Start of old thread End of old thread Went shopping for protective motorcycle gear on the Saturday. A bit of a challenge since I use size xxl in just about everyting, from boots to gloves I guess next up is some saddle bags.

I downloaded the demo and tried it out for half an hour... not a bad start Of course, the rest of the game may be crap, but the beginning is fun enough. Luckily my German hasn't gotten too rusty over the years.

Started a new game of EU III, this time as Milan. Conquered most of the italian peninsula and is just waiting for time to pass so Ancona can turn into one of my core provinces (and my bad boy rating go down to reasonable levels again) so I can form the Italian Nation. Then Italy shall rule the world! Picked up War in the Pacific again, having another go at the tutorials. I had started on that previously, but Real Life

Dig Dug was a great game... on the C64 Didn't know it existed on other platforms.

For those of us who like wargames, empire building, management etc. type games, "complex" might (or might not) be synonymous with "level of detail". I.e. how much do you, the player have control over vs. how much does the game streamline away from you. Not the worlds best description and it might only fit my little world, but at least I am feudal king there >_

Depends on who your intended new target audience is. Do you intend to replace the fan base with every new release? Every third release? Everytime you get a new CEO? Everytime the old fan base reminds you of what created the fan base in the first place? Is it profit maximizing or performance anxiety?

MS WERD + occasional flowcharts usually. Sometimes with a little photoshop/illustrator work over screenshots or drawings. l33t skillz of da designer! No Excel spread sheet? But you guys are like producers and have special Excel powers! Excel can be a dangerous tool in the hands of the wrong people... Wasn't there something about Icewind Dale 2 and missing Armours in the released version of the game?

I can recommend New Zealand. Not that far away either ...otherwise the Mediterranean. Sicily is interesting, as is some of the Greek islands.

I've bought a single game there. Not enough to base an opinion on The game was EUIII complete with expansions. I had bought the game without the expansions previously on a disc and the only difference was that some large, unessential intro movies with company logo etc. seems to have been cut to save bandwidth. Decent download speed, giving me the option to save the downloaded install file for backup.

Maybe try meditative techniques next time

If the developer absolutely have to wrest control away from the player, they might as well just make a short, well made cut scene if they can't explain things in-game. I am not *that* attention challenged and feel rather insulted when being presented by a big blue arrow telling me that I have to press a button pointing in a particular direction. Depending on the pace, the work that goes into any cinematics is wasted as all you pay attention to is those 4th wall breaking icons flashing on your screen.
