  1. You guys thinking what I'm thinking? Cleavage Bloodproof
  2. No that was a bit of a funny coincidence especially since I also decided to let my character be as ****y and immature as possible before I started playing, which Alistair is as well, so it's actually been quite a laugh to have him around. Although I do feel that Bioware totally ripped of my idea, even if they were first.
  3. Dark Spawn Batting Dwarf Tipping Headroller
  4. I agree Walsh (although they should rather realize that it'll only hurt their buisness in the long run), a very important concept of modern democracy is "free" information (of course paid of by other means as nothing is free). I found this comment interesting.. could there any truth to that?
  5. Looks more like GTA with Zombies really.. part of the cool in Carmageddon I think was that it wasn't only running people over, you had to win the race too.
  6. The first two, Interview with the Vampire and The Vampire Lestat are outstanding. Things fall apart in book three, Queen of the Damned and thats where I stopped although Ive heard Anne Rice redeemed herself somewhat in book four, Tale of the Body Thief. I dont know anthing about the remaining six, Memnoch the Devil, The Vampire Armand, Merrik, Blood and Gold, Blackwood Farm and Blood Canticle. I read "The Vampire Armand" and it's actually pretty good.. although afterwards Antonio Banderas seems rather silly in "Interview with the Vampire" as Armand was supposedly turned as a 15 year old and was an extremely religious vampire. - Edit: I haven't seen this film, but I had to share the embarrassing cover they've made for this one.. <- This being the original... And this is the altered Danish one, with an altered title as well.. I have to laugh at the pathetic photoshop edit!
  7. Not all games no, but it's pretty harsh to simply brush them all of on that premise.. some games are art, even some that don't aspire to it. But of course your average FPS, RPG etc is not. Just like your average movie is not, but saying that movies can't be art because the majority isn't, is also quite wrong.
  8. Yeah this is great news and hopefully it'll bring a lot of positive attention to Epic.. I do think it's rather common already to release engines to the public, especially when you have (or are going to) build a new one.
  9. Is it good, I thought the premise looked pretty interesting.. But I could imagine it gets repetitive in the end?
  10. Parish, the map in the demo actually has a cool level design imo. You fight through the streets of a city that seems like it was just hit by the zombies a few days ago and everyone has become infected or fled, while in the original you really felt left behind.. So it's true that you aren't as scared as in Left 4 Dead, because of it being the day and you see more of the military, other people etc than you do in the original (not like they are helping you though). This gives you a greater sense of urgency however to reach them before you are indeed left 4 dead.. The game has a very south-state feel to it. It could throw away some of the silliness if you ask me.. Using guitars and cooking pots as melee weapons seems out of place. Luckily you can leave them on the ground and use whatever you want instead.
  11. I thought it was good, but it takes some getting used to.. I was convinced I would hate the melee weapons, but the machete is actually pretty frakking cool! After running out of ammo with my main weapon and 30 zombies still coming at me - the screen, the weapon and most likely my character, turned red with blood and guts as I swung the sword in panic..
  12. Earth shall be named Googlearth - and there will be peace.. The proud people of Goomerica, Gurope, Gasia, even the South Goole, in fact every Googlean on Googlearth, will be happy.. I think I would like this future..
  13. I don't think they would enjoy it to be honest But I'll bring it up, if nothing else it's good to try different things.
  14. Mostly because no-one is capable I'm sure.. And you are kidding yourself if you think America is fighting this war over religious matters, it's greed that rules the western world now, not creed. For instance: I would love to see your proof on this, I personally know 3 muslims living in America right now who are saying the place is a lot more tolerant than Europe when it comes to religion and that they can live in peace and go about their daily lives.. Sure there are some religious nuts in America who thinks that all muslims are the root of all evil, but then again, I'm pretty sure the opposite is true in your country.. and how are the Christians treated there? Again, you are kidding yourself.. Iraq had a big army, but it was in shambles and the Americans steamrolled them. Simply because they had complete air supremacy, better equipment, training and resources. If the army in Iraq hadn't fought the Americans on their terms the actual invasion might've lasted days instead of hours. Switzerland has no say in what goes on in the rest of Europe, as they are not part of the European Union or any other organization. So what ever plans they might or might not have is pretty irrelevant.. And while Switzerland is more extreme in it's immigration policy than most other European countries they aren't really trying to throw anyone out, just keep those out they don't want in.. Which isn't muslims per say, but anyone with no education and no desire to fully and completely integrate.. It's even impossible for me to get a Swizz citizenship.. Are you saying that the Armenian massacre didn't happen? It's been documented by thousands of eyewitnesses, even allies of the Ottoman Empire. Why deny it? It's not like modern Turkey is responsible for what happened back then. Like modern Germany isn't responsible for what happened in WW2.
  15. Fun has the be the measurement used when you are using X hour(s) of your free time doing something. That was kind of what I worried about, as lightsabers and tiefighters don't really mix well with seriousness.. and somehow vampires do? well.. okay point taken..
  16. If the segment is larger than 50% I'd argue that there's something wrong with the law.. They are there for us, not the other way around.
  17. ....
  18. ^ exactly my thoughts.. I'm not worried about this and as a bonus it'll expose the douchbags who thought it up so we can order the hitmen to take 'em out.. for the sake of liberty of course!
  19. I've always played Cyberpunk if I wanted a sci-fi setting, mostly because I feel the SW setting is way too epic for the PnP playing style.. I've looked at the Star Trek system (can't remember it's name) once or twice, but I felt that it was too stiff. Have you had any good games with Star Wars Saga?
  20. This is an interesting point and one I've been thinking about as well.. What if, in the long run, a strong central goverment is more benficial to Afghanistan than an unstable and corrupt democratic one? In a perfect world we could support a reform friendly dictator, a tyrant in the greek sense, to slowly pull the country towards a more free and safe country. Unfortunately this isn't a perfect world and a dictator would probably employ methods to keep control we can't live with.
  21. I can't get it to work with Vista personally - and I don't think Gizka is getting it done any time soon..
  22. Upgraded the line.. looks a little better now..
  23. Just found SCP? Well I can say that your christmas starts early this year! It's awesome, if your PC can handle it. I loved it as well. Brilliant work and so polished(by mod standards)! My PC runs it quite smoothly( an 64 bit amd with an raedon 4650). I've done a couple of mission now, i like how you enter the training simulator to learn new things. The level of detail is amazing. Thank you for posting this.. Freespace is seriously one of my favourite games, this is like the most epic thing I've seen in years!!
  24. vast improvement?? I looks almost exactly like the original, only with slightly better graphics and it seems the enemies responds a little to being hit now, that really the only difference I see.. Let's use our eyes and watch the video. The first thing you notice, beyond the graphical improvements, is the animation has really become a lot better. Mass Effect 1 had the same problem a lot of RTC RPGs had, which is that it felt like you were playing a game of chess from the viewpoint of a pawn - characters practically slid instead of moved. Strafing and backpedaling looked ridiculous, the slow-motion run of the husks was comical, and everybody stood up straight all the time. The animations here are more fluid and dynamic. The second thing you notice is the reactions of the characters, which you noted. Combat looks much faster-paced. The third thing you notice is that weapons, at least the ones the PC is using, are off of the tiring battery system and actually have ammunition counts now. Gunplay in general just looks more satisfying. Asides from the reactions, which we both noticed, the only things you've listed are cosmetic changes.. I don't think that's vast, mostly because I thought you were talking about improvements to the gameplay mechanics.
