Prophesies and chosen ones is a rather gimmicky way of controlling the course of a game. Everything must be done to preserve the illusion of freedom IMHO. I'm partial to detective work myself, Like old style adventure games. The main plot doesen't have to be a constant running your head against a brick wall, but a wealth of disoverable bonuses that aid your progress in the game or just reveal something new. I like that a lot. It also gives the player a real sense of accomplishment instead of feeling led by the hand. If it's too hard, well, thats what the internet is for. The spells you get from in depth discussions in PST, turning ppl to the dark/light side in KOTOR, etc.

The reason for the strong Hamas election has more to do with the system of corruption and favoratism that Arafat used to control FATAH, than any great shift in movement in the Palestinean public's view of Israel. On one hand their retoric clearly states that they will make no concessions whatsoever, on the other hand they realistically know that long term results come from negotiations. I don't think there is a single Hamas member that honestly thinks Israel is going to up and disapear from one day to the next, or that they are successfully going make them do so. The question is whether they are more interested in furthering their own organisation than the interests of the Palestinean people. The campaign by Israel to hamper Hamas canditates certainly helped them a great deal.

Suggestion one Jumping and crouching pls. Suggestion two. Sneaking pls. Involving arcade manouvering, not just a base stat. Suggestion three. Make forcepowers work something like the skill system in guidwars. Not that that is so amazing, but basically I want a counter move for every force attack to keep things more interesting than spamming the same three attacks again and again. Suggestion four. Make combat a little more than point and click. At the moment it's not even point at that, with autotargeting just click. More arcade input in combat, things to duck behind when you are getting shot at. Mouse aiming. etc. Suggestion five. Keep the evolving relationships with npcs and the interesting characters. It's the only thing that makes the game playable, and even replayable.

I'm so bored with computer animated full lenght movies. They don't have the soul of traditional animatied, and as much as good voice acting helps it's no substitute for a human actor. Only exception I can think of is wallace and Grommit.

I can't remember anything at all about Heart of Winter. I must have played it though, it's on the shelf.

That is not so strange since it was the final overhaul of the engine, but if we are to concentrate on the original impression when the games first came out.
