  1. So now what are you going to do?
  2. I can definitely agree with that. Lose the guy and it would be pretty awesome with just the Vegas strip in the distance and the great logo. I see that as well. I guess that guy is bit too generic, maybe? Killzone called, they want their soldier back Oh please, not again. Combat helmet + gas mask is not THAT uncommon. That is really the point, it is generic, as Slowtrain said.

  4. I would say it's typical of the Beth forums. WHich isn't a flame, just an observation on how they prefer their posting activity to be. It's also why I rarely go there. Again, no flame or anything, just an observation. They make their choices and its their right to do so. I'm guessing their forum is a lot bigger and more prone to insanity than in these parts. Hence the reason I also don't go near it.

  6. There should be a zoot suit and a tommy gun.
  7. I'm actually not a fan of the box art. I love the logo, but the guy with the gun doesn't really draw me in. I'd rather see a pip-boy throwing dice at a craps table.
  8. We all agree that the reaction to the US flag on Cinco De Mayo is not a good one, so how can we enact a change there? Because I'm pretty sure throwing it in their faces and saying deal with it is super ineffective.
  9. Dang, it wants me to upgrade to 10.5. I'm still using Tiger.
  10. I don't really see that ever being the case, unless they figure out some way to get super high speed internet to pretty much everyone. I agree that it will be marginalized eventually, but I think we will always have a presence in stores. Music would probably be the first to make the fully digital transition, as a song is a relatively small amount of data and can be downloaded faster than movies or games. But I think there will always be a market for CD's, even if it shrinks considerably. I totally agree that there will most likely be those outside the range of high speed internet for a while still. However, at some point, it won't be financilally worthwhile for publishers to print up and ship a small number of hardcopy games just for those folks. I'm not sayiong iot will happen tomorrow, but within a few years I expect it will be no longer possible to purchase hardcopy games. Music, I think is a little different in that there will always be "audiophiles" who insist on having a piece of music on a piece of plastic. I've never met any "gameophiles" who insist games plays better out of the box then when downloaded. lol. Although I'm sure there are a few. After thinking on it a bit, you are probably right that eventually stores will stop selling hardcopy games. People will probably just order them online if they really want it on DVD's.

Pretty crazy, Montreal has definitely been the Cinderella story of the year.
  12. I hope volourn didn't drive away all the reasonable folks that were part of this discussion.
  13. Then they could have asked for them to remove the bandannas without being unreasonable. However, as far as we know, there was no school-wide policy against wearing flags. They should not have been forced to remove their American flag shirts. And if there were a policy against flags, that would be ridiculous and would warrant discussion by itself. Yep, that's why I said the administrator messed up.

  15. There is a known school policy against wearing bandannas. There are also many schools with uniforms or limited color choices. This debacle will likely lead to more schools moving in that direction. For example, both red and blue are not allowed on my wife's High School campus. They have a heavy gang issue, but the letter of the law means students can't wear US flag regalia.
  16. Welcome to the wonderful world of Volologic, Oblarg. :D
  17. If this was their intent, then there is still the problem with the forum they have chosen for their political stand. Schools have to be very cautious when it comes to political messages. That's why I keep saying the administrator handled this terribly. Instead of opening a dialogue with the students about their intent and how it might be perceived by others, he tried to shame them. There are really three sides to this argument: - The 5 students side - The administrators side - The both sides are wrong side
  18. I just threw up a little.
  19. I wonder whats the percentage of registered hispanic voters. Less than 5%? 1%? It would have been hysterical if this was happening in Arizona and those 200 protesting kids were raided for illegal immigration.
  20. I prefer games that take less time. If a game is over 40 hours, the odds are very slim that I will ever finish it. 20 hours is just about perfect for my money.

Given that I see Pittsburgh as the most dangerous team in the East, I am definitely rooting for Montreal
  22. I believe I used the word punk, and yes the 200 kids who marched are also being punks. Do you really believe these 5 students just innocently showed up with US flag bandanna's and matching T-shirts? They just happened to all coordinate their wardrobes on this day? You have a series of bad decisions being made here. It started when these 5 boys decided to synchronize their clothing on a day of a Mexican Heritage Celebration. All parties should be held accountable.
  23. Llyr sure does sound professional in those videos. They should probably pay you for this stuff.
  24. Although there has been a few signs that customers buy more new games because they can trade in older titles to help pay for it, which is actually good for the publisher.
  25. I started an actual storyline per Wals' request this week. It's Zombie Appreciation Week! Here in the states we use M&M's in our trail mix. Chocolate chips sound a little crazy there. http://www.waltersland.net
