It's an old-skool take on early cyberpunk, so it's more crunchy than the later stuff. In the RPG (PnP) you had some genuinely cool character builds and the setting was pretty cool. The closest thing I've played was an old thing on my Commodore Amiga a few lifetimes ago called "Bloodnet". Featuring Vampires and cyberpunky stuff. Fun game, even if it kicked my butt with stupid encounters I couldn't win in time. Always regretted not finishing it. Had some fancy (for its time) crafting options (called "Jury Rigging" or some such)

Ugh. I hate to say that things were better in the days of old, but things like this forces me to draw such conclusions... It must be a mistake. I didn't spot a single roleplaying game on the list. It's all mmo or fighting/beat-em up games I suddenly feel all warm and fuzzy for having supported Wasteland 2.

I normally don't follow the news on observations (damn peeping toms), but when a project gets ambitious enough in scale, you know somebody somewhere is serious about taking a look at something. What? On 2k's website, it's classified as 'shooter' You do know that there are two (2) XCOM games, right? The one from 2K Marine (shooter), and the one from Firaxis (TB strategy).
