SW: The Old Republic - Episode VI (The Old Menace)
My Nar Shaddaa place is starting to shape up a bit. Haven't had much time to Play (any game at all) the last month. A bit proud of resisting the urge to just reach the 100% completion asap. Not even halfway there, trying to put a bit of effort into it and not just fill all hooks with kolto Barrels and wall lamps. Started to gear up my new Level 55 marauder girl a bit. That is, currently wearing a bunch of Hand me downs from my dps jugg and some won greed rolls from hardmode flashpoints. Earning her own ultimate coms now though. On the other faction side, my smuggler, aptly named 'Gorth' is halfway through Level 54 and approaching 55 fast. Not putting too much effort into the gearing anymore though, holding my breath and see if the rumours of Level cap increases are true. If so, will that mean yet another gear Inflation (last one not even 6 months old or so)?

What are you playing now?
Trying my hand a bit on Risen 2 and Skyrim.

Scottish Independence?
So, are the English planning to secede from the Union next?
-
Scottish Independence?
It sort of works that way in Australia. It's effectively made up of a number of City states with a large percentage of the population living in those state capitals. Of course, the people of Cornwall are going to be mortally offended that you left them out Edit: I took a look at Gromnirs link regarding DNA mapping of the People in the UK. Interesting reading

Scottish Independence?
The Anglo Saxons were replaced by the French. Later mixed with immigrants from the days of Empire (Indians, Africans, Scots, Irish etc.). The monarchy is German. I don't think such a thing as an "Englishman" really exists outside of fairytales and romance literature.

BGEE: Indira Lightfoot and Her Bad Band
I've only completed the game thrice or so, but I always got mauled badly by Greywolf In the end, I decided some emeralds are just too hard earned

Boys will be boys on the internet (<- sarcasm)
A bloody shame that I already got a signature...

BGEE: Indira Lightfoot and Her Bad Band
I don't think it's an exact science Personal theory, it's like a rock band or a sports team that for a short while get together and create something where the total is greater than the sum of its parts. Nobody can really explain while it is so and attempts at recreating it always ends up at attempts at recreating it. Maybe it's just the right People in the right place at the right time doing the right things. I think you just answered your own question. There are probably some less known games out there that does, but none spring to mind immediately.

RTS games!
I've tried a number of rts games, but most weren't really my thing. Only ones i liked so far were the original Age of Empires and the Infinity Engine games. I guess I belong to the club of frantic click-fest haters and like playing them like a slightly sped up strategy/tactics game rather than a 2D action game.

Lets discuss Game Balance in RPG design and how it affects PoE

BGEE: Indira Lightfoot and Her Bad Band
I don't care what Resolution those old IE games have, there is something about their graphics and visual style that is unique. I miss them so much (ugly warts, tiling and wonky avatar animations included) Nice story telling so far

Just moved to Denmark. Now what?
Nice to see another Scandinavia and the World fan

What are you playing now?
Warlock 2: The The Exiled. Despite more options, races etc. I'm not really sure if the game itself is more "fun" than the original. Something about the Balance, encounter designs, such as they are when randomly generated, feels off. Hard to explain.

What you did today
After a Long and valiant fight against the system, my presence has finally been officially acknowledged and my current Location accepted as being the place i actually live. Germans may recognise the term "Anmeldepflicht". I now live officially in Berlin and can say I'm also a Berliner. Now for a bank account, medical insurance and a Tax ID number. Well... Rome wasn't built in a day (old proverb where i come from)

Ukraine discussion
I know you meant it sarcastically, but don't underestimate the human need for identity and to belong to something. The Feeling of vulnerability and insecurity following a sudden Stripping away of identity as well as the time until you start building a new identity is very real. People are funny like that sometimes, preferring the devil they know over the ones their imagination create.

SW: The Old Republic - Episode VI (The Old Menace)
You need to work a bit more on that vanity of yours, it's underdeveloped I haven't unlocked all rooms on Tattooine, but the Nar Shaddaa place and the two capital world places are unlocked. Didn't really get anything done about it yesterday as the west coast Servers seems to be fubar stability wise at the Moment. Decided to try out rolling a low Level character on each of Shadowlands (east coast) and Red Eclipse (europe), just to try out the lag times. Red Eclipse almost brought a tear to my eyes with lag of only 80ms. Haven't seen that since the 45ms on the late Apac servers (on a good day, i usually get around 280-300ms on Begeren and Harbinger).

SW: The Old Republic - Episode VI (The Old Menace)
Got myself some nice new homes on Coruscant, Dromund Kaas, Tattooine and Nar Shaddaa. Currently only the energy and time to start "decorating" my vacation retreat on Nar Shaddaa. I guess i have to do more HM FP's again as well as OPS to grab some more stuff to hang in my hallways as trophies.

What you did today
Arrived in Berlin. Got myself a temporary roof over my head and had my first day in the new work place. I'm probably not going to relax properly and kick back until I got a more permanent arrangement though. Time to start hunting those web pages and see what's available in the the general area. You have to admire the German system... you are required by law to register yourself as living somewhere within 14 days. You need an appointment at the relevant authorities. You can't get an appointment any sooner than 30 days. I think I'll go down and visit them tomorrow and ask how the heck that is supposed to work

Dragon Age: Inquisition vs. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
Didn't vote. Neither game's predecessors have made them "must have" games. I loved Witcher 1 yet couldn't bring myself to bother with Witcher 2. One of those games that is going to hog HDD space never to get played again most likely. Story didn't live up to the first game, combat was awful and the UI horrible, just horrible. At least i managed to play through Dragon Age 1 and 2, although the latter tried very hard to shoo me away with an encounter design that was... not sure what. Intended to chase away players from future games? Never mind that the combat system was just plain boring and a major let down from the first game. So two franchises with decent first entries and sequels that tried very hard to give sequels a bad name. Makes me very apprehensive about a sequel to the sequel for both games

What you did today
Staying in a hotel room at the moment. Removal guys have picked up all my stuff and filled a container with it, ready to ship it overseas. Cleaners will appear tomorrow and give the place a makeover and Monday I'm handing over the keys to the landlord. Wednesday I'll be on a plane to Europe Just sitting here. customising my new laptop and after 30 minutes I already hate Windows 8.1 passionately. I need to find some of those UI improvement tools, this is just bad. Very, very bad.
