Game looks incredibly easy
Quillon replied to molotov.'s topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)No, not on the eyes, Thanks for the clarification. I feel so dumb now. What about the rest of my argument? You will respond to 5% of it? Really? I'm trying to stay awake as much as I can so when I eventually will sleep I should wake up closer to launch When I'm sleepless I occasionally post frivolously. Sorry for the derailment.

And I'm worried about aloth of other stuff, such is life. But I'm not worried about the reviews I'm just curious.

Baby on Board
Quillon replied to ThatUndeadLegacy's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Stories (Spoiler Warning!)Day 1 patches are usually applied on the game from the get go, Hopefully they caught the bug tho. edit: asked him about it: https://jesawyer.tumblr.com/post/173652711001/orlan-babies-arent-appearing-in-streamers-games

Baby on Board
Quillon replied to ThatUndeadLegacy's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Stories (Spoiler Warning!)Btw. Vela didn't appear on streamers' games who imported saves which had the baby in the backpacks but she appeared in one streamer's stream who chose a premade save. Should be a bug which would surely prevent me from using my save :/ Spoiler below: She should be on the first beach area near Eld Engrim, I'll check if she's there with imported save, if she's not I'll make a custom save...

What class(s) are you planning making your first character and why?
Quillon replied to Riftis's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Oh, is one of the streamers using a Mage Slayer? Did they fix the 50% duration reduction for release? They're removed it from the character creator descriptor in beta 4, but it was still applied in game. Haven't seen any, its just that a character who is multiclassed seemed more fun than when he/she was not in another stream. And I like consistency(chosen using all classes over making everyone multi) so I won't make all of them multiclass What's the problem with Mage Slayer, in more detail?

What class(s) are you planning making your first character and why?
Quillon replied to Riftis's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Was planning on single class Mage Slayer but after watching the streams, changed my mind. I'll be a Marauder(Mage Slayer + Streetfighter). Shodey will contemplate. Tekehu, Theurge. Rest will be single class; Eder being a fighter & Serafen, Cipher. edit: Incidentally, this template will use all classes without overlap while not missing out on unique companion subclasses.(not counting sidekicks)

Ok, I will just enjoy the sweet trailer with wonderful close-ups and dat Eothas myself till its released. SUCKERS!- Early Access Stream Friday 8am EST

Quillon replied to Wormerine's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Launch trailer's out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ytGGZQi9nuU (unlisted so don't share! )- [POTD Difficulty] Launch NOT tuned discussion thread
Quillon replied to Haran's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Berath's Blessings was supposed to add additional challenges(beside blessings), but they implied it'll limited to few options on release version, prolly mostly "blessings". We'll wait and see if they'll improve its options post-release if what I said earlier is the case. f.i. Naked run challenge was suggested by Adam Brennecke I believe, an option such as this would ramp up that PoTD difficulty- What's the general consensus about the current rest system?
Quillon replied to HAWmaro's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Since I haven't played it I don't have an opinion on it but what everyone's ignoring is crew is eating the same food and it effects their morale so there might be some resource management in there somewhere if you want a high morale crew...I guess. One plus side of it is everyone will use food(prolly craft them also) which many might have ignored in Pillars 1. Also companions having fav foods could have been nice little addition(like in FFXV) which I assume is not the case in Deadfire.- Non-combat party with no size limit
Quillon replied to Desliriem's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)There is no "real" reason for them to not be present tho, except for gameplay purposes/see above.I am trying to wrap my head around this statement. 1) It is a game. 2) game is revolving around gameplay. 3) gameplay is tuned to be played with a party of 5 - combat, relationships, scripted interactions. 4) there is no reason not to have everyone in your party. I feel like I am missing couple important bulletpoints between 3) and 4). There is no explanation in the game/lore/anywhere why can't you bring all the available forces in your hand. Its an arbitrary game limitation for combat, scripted interactions, maybe aesthetics even(relationships should work the same for any party size I guess). There could have been a reason like: The Watcher can't coordinate a team of murderhobos past a certain size efficiently so he/she prefers to have 4 allies at most etc. This is not a case just for PoE, no party based RPG bothers to explain it for some reason and usually no one asks why - Deadfire theme music
