To be honest I dont think anyone is allowed to write a decent story at blizzard because some people might not get it resulting in 0,05 % less sales.

What about potions, basicaly you can dip your arrows into potions and poisons when you are out of combat giving them bonuses or extra debuffs on hit.

Well "evil" means egoistic and ruthless and not beeing a comic super villian. Every rpg that offers evil choices seems to forget that. Evil parties are the most absurd thing ever, a group of 6 egocentric selflloving sociopath wouldnt be able to form something like a adventurous party in the first place. -
They should advertise the expansion like this "Pillars of eternity now with kill XP"

Yeah that stuff is good stuff you should search for "O'death" and "murder by death" on youtube. Both make rather depressive country maybee its something for you.

Those guys that still say that you dont get xp for doing quest in a certain way act dump on purpose to have a argument and it really starts to get on my nerve. By now EVERYONE that follows the beta knows that theirs a bug that wipes your questlog if you load from ingame and you can avoid it by loading only from the start screen.

I find that complain strange because all those issues he adressed like a door he cant lockpick etc. because if he would truly explored the enviroment he would have found out that their are other ways around those locked doors... he also never bothered to read the bug forum or else he would have known how to avoid the "wiped quest log" bug.

Well I agree that more communication would be nice but on the other hand the "I DEMAND ANSWERS NOW IM IMPORTANT" attitude from some people here is quite obnoxious. I see it this way: The first patch seems to be about bug fixing so its not that important to start discussing all that gameplay jazz.

Can we make a poll to end all polls? Polls are meaningless because you will never get everyone to vote. Usually the group that dislikes the status quo votes and the other one doesnt give a crap.

The indoor/outdoor thing was a "problem" in all the IE games too. Its anoying but imo not that big of a deal. The only really gamebreaking bug without a workaround right now is the missing item bug. -

As fun as those skills sound I doubt anyone will ever use them also this: Drunken master: Beeing plastered gives you +X bonus to might, constitution and dexterity, you have no control over the character in fight. -

Thats awesome and it would fit nicely with having the character icons in the middle which opens up space for the combat log on the left side. -

Many of us do I loved the IE inventories. It's one of the areas that didn't even need a change, although not everyone agrees with that. The most important thing and I guess nobody disagrees on that is that the stash window is way to small, its endless so give us something like 20x30 slots per page. The first page of the stash is full after 15 min into the beta, multiply it with 10+hours of gaming and you have a inventory nightmare. -

This whole "new gamers are impatient and lazy" argument is getting old, especially if people here constantly refer to baldurs gate as "old school" and a big part of this community started playing rpgs with titles like ultima, eye of beholder or wizardry. Using a specific group of people that can be easily used as a scapegoat for a trend that is unpopular by your target audience is nothing more than hollow populism. You could have, you know just said "I personaly prefer this". -
First fighter engages one enemy second one the other and your cypher, druid whatever CC's the one that trys to eat your backline. It would be nice if theirs actually a challange which I cant cheese my way out with kiting a monster endlessly while the rest of my party whacks at it.

This is the best thing they ever did. Those perfect übermensch treehuggers get seriously on my nerves. Its also closer to the scandinavian origin.

Its a tactical dession, you have X quickslots to use stuff instantly or use time using them from your backpack (inventory). A good cRPG gives you enough space to sort your inventory because you easily lost track of those 13434 potions, 213123 scrolls and 3213 magic items. My main problem with the current inventory is the lack of space and pages in the stash. No room for sorting things.

The english version is actually called realms of arcania. I dont know if the english version is a complete overhaul but the original is the cheesiest fantasy PnP RPG setting ever, its so generic and average that it hurts. The forgotten realms in AD&D are a explosion of creativity and weirdness compared to realms of arcania. BTW: Does anyone know why the forgotten realms are forgotten?
