EB Expo discussion
Gorth replied to imaginationflyingmachine's topic in South Park: The Stick of Truth: General Discussion
Sadly, it looks like most information at the moment is for "invitee's" only -
I'm playing a dual wielding rogue. I almost always prefer to play rogues in my games.

Why am I thinking about buxom dwarven maids in dirndls serving humongous beer steins for dwarwen patrons in lederhosen now? Edit: I suppose the obvious answer is, it's Oktober now.

Eat smart, eat brains! Hmm, I remember playing a rogue like (Angband?) 20 years ago that did that. Killing a monster would show you it's name. As you killed more and more of them, you would learn more, like average HP, strengths, weaknesses etc. Was quite fun and a feature I've missed in modern games like the IE games. -
No problem, I could edit your previous post and add spoiler tags so I can't see the text... oh wait.

Isabella... as in the duellist in DA:O?

Hey, I'm so open minded that friends sometimes makes jokes about being "too drafty in the attic" First impressions. I still don't like the combat (which was what turned me off in the demo originally). The setting I'm a bit indifferent to and the change in art direction doesn't bother me. Some of the companions are hilarious, I think I'm going to like Varric (sp?) and I like the occasional understated humour in the story. Only got the first 3 recruited yet though, I suspect Merrill (which I remember from the Dalish origin in DA:O, where she was fussing over a mirror that Duncan destroyed) has moved to the city, so I can probably also get her in my party now. Not sure if I want to swap out my sister for her though.

Question about the kickstarter
Gorth replied to BR4ZIL's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
Moved to Project Eternity section. From the Known Information Thread "Confirmed by Kickstarter update #4, a DRM-free version is being offered in conjunction with GOG. At the end of the Kickstarter campaign, you will be able to choose between a GOG or Steam key." Mentioned elsewhere, you will be contacted through the email you used for Paypal/Kickstarter to answer a "survey" type thing about where to send stuff etc. -
Hmm, I remember those aliens, but then I play with the wild wasteland trait (or whatever that one is called)

Well, I was raised on strategy games and turnbased crpgs, so... I could just about hold my ground in the old Unreal Tournament, but I'm no Gorth the Slaughterer when it comes to FPS and twitch games, I'll probably bring a gun or two

500$ Reward - Memorial Stone

I wonder how people around here knows the epic fight between Eric and the Dread Gazebo? -
This. On the other hand, it makes perfect sense to start development while the base game is "wrapping up" and you can get the same artists, writers, coders etc. to work on the expansion to ensure that it feels coherent with the base game, including placing whatever hooks needs to be in the base game.

Although rumour has it that Zaeed makes a bigger appearance in the upcoming "Omega" dlc... Also, I have to admit I liked the change of pace of Kasumi's mission (at least , the first section which wasn't run n gun). Really? I haven't been following. Bigger chance of being surprised when something does get released, I guess... Well, I better stay clear of too in-depth spoilers regarding the DLC's but I got Kasumi, Overlord, Lair of the Shadobroker and Genesis for ME2. Since I had my CC out anyway, I got DA2 (Urgh) and Mark of the Assassin and Legacy anyway. Somebody needs to tell Bioware/EA that their online store is lacking. Why Can't I buy an arbitrary (or just a larger number) of their in-store currency??? Didn't get to play any games yesterday as it was all work (so my computer was just left downloading my purchases).

This 'Dishonored' thing is starting to intrigue me. May have to keep a closer eye on it Regarding reviews, I stopped taking them seriously when C64 game reviews were still printed on paper. Usenet (and later forums) turned out to give me a better overview of games.

I don't understand people who play COD. Maybe it's just as well. Give me something like Quake 2 or Painkiller for the action bits
