  1. The game was in development for a long time, so no big surprise that a lot of stuff was cut.
  2. CNN is probably the most balanced when it comes to the major US news networks, but that isn't saying a whole lot. Honestly I've never found it that difficult to pick up on media bias. If a story interests me, I check multiple sources to get a good look at it.
  3. Calm down, it's an awareness campaign. Malala has already accomplished a tremendous amount in her young life. I feel extremely lucky that I get to watch her continue to impact the world we live in. Her voice resonates deeply with my students.
  4. Once I found out that you actually have to defeat the main boss three times, I pretty much gave up trying in FTL. I still like exploring the systems.
  5. There is a difference between a conspiracy and a conspiracy theory. Conspiracies happen and are exposed regularly. Conspiracy theories, however, usually ignore the most likely scenarios and often distort the facts to fit a grander scheme. The people that embrace them are typically the naive ones, because they think that large scale subterfuge is something that realistically happens.

  7. I'm playing a Skyrim mod that adds a ton of new areas to the game. It's called Elder Scrolls Online.
  8. Not for you, sure. Not everyone is wired the same way. I take great pleasure in fiddling with the fine details of my character. Heck, I spent a good hour and a half making my last Saints Row 4 character, and had a great time doing it. As long as they include a bunch of presets for people that just want to breeze through character creating to get to boring MMO that much quicker, I see no harm in including a ridiculous amount of sliders for people like myself to tinker with. Oblivion is a terrible example (or anything in that engine.) But a game like Saint's Row turns the character creator into a major feature, with an amazing diversity of looks.
  9. I looked it up, at 5.5% I'd say it's a crime to call it a bourbon beer. Apparently the honey is fairly non-existent as well. I love the idea of a good bourbon beer, but I'm usually too much of a wuss to handle them regularly. The good ones burn going down
  10. ...I see... WHAT? Shock Top is a wheat beer produced by Budweiser, which is pretty decent. I'd imagine a honey bourbon variant would be a bit sweeter in taste, with maybe a higher alcohol content. But considering it is Budweiser, I'm guessing it is still pretty low on the bourbon beer scale.
  11. Raithe, I'd say if the kid really wants to be a model, then the classes are not going to hurt, but she should understand that it is simply going to prepare her to pursue opportunities. These academies or whatever they call them are churning out a lot of kids, but it is up to the individual to do the legwork and go after jobs, and there is going to be a fair amount of rejection during the audition process. I wouldn't drop down a ton of money either.
  12. Bethesda Softworks is the publisher of ESO. The developer is Zenimax Online Studios, and it was established solely to create ESO. They both operate under Zenimax Media. They all operate closely with one another, both in terms of proximity and the fact they are sharing an IP. All of that is just a drawn out way of saying it is not a big deal to call them Bethesda or Zenimax. There is a bigger difference between the two Bioware studios, and for simplicity sake I still just call them Bioware.
  13. It wasn't made by Bethesda. If it walks like a duck and talks like a duck Feel free to use the name ZeniMax, nobody else does.
  14. Stranger than Fiction is one of my favorite movies, for sure.
  15. I've also had a bad cough for about a week. It has gone through my whole family, but I have a history of asthma so the wheezing was bad enough to send me to the clinic. I figured I needed a new prescription for my inhaler anyways. The clinic I go to is awesome. They are super quick with walk-ins, they charge a reasonable rate, and the service is great. They also seem to have a thing for hiring hot Russian doctors. I've been helped by this older Russian female doctor before, but this time she had a student doctor shadowing her that was also gorgeous. It was hilariously distracting. They also had me fill out a survey and then gave my $5. So I walked out with cash and a few prescriptions for an inhaler and codiene cough syrup. Yay for me.
  16. Oh wow, Community did an entire episode in the GI Joe universe. http://www.hulu.com/watch/617546
  17. So the Royals really play in Missouri?
  18. Offering your company on walks or more healthy lunches is probably as far as you want to push it. Just letting her know she has your support is all that is necessary.
  19. Bethesda did an amazing job with the graphical range on this game. On my beefy home PC it looks like Skyrim, and on my puny work laptop it looks like Daggerfall. It runs smoothly on both too. I'm starting to get the hang of the combat, it can be a bit frenetic and I've had some pretty tough fights so far. It has been hard for me to see when to block and interrupt. My level 10 tank still feels pretty powerful though, but I'm finally starting to use potions here and there.
  20. Lord of the Rings Online. It's pretty amazing how well that game has held up graphically after 7 years. My kids have been playing it a lot, they love just running around the Shire and Bree lands exploring.
  21. Am I the only one playing this? Blacksmithing seems to be pretty hard to improve, but I guess that should be expected. I'm having a blast exploring, just like with most ES games. I played my first public dungeon and it was a lot of fun. I got whooped by a deadra lord early on, but with some patience and a few more buddies I was able to finish him off my second go around. I'm really happy with the amount of quests where you can pretty much avoid combat altogether.
  22. It shouldn't be surprising, there are a lot of sports where large fellows thrive. Linemen in football are huge and it seems to be a prerequisite in bowling
  23. Prince Fielder is a dominant big guy Pablo Sandoval hit 3 home runs in a World Series opener.
