leave helluva lot of time for things like additional animations, models, powers, skills etc. not to mention plot and story, which used to be the strong point of old BIS B)

Whatever happened to.......?
Lets see... You are the only remaining (lightside) Jedi in the universe. So Bastila, Jolee and Juhani are probably dead or turned Darkside. The walking carpet went back Kashyyk. Mission is either dead or on Kashyyk harvesting Tach glands for Griff to pay off his debt. Hk-47 got deactivated or is currently testing old "protocols" for his new and old master. Carth is hanging around in the Cantina on Tattooine, getting drunk and feeling very sorry for himself. Canderous joind the universal peace-movement (make love, not war) T3 said something about: "I'll be back!" with heavy Californian governour accent Did I forget any ? :D

Whatever happened to.......?
It might be a bit difficult as the fate of some of them were determined by the players actions. I know at least at couple of Jedi's, a thief and a wookies lifespan was cut short by me in half the games I played. They seemed to emphasize in the interview, that the choices you made in Kotor1 should have as little impact as possible in Kotor2, Thats probably why you get T3, His dialogue is easier to quote in the sequel

Worst war movie youve watched?
Thats a tough one. Most of the war movies out there, are unrealistic, war-glorifying crap. It's almost easier to mention some actor names and stereotypical plots, than list the 22314 worst war movies Names like John Wayne, Sylvester Stallone, Van Damme, the individual against the rest of the world and the individiual wins idiocy. Well, to get back off topic, my favourie hate movie would be... damn, can't even remember the exact title of the disaster anymore, I think it was "USS Nimitz" about a modern carrier that gets sucked through a hole in time and space and ends up in 1941. All foreplay building up to a never happening climax

Maya or 3ds?
But true none the less. When I was young and green and went to the university, we started out learning a fairly structured language (Modula2) first, simply to have a starting point. And it was really just that, a common ground for students to learn what was much more important, the underlying mechanisms of programming. Things like syntax, semanthics, parsers, specification and verification of algorithms. Later in A&D, it was pretty much the same. Learn a methology for problem solving and you can use it to solve a multitude of problems. Once you understand the basic theory in general, learning any new language/platform or analysing any given situation was trivial. Same thing probably applis to many other professions, once you get a "feel" for and an intuitive understanding of your work, changing tools is just that, new tools. Oh, and my nostalgic rambling sidetracked me, same thing probably applies to 3D applications as well. Once you know the basics, Nurbs, UV space, the math, an understanding of the physics of light and surfaces, materials etc. The application becomes a simple tool to express your thoughts.

recommended schools for programming
AI is a cool thing to study, both from an interest point and from a job security point Its application ranges from pathfinding algorithms in games (*cough*Bioware*cough*) to working on Defence contracts, where a friend of mine ended up working for a while after university. I know from personal experience that the subject is addictive as h**l to work with. But as somebody might have guessed from my questions, I'm completely unfamiliar with the educational system where you live

I'm a developer. Our team designs and develop software for corporations, ERP systems, E-commerce, stuff like that. Not as glamorous as game development, but it makes for a decent living

What time is it?
Does that really matter ? Working in the software industry for an age has its fringe benefits

Developer Diary ?
Once the cat is out of the sack, as to what game and which publisher etc... Will there be some kind of "How it came to be" or "This is what we were doing the last couple of days" topic here ? Or will the announcement not be made before the game has gone gold, and no outside influence will intrude upon the game whatsoever ?

What time is it?
Its later now... Just had some interesting visitors at work tonight. Oscar winner Randy Cook showed up with a couple of friends and the three Oscars he got. Won one the last three years for special effects in LOTR movies. Also worked on movies like Fright Night, Ghostbusters and 2010. Now I can brag about having put my greasy fingerprints on no less than three oscars Once I get sober, I might be able to figure out how to put a picture in a message to show my ugly mugshot with a Oscar in my hands and Mr. Cook at my side B)

It must be love, obsession, whatever- recommended schools for programming
Funny, I always though of game design as an artform. Either you had it, or you didn't (I dont ) . A bit like a painter, either you have talent or you don't. A painter can learn to improve his technique through instruction and practise, but the technique is only a tool. Question: What do they actually teach students in such courses, apart from the technical aspects ? Or is it all tools for the student to figure out how to use ?- How do I convert a WAV file to an mp3?
Tell me about it Some good adware and popup killer software is a must these days. *Sigh* Sorry, can't really be any serious help there. Not really into the mp3 thing. Too lazy... I just buy what I need B)- How do I convert a WAV file to an mp3?
Yes About a zillion products (give or take a few) Most are commercial products though (searh for "wav to mp3" on google) I'm not sure, but Tucows might have some for downloading. Haven't checked the place in ages though.- Good Bye Interplay Boards
Yes and yes I'm from Denmark and live in Wellington, NZ I just happens to like the place (I'm a well paid tourist) - What time is it?
