It very quickly gets boring without permadeath. I refer to the latest X Com game for why this is so. I would be much dissapointed if there was not at least a hardcore mode with permadeath.

You know there is a formula for making stairs that aren't murder to navigate. I think it's a factor of 1 to 2 vertical incline to horiziontal distance, I'm not an architect. Internet connections aren't 'always online'. Whenever our ISP screws something up it usually involves 2-3 days with no connectivity, it only gets worse way out in the sticks.
