  1. Have you used the new teleport and transport stuff in Conan Exiles? I'm not far enough in to have seen it, but I was assuming that would swap the reliance on the map room a bit.
  2. Oh. Pretty sure this goes back to my dumb hit pieces on the internet theory. As I have said before, Amazon is already in deep on this IP, they are not Netflix, and they have said nothing to indicate they will be ending this series early. That being said, they aren't even slated to come out with season 2 for another year.
  3. These dumb hit pieces on RoP are so weird. "Here is a statistic that looks bad when we remove most of the context, gasp!" Netflix doesn't even report most numbers. What does 37% total out to? If a tree falls in the forest, but only one person hears it, but they listen to the whole noise, does it get renewed?
  4. I don't think Draymond goes anywhere, for better or worse. He is a Warrior for life. There is a lot of outside noise about him, but the organization knows what he means to the dynasty.
  5. I'm still in love with my hydrogen car, a 2021 Toyota Mirai, a year and a half into owning it. Hydrogen prices have risen, which is an issue, but I'm still using the free fuel card (I think it has another $5k on it.) It drives like a dream. I just hit 30k miles on it and maintenance has been a breeze. I've driven it to Southern California a handful of times with no issues.
  6. Yep, 12 and 15, so they can take something if they need it. But honestly they will probably be fine. I'm the one that will be a mess.
  7. Man, I remember I had to replace my son's and it was painfully expensive. I don't know when they changed the policy in the US, but I felt ripped off.
  8. On Saturday I'm taking the whole family on a flight to Atlanta, Georgia. We are celebrating my mom's 70th birthday. My parents and sister have lived in Georgia for about 7 years, but this is my first visit. I'm excited to see the family, but I'm a bit concerned about the flight. My kids have never actually flown, and I haven't flown in about 10 years. Last time I flew I got a terrible sinus headache that lasted for most of the flight. So yeah, I hope my brain doesn't explode and I hope my kids do alright.
  9. Most of the changes started in the minors before they were brought up to the Show.
  10. <placeholder post to acknowledge Melkathi when he posts something postworthy>
  11. Conan Exiles - My new base and thralls are coming along well. The sorcerer stuff is exciting. You aren't throwing fireballs or anything crazy like that, but you can do some pretty interesting things with it. It also adds a good deal of lore and story to the game. I'm excited to get the teleporter stuff up and running, so I can start a new base is a better spot. Right now I'm near all the early game stuff, which is good, but I am almost ready to move on.
  12. Ah yes, that time Jesus came down from his gaudy gold tower to face Pontius Pilate. I guess Stormy Daniels needs to play up the Mary Magdelene angle in her next film.
  13. Wartales comes out on April 12th. I'm already playing it and enjoying all of the new stuff, but I'll probably restart when 1.0 drops. It's like Battle Brothers with legs, although it has more storyline and is less sandboxy. It's a pretty fantastic turn based combat RPG and well worth the money.
  14. I watch some triathlon stuff, weird history, and SNL clips. That's about it.
  15. I pay for Hulu Live, but at least it comes with disney+ and ESPN+, so I only have to make one massive payment instead of 3 smaller payments.
  16. Conan Exiles - This sorcerer stuff is fantastic. I think I get a golem eventually. I had to restart, but that's no issue, since I love the early game. The new journey stuff is different, but it makes for a good change of pace. They also redid the intro a bit. The crafting hammer makes construction much easier too.
  17. I was home sick yesterday and watched episode 1 of Night Agent. It was terrible. But then a show called The Recruit popped up on my Netflix list, and that is about a CIA lawyer. It is really good and I am a few episodes in. So thanks Netflix algorithm, sort of?
  18. I don't know much about it, since I'm way down in the South Bay, but they did something similar to Fort Ord in Monterey and it turned out really well. Granted the scales of these projects are very different. When I was in High School, I played roller hockey at Fort Ord. The base was abandoned already, but somebody turned a warehouse into a roller rink. It was a bit of a creepy place to play, but the high school league was competitive.
  19. The problem is BART is still stuck in the 90's. They haven't expanded or improved enough to meet the growth of the Bay Area.
  20. In California, they could just build houses that are reasonable in size, instead of the mini-mansions they keep building and selling for millions of dollars. But they'd also have to create a decent transportation system for people, so that is definitely a pipe dream.
  21. Ruby Bridges spoke at our school about a decade ago. She was fantastic and it was a powerful assembly. I couldn't imagime teaching in Florida right now.
  22. Huh, he is out there. Well good to know he's still keepin' on. He was pretty mellow the last couple years before he disappeared. I don't think we were edgy enough for him.
  23. This might interest @Guard Dog, but it might be behind a paywall... https://theathletic.com/4339875/2023/03/24/out-of-the-park-baseball-24/ Basically, some MLB teams are using Out of the Park Baseball to test scenarios and gameplan. It also give a great backstory to the game. The World Baseball Classic was amazing, btw. The best pitcher in the world faced off against the best hitter in the world in the 9th inning with a one run lead, and struck him out to win it for Japan. You can't write it any better than that.
