  1. There are several ways of interpreting that, not all of them positive I loved BG2, BG1 wasn't too shabby either. Some day, I might be able to identify why I like BG2 so much. Edit: Kotor was a fun enough game too for its time. Can't say much about Bethesda, too unfamiliar with their games in general. What little I tried didn't get me "hooked"
  2. Uwe Boll is the anti-matter of directing. His negative skill can overpower even the strongest talent. It takes something to come up with an average imdb rating of 2.4 for 14 movies
  3. What you are saying is: dishonesty, hypocrisy and stupidity goes hand in hand
  4. Thats the date where CERN finally manage to collide some very large hadrons
  5. Getting a bit on the long side... continued here
  6. Fourth episode... Start of previous thread End of previous thread Russian developer? Cool. Or not? I still remember what they did to Heroes of Might and Magic
  7. They made it harder to maintain a large empire in EU III, as the cost of surviving means you have to tax your peasanst hard, leading to constant unrest and rebeillion (and secessions, new independent states etc.). Having a large standing army to hang the peasants leads to more cost, more unrest etc.
  8. You've probably picked up quite a BB (Bad Boy) rating. If it exceeds your threshold, everybody hates you and declares war on you continously. You have effectively become a pariah by then, that everybody, even tiny nations feels obliged to wipe off the map Edit: I managed to beat France as Byzans, but it took a superhuman effort. I had numerical superiority, but the different tech levels makes quite a difference (I was "Eastern", France was "Latin").
  9. Somehow, it always ends up being a game of surviving against France (aka BBB of Death) >_ Addictive indeed. I've got mixed feelings about the expansions. Most of the stuff they add is good, but micromanaging sea patrols to fend off pirates is about as fun as micromanaging merchants in the unexpanded game. I.e. not very. Overall great fun and a time sink. Edit: I've tried conquering most of the world as Russia (started out as Muscowy) and The Byzantine Empire. Maybe I shuld try going for German or Italian unification some day.
  10. I wonder if the end of the world is trademarked? If not, I could register it and start a "End of The World" ® franchising business, licensing it out to all those who wants end of world events >_
  11. I would love to see a Lexx crpg. Unfortunately, there is unlikely to be a market for it
  12. The only time I'll take a special interest in Dolphins is when they pack up and leave with the message 'So long and thanks for all the Fish'
  13. The only two I can remember having is NWN2 (with map, metal rings etc.) and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. SoC which also came with maps, extras discs and packed in a metal lunch box. I used to have quite a few, including Ultima IV (with a cloth map of Britannia and a little Ankh) for my C64 and Amiga though. I wonder where they went... Edit: I got the Icewind Dale ultimate compilation, but the "extras" are not on print, rather it's the sound track on a music cd and strategy guides in pdf format
  14. Except it isn't really Obsdians decision to make? Atari are the ones who has to have the desire (and money) to make it, since they have the publication rights and investment power and WotC/Hasbro owning the IP has the final word on it.
  15. Your ears receive the sound, not generate it. Thats not answering the original question, is it? Oops. Yes, it does make a sound, even if no one's there to hear it. Does the process of listening to the sound change the observed event? Would the tree have fallen if you hadn't listened for it? Unless you stand where the tree is falling, no. Yes, it would have. Prove it (been reading too much Einstein/Bohr debates recently after Schroedingers birthday a few days ago)

  17. Is 'yip' a real word?!?
  18. Seems like we have reached to rock throwing and tongue wagging phase... maybe it is time for a break? It is possible (I've seen it with my own eyes once) to disagree without getting personal. Disagreeing good, makes for creativity, getting personal bad, kills creativity
  19. I don't like DLC But that is just one opinion
  20. It was wishful thinking on his part. He got lucky
  21. Still gestanden...
  22. Just pull a George Bush evasive maneuver on the shoe.
  23. Who said I had any qualms? I was just cleaning out some old browser bookmarks and remembered this thread when I got to this one. For all I care, wars could be fought entirely amongst the robots
