if i recall correclty goto did something to that remote droid so it couldnt activate the shadow engine, the exile was supposed to give the signal to destroy the place, and from what goto said it didnt sound like he was going to allow that to happen.

really? all i remember is the core room collapsing as kreia died. when they were flying away malachor still looked just as intact as it did when u landed, thats not saying much lol but still it didnt look like there was any big explosion. maybe im just having a huge brain fart though.

my biggest complaint is how bao dur seems to be dead or something and the 2 droids are left on malachor V with no explanation of what happens there. its like they tottally forgot to fill that part in. and i dont remember but i think kreia spoke of bao dur's future so he must have been alive yet for some reason he had to use the holocron type thing programmed into his droid to tell him what to do. i dont understand that part at all. also i hope the next game is on a whole new system, its obvious they cant make a challenging boss on this d20 system or whatever the hell it is, im no rpg fanatic but i loved kotor and i love this game but its just so pathetically easy. i mean nihilus,sion,kreai they all die in 2 hits, its pathetic. rant over.

yes, i didnt notice any new stances at all. and the new master flurry with a single sabre looks really stupid, he just does a swirling like thing vertically. really stupid. i think all the talk of lightsabre forms and stances were just a huge gimmick. the new forms only change ur ability with the sabre in situations, no visual changes at all. atleast none that i noticed from my first playthrough with a single sabre.

the punishment for failing in the caves isnt death, the darkside taints you. think empire strikes back.

i didnt get anywhere with anyone really, i got a few influence points every now and then but everytime i try to talk to them i just get the same damn dialog options over and over and no chance to gain influence, it was especially hard with handmaiden. i took her everywhere with me cause i wanted her to become my apprentice, i did nothing but good things and she talked about it but i got no influence with her. i didnt learn her name till after i beat atris and i never got her to become a jedi/padawan.i got an option to offer her to learn from me about halfway through the game but she said something like she would have to think about it. and thats as far as i ever got, same dialog options from there on out and no more influence. pissed me off.

were they're even any hooded robes besides kreias? i played through and didnt notice any. i thought there was supposed to be some in this game. and were they're any jedi master robes? all i found was jedi knight and it wasnt even as good as that ugly brown robe from the queens palace.

i think i got the chassis off the hk50 droids that attacked me on nar shadda when t3 was in voggas wharehouse.

HD: kotor1,doom3,halflife2,farcry,hl1,cs,cs:s,vampire:bloodlines,nbalive2005 xbox: kotor1,madden2005,espnnba2k5,fable,ninja gaiden,shenmue2 ps2: mgs3,gta:sa,gta3,gta:vice city,gran turismo3 replaying hl2 right now, best game ive ever played. wish kotor had these graphics. the facial animations alone are amazing

i think whats harder is going from turn based to real time, try playing halfway through ninja gaiden then quitting for a couple months of kotor then come back! im absolutely horrible at it now, i'll never finish that damn game.

by the end of kotor if you chatted up candy he tells you he's not proud of his past and he even has second thoughts about calling himself a mandalorian, why would he change his mind and become the new mandalore? it doesnt make any sense.

i have the exact same setup as you except my cpu is overclocked slightly higher @ 3.4 and i agree kotor1 was not optimized very well. i would get some fairly large fps drops in some outdoor areas and especially when i walk up to a couple speeders. and we're talkin fps drops in the 30's here i dont even drop that far in doom3 hl2 or farcry. hopefully obsidian have tuned it up a little better.
