You are now Llyranors new best friend http://forums.obsidian.net/index.php?showt...mp;hl=lollipops
  2. I've never heard anybody complain about Lara Croft being a woman in Tomb Raider. It would just feel "odd" somehow if the next installment let you play as Larry Croft
  3. It seems like the point of no return for this thread has been reached How about a recess, a cold shower, a deep breath, we are after all talking about video games, not infant mortality in Africa or some such?
  4. VTM: Bloodlines. Ouch... That game is horribly unoptimised. I used to have a P4 2.8Ghz / Nvidia FX5900 Ultra / 2Gb ram desktop, and it was sluggish on that one. It might be possible to get it to run, but I doubt that it will run at a playable speed, i.e. it might not be fun.
  5. Edit: After that, it would probably be Battlefield 1942
  6. Did a bit of background check on "Tali" in ME. Sounds a bit like a Battlestar Galactica season ripoff Machines created for menial work rebels, wage war on their creators and oust them, creating a migrant fleet.
  7. Listen to the expert. Shryke, you should give dating lessons Just to be on-topic: ... (impending doom deadlines, i've got no life at the moment).
  8. I wonder if there are keyboards with built-in force feedback around too...
  9. Shooting a bow and arrow takes skill and practise/training. Any peasant can be given a crossbow and told to point it *that* way while pulling the trigger...
  10. It would be nice to go to PAX... but its a bit of a geographical challenge
  11. I prefer to play without the traditional lucky nations... Busy building up my Byzantine Empire so I can get back at the Franks and get revenge for the infamous crusade. There is a way of removing pirates once you get fed up with them (if you don't mind fiddling around a bit with your save file)
  12. First I'll see if pruning the threads from this page onwards helps. If that fails, then indeed ponder whether or not this thread (and topic in general) has outlived its usefulness. It did after all start out as a communication thread. Nothing much useful information to communicate anymore by the looks of it. (pruning started)
  13. Maybe we should start talking about The Black Hound. That always seems to take Ramza's mind off other things
  14. One of the greatest shocks of moving "down under" was seeing how much of the stuff on the shelves had "Made in China" on them I had never seen something like that before, thinking that the Aussies (and Kiwis too for that matter) had completely forgotten how to manufacture anything but red wine
  15. Ouch, never touch a dwarfs beard. In Warhammer, one of the most famous (and devastating) conflicts was known as "The War of the Beard" >_ @Amentep: Syringe of Vampire slaying?!?...
  16. ...and I think that is enogh cross forum arguments for one thread >_
  17. Not to mention, that it features some great swamps >_
  18. I have both now (for my PC). Some of those games developed for console first, ported late, are easier to navigate with that little lump of twisted plastic called Xbox360 (Genuine Microsoft Advantage ®) controller
  19. He could stick his tongue on it and see if it tastes "funny"
  20. I am way older than that, and still love the first two SW movies. Return of the Jedi was the beginning of the end for me (darn muppet show that it was), but I still bought the 3 DVD's with the original cinematic versions despite them being less than perfect transfers to DVD... and being Force Fed (pun unintended) the digitally mistreated versions on the same disks. I'll keep them locked up in a safe place so that I can always prove that Han shot first
  21. I wonder if it is worth the effort, but I pruned the last part of the thread a bit. Disappointing to see otherwise bright individuals getting trigger happy and confrontational when certain subjects come up. Lets see if we can do it without the personal insults?
  22. Bioware is part of the EA family now. You guys keep forgetting that it's all a question of what LA wants to do with their IP, not what developers around the world would like to do with it. LA wants maximum return of investment. I think most people guessed a few years ago where it was headed, when Bioware had established a MMO studio in Austin (2006) and a joint domain name featuring Bioware and LucasArts was registered (2007). I don't think they want something that would detract players from paying monthly subscription fees, it wouldn't make sense Maybe after it has established itself and found it's level of activity, spin off games might be considered.
  23. That was my experiences with replacing the cooling on an ATI 4970x2 too. Just make sure you keep track of all those darn little screws and have some thermal paste handy before starting I cheated a bit and read the instruction pamphlet that came with the cooling though.
  24. I think he meant the OCR software Most scanners come with some bundled OCR software. Do you already have a scanner? Try google for free ocr software.
  25. Gorth replied to ramza's topic in Skeeter's Junkyard
In my experience, yes. You are more likely to have issues with newer gfx cards and/or vista, which you would probably also have in 32 bit versions, than you are with the 64 bit architecture. The only exception is if you try to run software so old that it is 16/32 bit hybrid products. No 16 bit windows support if I understood it correctly (when digging around for reasons that my Moo2 installer didn't work).
