Since it doesn't have very clear leadership and a cell based structure, it's basically no more than a loosely defined anti western terrorist ideology. If you are Al-Qaeda you generally shout it from the rooftops. They constantly try and outdo eachother to gain fame.

How quiet is your system. On paper fans are supposed to offer a good noise ratio, but over time **** gets into all the nooks and crannies and they start making an infernal racket. Some of that dust also gathers inside your graphics cooling unit where you can't get to it easily and requiring faster spinning under full load to compensate for reduced efficiency. There are still fans in a water cooled system, notably one fast spinning one near the CPU connection, but is that something that can easily be replaced, say once every year. No, 'g.ook' is not a racial slur. I should be offended the filter thought me so crass.

So you need content designed for the display in order to even use it. That's doesn't bode well for the success of the device. Or are they just talking about having more demos ready for a maximum launch effect.

You don't have to move your head at all, the controller can do that. I do kinda suspect the wow factor will wear off after a while. We'll see what actual humans (as opposed to gaming journalists) think when production models start becomming available.

It's basically what they wanted to do in the 90s with VR, but couldn't. It would be great for a compact gaming system, something that would fit in a small bag. The real question is how will it do endurance wize. Is it something you could bear having on for a few hours at a time. The hardware issues aren't insurmountable and the screens are already there. Apple retina display for instance. It should be able to mimic stereoscopic vision better than current generation 3D.

They want to stop a potential hard line sharia regime on the edge of Europe and protect their interests. The difference from, say, Chechnya, is that most of the world seems to agree which is why there is a UN mandate and a Pan African intervention force. France probably are getting nostalgic about their lost empire, but I seriously doubt this is a move to try and reinstate it.

They should do away with all level restrictions on gear and you should be able to level up your guns, or they should just do away with levels altogether. It's not a real RPG, it's a shooter. Only the nuissance elements of an RPG remain for some reason, I dunno why. Nothing less than that would bring me back to the game.

I don't know the names of any of these new breed hacktivists. Is this a fault on my part ?. Anyway, my hat's off to anyone who still thinks they can change the world for the better. It will pass with age, but it's nice while it lasts.

The moral of the story : don't use Outlook express. How many years ago since people started to notice that it would open emails without you asking it to.

They remember being close to breaking point in WW2. Stalin ordered deserters be shot on sight and no further retreats. Unlike Hitler's similar orders, It worked. In Russia much can be forgiven by showing strenght. In this he was not much different from the Tsars.

Syrian dictatorship continues slaughtering children

Yes. I believe their main interest is in writing these reports and being factual about it. Everything is connected to everything else. You aren't going to find any one body that is truly impartial. Of course it could well be argued that they shoud'nt have any employees at all, just volounteers. -

I take Amnesty international to be a credible source, especially because the US have tried to discredit them in the past. I haven't heard of these other suspected CIA outfits. Copy pasting their entire payroll is not really an argument. Sheer volume of text is not one in itself either. -
You should really try Day Z. It's a miliray shooter, but it's also an ironman MMO, and it doesn't have the stupid pretext of a story. There is no shoehorning. Your game is over when you have 40 hrs on the same char, got all the cool gear you wanted and you are still alive. One mistake though and it's over. That's pretty far from the samey boredom of 99% of all games right now.

I'm kinda curious what you think of Syria's human rights record. Or does that simply not register through your centimeter thick Russia goggles. -

The main concern for me is what will be the end result. Will the Syrian people have self determination (Libyia) or will Al Qaeda or the Muslim Brotherhood wind up holding all the cards. They are just as interested in regime change as a way of shifting the geopolitical situation as is the West. There is a potentially huge gain with very little direct risk to backing the right group in Syria, but it's a gamble. Also I wonder if Russian media have not been alterning its reporting to suit the convenience of continued arms sales to Syria and resisting regime change efforts as a matter of course, no matter if they are justified or not. It's kinda hard to know what motivates news organisations in a country where criticising the president can land you in jail. -
We are told that, here in Denmark and northern Europe - but if you talk to people not of European descent out in the world, most can't drink more than a glass of milk without getting stomach ache, but of couse some can like Labadal. My last girlfriend was of Jewish ancestry and she couldn't digest milk.. I think most of us in the west are simply lactose tolerant and the rest aren't to the same degree. Just go to France, the don't drink nearly the same amount of milk we do in England or the Nordic countries. And when I lived in Paris people would often remark that they had stomach cramps if they drank as much as I did, which was about a pint a day. Found some soruces on it.. These are people who can't digest milk.. "The frequency of decreased lactase activity ranges from 5% in northern Europe through 71% for Sicily to more than 90% in some African and Asian countries" Link That's most likely the cause then.. Which is why, if you work out, you should often measure your fat percentage and/or your waist/arm/leg circumference and not just relay on the weight. That way you see the actual results and don't get discouraged when you aren't losing weight. That's interesting. Going by the number of empty cartons I have lying around I probably drink more than two liters of milk every day. I never drink sodas or energy drinks though.

I tend to agree that the paranoia and entitlement of the few are keeping any real solutions off the table. A lot of people screaming 'gun control doesn't work' like a mantra. Like saying it loud enough enough times would make it true. Gun control will work if the government does what they are all afraid of; if it takes away everyone's guns.
