  1. I thought there was EU legislation in the works to ensure that digital content could change ownership, don't know what happened to it though.
  2. It very quickly gets boring without permadeath. I refer to the latest X Com game for why this is so. I would be much dissapointed if there was not at least a hardcore mode with permadeath.
  3. So ?. That's how things have been with books for as long as anyone can remember. There is no retail system in place anywhere where the manufacturer gets paid every time the item changes hands. Without used games there is no competition which is bad for consumers.
  4. Why don't you make one up. Seems like there is a demand.
  5. From Morgoth's Xbox Link The system can make sure the user is simply in the room while it plays, or it can tell the user to hold up a specific product. The camera would then scan the item held up and reward the user with an achievement. Yeah that's not invasive at all.
  6. I have a particular hatred for babysitting or stealth missions where when the precious cargo dies or you are discovered results in instant fail, but I take the point of the OP.
  7. Just a heads up. http://store.steampowered.com/app/219640/?snr=1_4_4__40 It's basically Medival Total War but you are the infantry. 60 players mashing it up with maces and claymores. Been told it's hilarious and it's only 7 something pounds.
  8. I forsee Oby being strangely absent for this part.
  9. You mean the Finish air force just happenes to have a Swastika design, or not as it were, purely by accident.
  10. How do you call this a terrorist attack anyway. I'm curious. I mean possibly it was politically motivated, but this is a murder. Also, apparently you can't ask trolls not to be trolls. Not even for 5 minuites to show a little goddamn respect.
  11. The formation of the Finish SS division was a demand from Hitler, a result of a desperate peace deal because the Russians weren't going to back down from their territorial expansion. They are possibly the only SS division not linked to war crimes and by all accounts aquitted themselves well, so regular people showing up to cheer on an SS flag. It's not quite as perverse as it appears at first glance. To their eyes these soldiers helped preserve Finland by being Hitler's mercenaries on the Eastern front.
  12. You know there is a formula for making stairs that aren't murder to navigate. I think it's a factor of 1 to 2 vertical incline to horiziontal distance, I'm not an architect. The steps should be just over a foot lengthwise. My knees hurt when I bike but it's not so bad if I stand up. Turns out you wear off cartillage and it doesn't always come back. Just wonderful.
  13. Sony is back in the black for the first time in ages and the Japanese economy is officially out of recession. Remember they said that about several Eurozone countries and they fell right back in, but the Japanese government seems to be ready to borrow any ammount of money to keep the stimulus going.
  14. Your TV, that you hook up your X Box to is already.... a TV.
  15. hahahaa. Man did they manage to be uncool.
  16. Internet connections aren't 'always online'. Whenever our ISP screws something up it usually involves 2-3 days with no connectivity, it only gets worse way out in the sticks.
  17. Definitely staged tho
  18. Yeah that should have been in another thread.
  19. I think my list would differ seasonally. I also think making a top ten makes about as much sense as the Eurovision song contest. There is no objective criteria for excellence.
  20. PS is still the one stop for photo editing. I could care less about their other products. Flash is destined to die out anyway as HTML takes over video functionality. It wasn't excellent when I last tried it, but that was a long time ago, maybe I should again.
  21. Torchlight hit the right balance I think. An upgrade of your most powerful set of pistolas happened about 4-5 times total and there were rares that you could use throughout the game because the effects stacked with others of the same kind.
  22. Ahh, level requirements for equipment was what made me lose interest in Borderlands. Every time you get something good it's obsolete 5 mins later. Completely takes away the excitement of a rare drop. You have to wait untill you have more or less finished the game before you can really start playing it and be able to keep what you find. That's just stupid.
  23. It has virtual dollars bought with real ones ?. Not interested. It more or less automatically means that the non checkbook assisted playthough will be extremely grind heavy. I have only seen two screenshots but it feels like I played it obsessively for months and finally got disgusted with it and uninstalled. Saves me some time anyway.
  24. Looks like you don't even need a logon anymore. They are posting serial numbers and treating it as abandonware. Not a whole lot has happened to the core functionalities of PS since then though. http://www.adobe.com/downloads/cs2_downloads/ Anyway if you are morally disinclined to use their software then good luck with GIMP.
  25. Photoshop CS 2 is free for download with an Adobe logon. That would be my first stop.
